The Home Depot

Always have what I need fortunately. Would recommend this place over any other local hardware store in the area because of the selection. My only recommendation would be to start closing at 10pm again and open more lanes up during the day.

Neat and clean but not the place to go if you’re looking for appliances nobody knew what they were talking about

I’m giving them two stars only because they ultimately did the right thing. Not because it was the right thing to do but because they No longer wanted to deal with me.
I had bought a planter that hangs on the railing of my deck. Filled it with soil and flowers and was pleased. The next morning it was upside down on my deck, flowers trashed. Imagine my pissed off-​ness. So I bring it back today, planter, flowers and soil. The woman at the return counter had no idea how to deal with this. She calls manager and he says because I have no receipt there’s nothing they can do.
Imagine how livid I was when it happened. Well multiply that by ten when I heard this!
I made them summon said manager and oh how the story changes when they have to deal with you face to face. Still got an attitude but they acquiesced. They replaced my hanger and flowers.
Long story short, always speak to higher ups when your not satisfied with what they tell there underlings to tell you.

Went there to get a key made. Stood there waiting 15 minutes then asked somebody coming by hey can I get a key made they told me key guy out to lunch and they would try to find somebody else needless to say nobody came so I left. I mean you got to be kidding me with this service.

Worst Home Depot Ive ever been to! I went to paint and there was this skinny lady with a hat and glasses who had no idea what she was doing! Why hire someone for paint if she has no clue what she doing? She was extremely lost and didn’t know how to deal with my situation. She is so rude and had an attitude whenever I ask her another question! This Home Depot has to hire good employees that KNOW what they are doing!!!

Every salesperson I have come in contact with has been wonderful. Yes, it’s the typical Home Depot, but this location has a great sales staff, knowledgeable in their designated departments. This is important when doing your do-​it-​yourself projects!

Location is great and the store always has everything I need for home repair and remodeling. Staff are always friendly and helpful whatever the project. Free kids workshops and adult do it yourself workshops make it a great store for the family.

I doubt I will be spending money here ever again.
I’ve been here several times and have only encountered ONE helpful employee.
Most everyone who works there doesn’t really care about their job. They don’t even know where things are and their attitudes are depressing at best. The last time I came in, it was 8:55 pm and I needed to run in for one thing super quick. The doors were locked so I went in through the exit side. The older blonde woman working the checkout saw me walk in and shouted at me that they were closed. When I said that they used to be open until 10 pm, she rudely pointed her finger in my face and screamed «NOPE». At that point, I turned around and went home, certain that I will never be stepping foot into that store again.

Average Home Depot. Registers were a little slow, but otherwise ok.

It’s a Home Depot! The staff here is always friendly and helpful, and since it’s a Home Depot… They generally have everything I can ask for in terms of tools and supplies for jobs around the house. What else can you expect?

If this home dept were a puppy, it would fetch the paper for you every morning while looking at you with cute googly eyes and wagging it’s tail. The Patchogue home dept is probably the most helpful and organized Home Depot I’ve ever encountered.
Every other aisle I went down someone was greeting me and asking me if I needed help finding something. Really?! This comes as a shock because during a trip to home dept you often have to allot an extra 15 mins to not only find but be able to talk to someone about painters tape or borax or whatnot. Outlets, electrical adapters and other doodads that I needed were fairly inexpensive too. I found everything and was out fast.
Parking lot is crowded and busy but to be expected. Park at the end and go for a little walk to avoid frustration.
Did you know they offer a vets/​military discount program? Good for them.

So close to my house. How could I not love THAT! Most of the staff is ok. A few very knowledgeable but you have to find them.

The Patchogue? (Bellport outlet) Home Depot is the best I have seen. It is very new and clean. It is much brighter than typical HD’s that have that dungeon look nailed down.
The design center is located upstairs so it is easy to find specialists in that area ready to help you. You won’t get the «This ain’t my department» response up there. Associates have no reason to be up there if it is not their area of specialty.
The isles are very wide and easy to move lumber and sheet goods around without having to look out for support columns and baby strollers.
One of the best features is that no one shops here at the moment (or maybe ever). It is extremely easy to get in, get stuff, and get out. I actually feel bad for the cashiers who look extremely bored with the lack of customers to check out. Sometimes they get a sparkle in their eye and a smile on their face when I coming towards them like they are actually excited that they are going to get to do something. Then I crush their hopes and dreams by veering off to the self checkout.
I could not give this Home Depot 5 stars for the following. They do not offer a low cost rental pick up truck like other stores do. Also, I live one town away and they want to charge about $ 75 to deliver to my home.
