LOVE, love Sunset Lounge. My fiancé and myself are current residents and first time visit was a great experience We were waited drinks and food service provided by Michael. GREAT customer service Michael !! We will be coming back specifically because of him and the quality of food /the view all combined. Very welcoming and his enthusiasm made our time so much fun. Great food. Reasonable pricing. Perfect for day out in the sun to relax with family or friends… Greeted by all very nice people.. Troy was also very helpful in giving me a tour of the property, Both made us very comfortable and love that the lounge is conveniently located near our home. Thanks guys ! And we will be back for some cold ones and the Parmesan garlic fries soon!

Nestled in the mountain range above Patterson — This quaint spot thrives because the residents want it to. The local support from The Diablo Grande community — Speaks loudly around how important the Sunset Lounge is within its gated borders. Although — it is one golf course less — The overall presentation and residential pride makes the Sunset Lounge THRIVE!

Had lunch here and I am giving it a one star because of the beautiful scenery. I had the Tossed Cobb Salad. Tasted a little funny but not bad. My hubby had the mac and cheese which was pretty good. The carpet should be cleaned or replaced in the restaurant. The problem was after we left maybe a mile or so down the road I started to feel sick. Had bad stomach problems. I won’t go into detail but I know it was something I ate because my hubby got sick about 20 minutes or so later. I believe it was something in my salad cuz I was sicker than my husband. It wasn’t the chicken cuz he atea little of the salad but didn’t eat the chicken. He called the next day to tell them. They said sorry and acted like they didn’t care. Don’t think I’ll be back.

We were not a party of 26. There were four of us. A picky four at that. We walked in unannounced and were seated immediately by a most sincere and friendly staff. The place was full and as a result, a bit loud. As the lunch crowd thinned out, the Sunset Lounge became a very civilized and relaxing spot. A complete surprise and delight. Delicious lunch surrounded by beautiful countryside. My wife and kids shared a few of their favorites and they were all happy with their choices. I ordered the wedge salad and bowl of soup. A rich Beef Stew thinned a bit. It was great. My salad had a rich and flavorful dressing with just the right amount of kick. I really liked how the onions and tomatoes were off to the side so I could easily compliment each bite of fresh lettuce with a perfect amount of complimentary flavors and textures of the onions and tomatoes. I asked for bacon on top and sure enough, they topped the salad with an adequate amount. My four year old ate most of my soup as I was enjoying my wedge. That in and of itself is quite a compliment. Can’t wait to go again. A good many choices on the menu with something for every taste. Good job taking wonderful care of a family of four. We’ll be back at least 7 times to make up for the party 26 that had an issue.

Favorite local spot for breakfast & lunch with my family and friends when we want to head over the hill to Diablo Grande. Omelets are good and the pancakes are better than the Ihop and Dennys kind. Good Philly Cheese steak and the burgers are good with steak fries. Flat screen TV in the dining area with the Golf channel on of course because it’s a Golf club house but they will throw it on ESPN at your request. There is also a beautiful spot outside with views of the rolling hills or you can just watch peeps play golf on the green while you get your grub on. Food is reasonably priced and the staff are really cool or at least when I stop by. Free Wi-Fi to your notebook or Android too.

Booked a lunch for 26 people last weekend. We were told it would be no problem to accomodate the number of people and we could order off the regular menu. After 45 minutes of waiting the staff brought bread plates and told us the bread was in the oven! What??? Then when they served the bread it was cut so thin it was obvious they didn’t have enough to go around and were trying to stretch it. Sheesh! After an hour and a half the food started to arrive but it took a full 45 minutes for all of us to be served AND the food was cold and incredibly mediocre. You would think they would have been better prepared to deal with our group as they had a month’s warning. This place is a very sorry excuse for a restaurant. I will never go back.

Complete disaster. I was part of the group of 26, and the event planner. I should have suspected there would be problems when I couldn’t get return phone calls or email from the food and beverage manager. I made a reservation for 26 family members at least a month in advance, and asked if there would be a problem if we just ordered off the menu, instead of some kind of «banquet» food. I was told that wasn’t a problem. We arrived early for our reservation, and three tables were already set up in a separate room for our family. We were assigned two waiters and two other service people for our party. We ordered quickly, and then we sat… and sat… and sat… and sat. After more than fifteen minutes, I had to ASK the headwaiter for our tables. Another fifteen minutes passed, and they delivered cold, stale bread that was sliced into transparent slices. Then we sat… and sat… and sat… When the food started to come out, they would delivery two or three plates, then we would wait 10 minutes, then two or three more plates would emerge, then we would wait another 10 minutes, etc. After more than an hour of this, and about one-third of our party had not received food yet, I cornered the waiter, and he apologized, saying they«were trying to get all the meals out at the same time.» Except when the meals were delivered, they were room temperature at best. The food was dreadful. Greasy, tasteless, and cold. Even those who had ordered salads had to wait an hour. My 80-year-old mother, who was the guest of honor(something the staff knew) was one of the LAST to be served. She had ordered a hot pastrami sandwich, and it arrived cold. To their credit, they apologized over and over again. But this wasn’t just a kitchen problem, or a staff problem. This was a complete meltdown of the entire establishment. I won’t be back.

Had dinner last night and it was cooked by chef scott. It was the best food I have ever had there! My family and I frequent the pool and pool side service all summer long almost daily. Often we end up at the lounge to wrap up the day with a bite to eat and sometimes dessert by the fire pit. We love this place. We’ve become chums with the staff because we’re there so often. Looking forward to summer days! Going to keep track of scott’s schedule and make sure to eat there when he’s in the kitchen! Tip: if you deal with the right people there, you’ll get what you want. there are some douche bags that work there but they are everywhere you go anyway! you can always ask for a different waiter.
