My family and I have eaten here twice and loved it! Food is great, service exceptional, and we especially enjoy the outdoor seating. Oh, and there’s a nice selection of beers. A must try for lunch or dinner on a nice day/evening in Pawleys!

This is a great place for dinner. They have some excellent entrees, yet you can opt for a burger or sandwich at very reasonable prices. We happened to be there for lobster night and that is what I ordered — -two large tails with a corn/sausage relish. It was great and only $ 14.50. The lobster tails were as good as I have had anywhere at any price. My wife got the crab cake sandwich and said it was near perfect. We both had the she crab soup and it was good, but a little salty. We were with a group of 8 and Robin did a great job wailing on us.

Um… YUM. Lobster Night is a must… $ 15 for two tails and two sides? Super! Plus, they’re willing to accommodate special requests — we didn’t come on the designated shrimp special night and they still made my grandma a plate — AWESOME. The corn & sausage side is REALLY good, like so good I can eat it alone as an entrée. It’s surrounded by cute local shops and a duck pond if you’re looking for something to do before/after your meal. And the duck. The duck is awesome(if you sit on the patio, there is a duck that patrols through the tables and accepts your meager offerings as his due. Salut monsieur).

This place was exactly okay. The She crab soup and the soup de jour(crab chowder) was not too bad. The crab cake was a bit small but had a decent flavor. Our waiter was nice, but it took a while. The décor was blah inside so we sat on the patio outside. I wasn’t upset leaving, but I wouldn’t pick this place as a repeat spot.

Had a grilled chicken sandwich here with chips and sweet tea. The sandwich was very bland, the chips were just Ruffles, and the tea was nothing to write home about. I can’t really say I’d ever want to eat here again. There are certainly better places in the area.

Meh. Food was okay, sort of boring and bland. The sides were limited — rice and frozen veggies. Blah. The service was good but I wasn’t impressed enough to return for dinner.

We came for the Monday night shrimp special(one pound, any way you want them prepared) but we were wowed by the appetizers. «Myriads of Oysters» was fantastic — with fried green tomatoes, blue cheese, etc. Lightly grilled sashimi-grade tuna was also fantastic. Grilled ham & cheese was also tasty if you prefer a sandwich. The aforementioned shrimp dinners were very good(as good as anywhere else) and definitely a great value. We only regret not trying some of the specials, which looked really good. I would definitely come back.

Fine, but boring. Sweet tea good, soup ok, ambiance… it looked every bit of 25 years old. It needs a refresh and some better salads.

For the last 20 years this is the #1 place I go when I’m in the area. Their sandwich with roast beef and brie is to die for. And our whole family has always loved the lobster nights. Enjoy the ducks out in the water around the restaurant. And all the little shops surrounding the restaurant are a must. The rooms are fun and quirky and beachy, but I love sitting outside on the porch or overlooking the little pond as well. Love this place!

Great food, Great service. My wife and I had the flounder fish sandwich, and fries. It all tasted great, cooked to perfection. 10% off if you go by «All Fired Up» paint-your-own-pottery next door first!

Great deli food. My husband had the Strom Thurmond sandwich and I had roast beef with sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms on rye. Very fresh, made to order and tasted great — so much so that we both ate all of the very large portions! Very friendly and attentive wait staff.

Good service during a busy lunch time. Salad & salmon quiche were very good. Same for shrimp & grits as well as fried platter of shrimp & fish. Bit noisy, but should be expected. Prices fair, service attentive.

In a word… awful. The waitress was friendly but the food was simply poor. Definitely not worth the price.

Not all it’s cracked up to be. Lobsters were small, forgot our appetizer and felt rushed even though the place was empty.

This was a very good recommendation. And I would have driven right past it without the heads-up. The Island Café & Deli is a comfortable little establishment that serves up hand-crafted meals with an island flair. The shrimp salad is a winner. This is the thing which was originally recommended to us, and I can see why. We had it on a sandwich. A BIG sandwich. With some fruit. Outstanding. We also had the flounder sandwich(a «fresh, local catch» special). It was also quite good, very lightly fried and served up next to some fries and some excellent slaw. This was exactly what a fish-sandwich should be. Prices were just slightly high, but not wholly unreasonable, especially since we’re talking some generously-sized portions of hand-crafted«island-fare.» Staff also seemed to be working very hard to make sure we were well taken care of. Nestled in a bunch of boutique shops & spas, this place is worth a visit next time you’re in the area.

The food here is decent. I had the myriad of oysters, which I’ve had before. The last time I had it I loved it, so i wanted to try it again. This time it was too salty. I couldn’t really finish it. I had the she crab soup before that and found it tasty. Everyone else in my group had crab cakes and said they were good. My husband is disturbed by the fact that there’s a Strom Thurmond sandwich on the menu. It doesn’t bother me. Its a casual place that isn’t trying to be fancy. If you want a good, reasonably priced meal, you won’t go too wrong here.

I love this place! The staff is great and after dining here several times I became a regular. They accommodate diet restrictions and will work with you if you have allergies. The head cook comes out every so often to check how food is and I think that’s great. Pound and a quarter lobsters over the weekend and lobster shrimp night tues/wed makes this a great place any day!

I love this place. I have been dining here for as long as I can remember. Located at the Island Shops in Pawley’s Island. They have a fairly large menu with a selection that is sure to please everyone in your party. The portions are generous and the staff is always friendly. Things can be kind of slow, so I would not recommend going here if you are in a hurry.
