Tried this place twice and both times wasn’t happy. First time was told they don’t have rolls and don’t make egg sandwiches with meat, they’re kosher. Ok, fine. Second time I went, I ordered a pound of cream cheese under the assumption that I’d pay for half pound, get half pound free like their sign advertises. Buy any amount of cream cheese and get equal amount free. I was told they only do that for their ¼ pounds. Respectfully I told her that’s not what their sign said and she kept arguing with me. I said ma’am please turn around and look up and read the sign yourself. She refused to look at it and said oh sign must be wrong, we’ll have to change it. WHAT??? I was done with talking to a wall so paid for what I had and walked out. In the parking lot, a gentleman who was on line behind me came over and said«You’re right. They’re wrong and should’ve given you the correct order like you asked. But don’t bother gong back in and arguing with them. They don’t get it and it’s not worth it.» Guys — your bagels are not THAT good to deal with the crap I had to deal with. I happened to be at my favorite bakery next door to you and went in your store by default. Never again. Bagels weren’t warm or anything spectacular.

My go to place for bagels! We have tried other places, but this is the best local spot for bagels. Sometimes the line in out the door, it just goes to show that these bagels are worth the wait. The prices are reasonable. They make the bagels in the back of the store.

Excellent bagels and cream cheese but I went in there 15 minutes prior to closing and it looked completely shut down. There were no bagels in the shelves and all of the cream cheese was covered up. She called from the back the 4 types of bagels that she had. When I asked for a specific one she said hold on, then walked around to the tables reached into a bag and pulled out the type of bagel I wanted. So she packed a bag of the good bagels for herself??? What about your customers? Shouldn’t you be open until 3pm then shut down? The other girl just sat in the corner behind the counter talking to someone on the other side of the counter as if she was not interested in working anymore. As we walked out, still prior to closing time of 3pm there were several people walking in which I would assume would have the same experience as I would. Love the bagels and anytime I come into town I stop here but not keen on the service. The girl that helped us kept mumbling and I couldn’t understand anything. I had to repeat my order several times as she just could not seem to get it right.

From the beginning of bagel eating time, this has been my local bagel spot. Naturally, I’d walk or ride my bike to get bagels when I felt adventurous, on top of that, every Sunday my grandmother used to come to my soccer games, never forgetting to stop off and get me my favorite bagels(which varied from time to time) These are still some of my favorite bagels, they aren’t super doughy like you get a lot of places and they are always fresh in the morning. Boiled and baked bringin it old school! Egg bagel sounds great right now actually, but what I really love specifically from them, is their twist. It’s the best twist around, every other places twist is just a bunch of bread. Really have some good bagels. The thing with this place is they aren’t inventive or creative, they are straight forward. Kosher too, so you won’t get a bacon or sausage addition to your egg and cheese. This was always their biggest flaw to me until recent years. For years they have been plucking young girls for employees and managing them is the rude, miserable, tyrant that’s been in charge for as long as I can remember. I gave a 20 once for two bagels and got change back as if I got a five, I didn’t make it out of the door when I realized and turned back– The poor girl was new and didn’t realize and was so nervous, it was alright, mistakes happen, but she had that woman breathing down her neck, arguing with me to basically leave with out my money because the place had a few people in it that morning. I almost did just to spare the poor girl the grief, but this lady wasn’t about to rob me and be rude about it too. I got my money back and I’ve been going there a lot less. Problem is, I grew up with these bagels and they are in my NY blood. I get egg sandwiches elsewhere more often and don’t have to deal with the long lines so much, but every once in a while I meander in for my buttered twists and the like. This place is still good, just not as great as it once was, and there are few choices compared to so many other… Every other spot on the island and nearby. I’d give them 5 stars if they weren’t jerks and had more to choose from like other places.

Best.Bagels.Ever. Probably the only place I don’t mind waiting in line and this morning the line was out the door and down the sidewalk.(Don’t worry, it moves fast) I have been going to this bagel place for over 20 years.

These are the best bagels in Suffolk County. It’s a no frills«hole in the wall», with great bagels. If you see a line, it’s definitely worth the wait. After decades in business, they are doing it right.

Service was really slow, they had an elderly lady behind the counter that asked me to repeat my order several times. This place needs to step its management
