Was here today with my wife. The grounds were amazing. Chris helped us out. She was great. Lots of knowledge. Wines were good too. Really good experience all around.

While the grounds and most of their wines were good I had a few complaints. At first the woman doing our tasting was horrid, nice enough but literally poured a sample, said some generic statement that was already on the sheet and walked away. Where is the passion for your wine?! She either got off work or transferred us; either way the next lady was very good. My complaints are these; we bought 4 bottles and they still charged us tasting fees. That is fucking bogus; pardon my french. I also wasn’t a fan of the pressure they put on you to join their wine club. I mean, they really lay it on thick, like used car salesmen.

***UPDATED to 3 stars because the owner reached out and apologized. I appreciate an owner who cares about their customers. There is never a need for snooty, rude, dismissive behavior– I don’t care how beautiful your grounds are. We arrived just before closing apparently, wandered around the grounds for a few minutes and then went in to taste. When asked to taste we were flat out and rather rudely told«No, we’re not doing any more tastings today,» and then they turned their backs to us.(Other people were tasting.) Here’s what should have been said«I’m sorry ma’am but we just stopped doing tastings. Are you interested in purchasing a glass of wine while you look at the gardens?» or «We are just closing up, but you’re welcome to take a look around and come back soon.» Anything but what actually happened. It’s called hospitality. Grounds and sculptures are beautiful though! Bathroom was clean, too.

Excellent winery. The gardens and sculptures were beautiful. The wines were also very good. They had live music on Sunday afternoon that was fantastic. I’m not sure if it’s a regular thing but if so what a way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Sitting in a beautiful Haden listening to great music and sipping great wine.

Beautiful tasting room, gorgeous grounds, fascinating sculptures, but forgettable wine. Sculpterra is an experience in Paso Robles, but the wine is the weakest link in the experience. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon on our way back from the coast and were immediately impressed by the ironwork sculptures dotted throughout the gardens surrounding the tasting room. Unfortunately, that’s where it ended. The wines we sampled were flat, with little to distinguish them. For the price tag, I feel I could have found better offerings elsewhere. But, wine tasting is subjective, so I won’t try to hold it against them. I will; however, note that the tasting staff was aloof and not the friendly, conversational type staff common throughout the Paso tasting rooms. I’d encourage people to stop by for a picnic and enjoy the grounds, but the wines here aren’t worth the stop in my opinion. I hope that the wine improves with age as the head winemaker gains more experience(the head winemaker is the owner’s son — as the staff told us, the father built the winery to basically give his son a place to be lead winemaker — not exactly a recipe for producing great wines right out of the gate).

This has to be the most beautiful winery in the Central Coast. Huge sculptures dotting their perfectly-landscaped and trimmed gardens surrounding the magnificent tasting room, and all kinds of events there. Beautiful artwork, great wines, wonderful hosts and service, frequent live music. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon there listening to a few great singer/musicians in the gardens, sipping the best wine and take a sandwich and snacks to enjoy. Get there early to find a good seat in the shade.

Me and my BF went there for wine tasting earlier and had such a pleasant experience. Excellent wine and service, especially from Kyle. He is the manager there and very knowledgeable. He gave us some really excellent recommendation for wineries and restaurants in paso Robles. He made our trip to paso Robles really perfect. Thank you Kyle for making our trip really nice and excellent recommendation for bistro Laurent and château margene!

I was super skeptical of this place before coming. Everyone was raving about it, and I just felt like… it’s probably going to be some hokey tourist dump with terrible wine. I’ve never been so glad to be wrong. The sculptures are legit. They are stunning and mesmerizing. The games in the garden were fun and the whole place is beautiful and relaxed fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. The wines were fantastic. The pistachios… oh my god. We ate buckets of them while tasting, then bought a few bags to take home. They are just… they are just SOGOOD.(Eloquent!) The guy who did our tasting was kind, generous with his knowledge, and a genuine pleasure to chat with. Cannot wait to go back!

This is hands down my favorite winery. They have some great wine, especially the Primotivo and the viognier. The artwork is amazing in and of itself. This is a great winery for everyone! Do yourself a favor and come with a packed lunch so you can enjoy the art and the wine. You will thank me… and you are welcome.

First stop of our Paso Robles trip and one of the best Wineries I’ve been too. Employees are very friendly and knowledgeable, prices were reasonable and the property is decorated with beautiful looking sculptures. Highly recommend checking in your hotel first. We stayed at La Quinta and there were free Tasting Coupons available for two. It provide 8 tastings each. What a great value.

Sculpterra is awesome. There is plenty to do here. There are sculptures and beautiful grounds to walk around. Including a mammoth. We played foosball and messed with the human sized wind chimes. Service was great and Aunt Tracy was fun to talk to. The wines are good as well.

