Food is very good. big portions though so come hungry or order something you can wrap. Not crazy about table for two by fire door next to the fire extinguisher. Need to re-think that. Staff very friendly and attentive. Stuffed Platano appetizer very creative but a meal in itself so once again venga con mucha hambre!

The good part about this place was the wait staff — very nice. The food was just ok. There were 2 of us and they got both orders wrong. Both were to come with rice and beans, they were no where to be found. When we asked only one order was brought out. The bill came to $ 80 which I thought was very pricey — do not by any means get the empanadas. Sorry to say I wont be going back any time soon.

Delicious food, extremely potent margaritas, and outstanding service! I have not one complaint about this restaurant and I absolutely cannot wait to go back! My boyfriend and I had the chicken quesadillas as an appetizer and they were super yummy. For the main course, I had a chicken burrito, enchilada, and guacamole tostado and it was all soooo good. My boyfriend had fajitas and couldn’t even finish it! There was so much food! To top it all off, there was a guy walking around singing and entertaining everyone. It was great and really made the restaurant have that authentic feel.

Depending on the night the food is great. We’ve eaten there on three occasions. Food was fresh and great on two of the nights. One on a Wednesday was not as good. Drinks are great and service is excellent. The prices are a little high. Chips with the salsa could be a little better. Deserves a few more chances. Probably on a Thursday night. The food seems to be better. Maybe a different chef.

Hands down outstanding authentic Latin cuisine. Soups outrageous. Tostones Don Quixote are a must. Guacamole was fresh and delish. Bondeja Tipica was delish. Great place for groups or late night. Ask for Vinny he’s awesome. Friendly staff LOVE

Drinks were extremely overpriced and weak. I had to request extra shots for each Margarita. The food was tasty(I had the fajita burrito with carne asada) however, it too was extremely overpriced. A meal with 2 drinks and a burrito cost me 45 dollars with a modest tip.

My husband and I came here for the first time to have lunch today. We were very disappointed. The prices seemed quite high to be the lunch menu. The chips on the table were all different thicknesses(most too thick for me to enjoy) and my husband commented that the salsa seemed like it was from a jar. My shrimp quesadilla was mediocre and my husband’s eggs rancheros were overcooked. The waitstaff seemed indifferent that we were there and we sat in a corner while they focused on a large party that arrived halfway through our meal. With all the options in the area, we won’t be back again.

This is the former Meson Olé with a(kinda) fresh coat of paint. Our server was efficient and kind, though her delivery of our tequila flight was less than informative. The minute I tasted the gelatinous salsa, I was SURE this was still Meson Olé whose salsa was such a disappointment. Our margaritas were way too sweet. I got the Skinny Girl not because I want to be skinny, but because I wanted simplicity. It tasted like a mouthful of sugar. I would have much preferred to taste the tequila which was lacking. My partner had the spicy margarita– he liked it – he doesn’t usually enjoy tequila. Our appetizer was where it simply went South for us; we ordered the shrimp filled avocado with a pink sauce. Holy pink sauce. It was very difficult to find the shrimp and avocado under the sea of sauce. I seriously wish we had taken a picture because my words cannot express how much sauce was on this dish. And it was mayo with ketchup – the old school Russian dressing mom used to make… ladled on with a heavy hand. It was not the fresh appetizer we had hoped for. I ordered the shrimp with garlic on rice, my partner got the strip steak and cheese enchilada. He really liked his. I took a taste of the enchilada and refried beans and both were good. My dish was good too; there was something though about the consistency and the presentation which put me off at first. The flavor was there though. We didn’t stay for dessert. I really, really want a good, local restaurant to succeed. I would not, however, go back here unless the 1. drink menu was revamped, 2. chef took some more care with presentation, 3. a new, fresh salsa was prepared, 4. a real tequila menu was available. For a place that calls itself a tequila bar, there was no flight presentation. Four shot glasses with DRY limes placed on top and a mumbled presentation by our server. I still don’t know what brand of tequila I had with the exception of the last taste. It just lacked freshness and uniqueness and it doesn’t seem worth a return trip.

Ven a Don Quijote! Comida muy rica. La carne muy suave y llena de sabor. Ordenan Las margaritas! La de fresa es deliciosa y lo recommendo.

