This was my first visit to this hospital and more than likely my last for the time being. I had a half way decent experience the reason being the staff were polite and helpful. First, I was to sign in for my physical with Dr. Nelson(Internal Medicine) for an 11 am appt which turned into over an hour wait. In the meantime, my paperwork was completed, my insurance and identidication taken, and my vitals What I did like about my visit was that the staff had some banter among the patients and a sense of humor. The girl who took my vitals though seemed new and was unable to spell my condition(thank God I had my smart phone) then off I went back to the waiting room. I was ushered back into a small examination room where it felt like forever to wait for Dr. Nelson. Now I understand doctors are swamped and keep in mind they do serve a predominantly lower income group of people with an array of illnesses. So I didn’t hold it over his head. He entered the room and had great bedside manner, was nice to talk, and of course addressed all my ills(which there were none LOL) I must say I was thoroughly impressed because I asked the doctor could I have my bloodwork done and the lab literally was just a few feet from the exam room. My bloodwork was done once again by a cordial and efficient staff Pros: The treatment I received was more than fair Cordial staff Conveniently located for the local community Cons: The long wait to be seen