Wineries are about more than wine; if not, we’d all buy our bottles in box stores. But we don’t. We carve out time during weekend holidays and midweek vacations to stop, to walk, to sip, to savor, to snap pictures and post selfies of ourselves in various states of inebriation. We want to relive just a little bit of our childhood, that part where the«wonder» happened. Maybe it was a first glimpse of snow-capped mountains in June sunshine, or fog rolling into the Bay from the Golden Gate Bridge. Maybe it was getting kettle corn at the state fair, or tasting your first artichoke, or trying that first really great cup of perfectly pulled espresso. That’s what Sculptura, at its best, can offer. The wonder — of the wine, and of the winery. The wine part is a matter of taste, and perhaps of expectations. There is a lot of wine here to choose from, and the $ 5 tasting fees make sampling the menu easy to do. We found good things to enjoy, and we liked the ability of the pourer to showcase the estate’s potential for various types and styles of wine. Our heart was with the Heroé Primitivo($ 25), a hearty Southern Italian red with ample fruit and alcohol(%15, 2012 vintage), all dark berry, and sweet tobacco smoke dusted in vanilla bean and husks of cocoa: a wine dedicated to the trabajaderos of the fields, and rightly so. Drink it in a mason jar to truly savor the subtly. The roasted and salted pistachios, grown on the estate and offered as part of the tasting, are also ideal for sipping the bright whites and dark, brooding reds. And, before or after the tasting, you will want to wander. Inside, but especially out. Outside, the wonder escalates as you stare at the sculptures surrounding you. Fish out of water. Elephants out of the jungle. Dragonflies searching for a lily pad, cats mewing at the moon, dogs leaning out of car windows rushing to nowhere. Maybe there will be live music on the patio. Maybe you’ll share a bottle of estate Cabernet with a newfound friend. It will be hot, Paso eastside hot, if it’s mid-September and the picking is reaching its end. Or it may rage and storm and be awash in flowers and fresh green, if it’s late winter or early spring. But the cats will be there, the fish and dragonflies, too. And the Frankel family legacy will grow, expand, and mature, one bottle and barrel at a time. Hard to find fault with that, and another reason to pushpin Paso Robles wine country firmly on your Californian wine-tasting map.

Pistachios grown on premises. Nice wines, beautiful art, low key and friendly atmosphere, I can’t wait to come here with a big group off friends.

Favorite north county winery! Beautiful grounds with amazing sculptures. The wine is great, and they pair it with pistachios they grow right there. I recommend this to any wine lover, art lover, or just anyone looking to enjoy a beautiful day outside. Pablo is the best… if you visit Sculpterra I recommend that you get him to pour your wine!

#SLO First time here and it was simply great. Tracy at the bar was great and the wines were all interesting, my favorite was the Port(surprise, surprise) and we got souvenir corks to take home, I came with a group of 10 friends and we all had a great time at the main room and then sitting outside. Wonderful day and the whole thing was only $ 5!!! Can’t beat that! Then we went to In-N-Out, showing how our decision making capabilities were blurred by the alcohol, which lets you know the 7 or 8 tastings you get are more than enough.

Big name winery, ostentatious tasting room. You really need to go, just to see this conglomeration of architecture, art and curious gardens. Some of the wine was surprisingly good. I took a particular liking to the 2013 Hero Viognier they were pouring… it was light and easy to drink for a mostly non-drinker like me. And honestly not sugary sweet. The Rose Paso Pink was fine for me as well. The best of all, their dessert wine, the Primitivo port. Let’s not forget the dish of lightly roasted pistachios that you can demolish while doing your $ 5 tasting. This is one winery I would consider bringing the kids. The grounds are spacious, plenty of room to run, and the larger than life sculptures and statues make it a Wonderland for the little ones. There are some huge chimes that will toll for you if you dare to touch them. Safe entertainment for the young, and plenty of outdoor seating if you simply want to mellow out and sip. And they have a great gift shop.

We went here over Valentine’s Day/President’s Weekend. The sculptures in the garden and the art work in the building are stellar. Wine tasting was quite pleasant I purchased a couple of bottles of wine. Highly recommend stopping here if like wine and amazing art. Lots of great places to sit outside in the sun as well.

Nice garden and beautiful sculptures! Enjoy a nice walk through their gardens, and have a picnic/lunch in their backyard. There are plenty of tables and chairs. Tasting room is big, busy, and staff was friendly. $ 5 tasting with complimentary sides of pistachios that they grow there :) Brought home Primitivo 12 bottles for myself and the bride to be and a bag of pistachios.