Starting off I am surprised at the small amount of reviews. Kind of not a good sign. Which takes me to my review: I was not a fan of the chips and salsa. I live for Chips and Salsa. They did taste like they came out of a bag and not a good brand. They were too hard and thick and not even heated up with at least some salt sprinkled on them; which might have helped. The salsa itself was not homemade. Also, spoiled by other Mexican/Latin Restaurants in the area, some hot sauce samples on the table would have been a nice addition. I always feel bad not giving a good review but there was just not anything that stood out food-wise. The service was great and they were all professional and nice. But the food was overpriced a) for the choices and b) for the portion and flavor. I ended up choosing the combo platter since it was the least expensive at $ 16.95(Beef Taco, Chicken Enchilada and Cheese Burrito). I have had that same platter all over the country and it’s usually one of the least expensive items on the menu. I happen to love getting that or Fajitas but am always interested in trying something new. Therefore, I was hoping for the higher price it would have been great or unique. But unfortunately not. The décor is nice though. I like the new floor. If the prices were a little more reasonable I would go back and try again. My Fiancé said he won’t go back so if I do try again it wont be with him. I agree with what others said that it feels like the same owners as Meson Olé who’s food had almost no flavor. Mostly I am disappointed as we live close by and it has a parking lot. :(

I’ve been to the Miller Place locations many times and the Patchogue location a couple times… Food Is AMAZING! It might seem a bit critical due to the previous restaurant that was here, BUT it’s different. The ingredients and preparation of these delicious meals is much better than you imagine. The staff is simply kind and caring towards the smallest details. The place is very warm, inviting and romantic. Don’t get me started on the sangria! GO ahead and try it out. It’s a must!

Don’t go. Rotten salsa to start and it doesn’t get any better. The staff is friendly. Can’t think of much else nice to say. Cramped. Overpriced. Adiós amigos.

This is very overpriced for Mexican food. It isn’t possible to order a main course for less than $ 17 and that is without meat. I ordered a chili rellano, taco, and tamale combination for $ 20. The quality and taste were no better than the mexigrill2000 only it would have cost $ 10 bucks max. Good luck to them, but the service wasn’t anything impressive to justify the premium for subpar Mexican food.

The best way to sum up Don Quioxote(in the location of the old Messon Olé) is it tastes exactly the same as the old Messon Olé, right down to the salsa they bring to the tables. They do have a more expanded upscale premium drink menu, but the food is exactly the same taste and quality, at a much higher price. The service was good, and the staff was quite friendly. I do have to say, the Margaritas($ 12.95) were delicious. I had the 3 enchilada combination(chicken, beef, cheese — $ 17.95), it was good, but nothing that has me urging to go back to have it again anytime soon. My wife had the build your own combination(beef hard taco, shrimp taco, and she ordered a fish taco but instead they brought a shrimp chipolte burrito — $ 20.95) — the shrimp taco was weak, but the other 2 were decent, but yet again, nothing that says I can’t wait to come back. All in all it was ok… if you liked Messon Olé, you will like this place.

The night was amazing. A group of 6 of us out for great food. We started with some appetizers of this huge tortilla bowl of nachos. That was enough for all of us. We also had quesadillas at the table which were really delicious with sour cream and guacamole. My drink was a punch that was brightly red abs extremely tasty. I ordered camarones alajillo. Shrimps in garlic sauce sitting g on a bed of yellow rice. I must say it was delicious but I was not expecting it to be spicy. On a spicy meter from 1−10… 10 being really spicy it was A 5. The place was beautiful. I will be back for sure.

Was looking forward to a good margarita. …not here. Tried a classic margarita and they use mix out of a gun for the basic drink. Sent it back, probably paid double, then realized that they use straight table salt instead of margarita salt. When I inquired about it, the bartender said we are trying not to get too fancy. Salsa and chips are not homemade. Yuck… Not much has changed since prior owner. Looks exactly the same and I happen to think it is the same owner as before. Extremely disappointed… honestly I was afraid to order a whole meal. If you can’t get past the chips and salsa and a remake of the original drink, it’s simply not worth it.

I was always a customer at the Miller place location and always satisfied. Wow! Was I wrong. This place sucked. Had a reservation and waited ½ hour for our table. Steak was tough, beans and rice hard. We were a large party and they forgot my daughters food. I finally asked for a manager and they tell me a waiter who looked 12 years old was the manager. what a joke! Will never go back.

Service sucked, food and margaritas were good. You would think if this was a second restaurant they would have a better wait staff that knew what food was in the menu, right?

Newly opened sister restaurant to Don Quixote in Miller Place. The margaritas are excellent, probably the best in Suffolk County. If the food is anything like MP, your in for a treat.

My expectations whenever I have Mexican is extremely low., the number one is the margarita. They did very well here. For a local joint the food was well above my expectations. The décor is nice, the servers were friendly, and just for the margarita I would do it again. This will be in my quarterly rotation. :)

Sat at bar asked for Red bull and stoli o. They had no red bull. I asked for a Reco on food they said carne dish so I said fine. First bite thing was ice cold inside. I said just charge me i don’t want it I don’t want to get sick I just want to go. He wouldn’t charge me. There are maybe 5 people in the restaurant we were already eating so why you can’t cook food hot is beyond me. It looks like this place owns another one of these places in miller place so they don’t need time to work out kinks. They should know what there doing. Eat here at your own risk.
