Zoller was awesome. Zoller is a facility that people can use to make & bottle wine who don’t have their own winery or equipment, & then the wine is sold out of their tasting room. Because so many different winemakers work out of the facility, your options for tasting are just about endless. The man who was there pouring for us spent nearly an hour telling us about the different wines & makers, letting us taste just about anything we wanted, & making recommendations based on what we liked. We picked up a few bottles of Twin Cayotes & a few of Gr8Ass. Definitely worth a stop.

When our group walked in and saw the Signe the winemaker running some trials on a Port wine. It was so fun to chat with her about wine making and also the winemaker from Twin Coyotes. Zoller crushes wine for several winemakers, you could bring a barrel of your stuff there and process it, so there is much to choose from on the tasting list. I picked up a bottle of Vermentino from twin coyotes which won a best in class award this year at San Fran’s wine chronicle competition and a bottle of Zoller’s Primitivo. The Vermentino was consumed primarily by my sister so I’m going to have to go buy another one to hoard and the primitivo was the best one I’ve had to date. Just really enjoyed it.
