Excellent service, great place to take the family. The food is always excellent. I enjoy the kabsa from here. This was the first shawarma spot I ever tried and my family loves coming here, order a side of garlic butter, it’s gold. Consistently good food. Can’t wait to come back.

OK food. Hummus and beef shawarma was seriously lacking flavor. You can tell the waiter was used to taking orders in Arabic, as he was having difficulty understanding our order, but he was trying. Would not come back again simply because of food taste. I don’t think they marinate their meat.

my friend Noah and His Father’s restaurant who I met while fishing were gracious enough to invite me and a friend to their establishment, and from the warm greeting to the hospitality right off the bat I knew this was going to be a culinary experience of epic proportions. I was not mistaken. The food was extravagant and portions generous. The taste was out of this world delicious. I ordered the lamb shawerma platter, with grape leaves on the side. this was delectable and full of herbs and spices you do not find in modern middle eastern establishments, these were recipes made with love. My friend ordered the Lamb kebab and said it was tender and juicy. The falafel was perfect, the hummus was spot on. I cannot wait to sample the other items on the menu, with many more trips to my favorite street in Paterson, a friendly area where cars stop and wave with a smile to let you cross the street as if they know you are going to eat at the right place. 6 Stars all around. Great family business, I encourage all to come and eat here.

Mt friend Mohammed took me here 20 years ago and told me if I want the closest to homemade to come here, and I’ve been going here once a week ever since. The food is made fresh here and it is family owned and run, which are very friendly. The kebabs are grilled and so tasty and for those who like spicy try the spicy bread. I have never tasted better dips, if you get the Hummus, ask for the green sauce with it, great garlic, lime and pepper mix! and the felafels along with everything else is the best in the area!

Ordered chicken shawarma platter. Which was pretty good. The chicken kabab platter was also okay. Lamb kabobs sucked big time…

Went there yesterday(2÷3÷13) with my dad and friend. My dad and I are Middle Eastern and my friend is Russian. We all loved the food! We had the falafel appetizer which was very good and fresh, the cumber & yogurt salad which was also fresh yet refreshing, my friend and I ordered the Shish Kabob entrée(lamb over really good rice) which we loved and my dad ordered the Kofta entrée which is ground beef with Middle Eastern spices and also came over«that“rice. My dad said the Kofta was really good and let my friend have a taste of the Kofta. Her response was the Kofta tasted even better than the lamb and would come back to order it. All entrees come with hummus, pita bread, and an Arabic salad which is served family style. Service was nice and laid back. You get to seat yourself and since it was pretty slow(I suspect the reason is because it was Superbowl Superbowl Sunday) we had to remind them to bring the check. Prices are reasonable and you have to park on the street. It looks pretty dinky in the entrance but the seating in the back is much nicer.

This is my favorite and go to for all middle eastern cuisine. Fresh kebabs and chops. Great value. Free drink with any sandwich. So u get an amazing falafel, shwarama, kebab or Kofte sandwich and a drink from $ 3 – 5. Awesome deal. Take out or sit down in the back. This is a divey/local spot. Very casual. The food here is very serious. I live a ways away but ever since I tried this place with my Afghani friend who recommended it… I’ve told everyone of my local friends. They all frequent the place now and I go back a bunch as well! Freshest spot in Paterson and all of Bergen/Passaic for all of your middle eastern food desires! All the locals go here. Enough said.

Beef Shawarma’s and Kofta Kabab sandwiches are awesome! I have eaten shawarma all around the world and they are good, i wouldn’t call them the best. Their value is great — you get a sandwich and drink. for under 5 bucks.

Beef and Chicken Shawarma Platter is what you should order here. This goes with salad, pita bread and hummus on the side. i like spice so i asked for their hot sauce too; i tell you, that hot sauce is blended really good! one order of the platter is good for two people and is reasonably priced. if you want to bring this up one notch… order the Lamb Kebab on top of the platter! BTW — their real name is Salah Edin… that’s what i saw on the menu :-)

Salahedin is my favorite Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant. Its not a fine dinning establishment but the service is great and the food very fresh and tasty. I strongly recommend this place.

Salahedin is very possibly my favorite restaurant in the state. We make a point of getting out to Paterson every few months, just to eat there. I stopped by last week to buy a take out order and the guy at the counter asked me if I had ever had one of their spinach pies. «They are right out of the oven now, I’ll get you one.» So, for no reason, just to give me a taste he pulls this hot, gorgeous, flaky spinach pie out and I(who had not had lunch so was very receptive) was blown away. He said, «I know you, you come all the time, so enjoy a spinach pie.» I felt so taken care of. I love the folks at Salahedin. They are so kind and generous and the food is consistently excellent.

We got some kind of combination platter and it came with rice on the bottom. Different varieties of grilled meat on top.(Chicken, lamb chop, etc) Maybe we order the wrong stuff but we went with a Middle Eastern guide and that’s what he order. The bread they gave us look like they bought it from Shop Rite(Whole Food, etc) and served it. I’m not kidding. The bread was in a plastic bag with a plastic ties so definitely no made fresh there. Since the meat was grilled, the flavor was charcoal.

This place serves up some of the best middle eastern food in P-Town. In an area awash in this type of cuisine, it does stand out. Not the prettiest place around by any measure nor is it formal(ask for a pepsi and you get a can and a straw), but it does what it sets out to do well: serve up excellent, affordable fare. I’d honestly give it 5 stars, but the service needs improvement. They don’t really have proper waiters. A small price to pay for the food you get though. I’ll be back soon. Go. Now.
