This one is tough. The lower rating is due to the price. We paid $ 120/night. Had it been lower($ 80) I might feel differently. I posted photos of the lack of maintenance and cleaning. Ceilings cracked, ancient climate control, patched walls and such. It’s pretty apparent that the staff is coached up on money saving rather than a customers stay and comfort. When we arrived our room seemed a little«cool», but we like to sleep cool so we didn’t mind. In the morning when we stepped out of our room to eat breakfast, I noticed the heat was turned off so I turned it on. While we ate, housekeeping came, quickly went over the room(basically made the bed) and shut the heat off. I’ve mentioned lack of maintenance, cracked ceilings, old electrical components and not so clean. It seems like a struggling business trying to keep up. Staff friendliness is a real positive, however there are several better options for the money.

Unfortunately our experience here was a strong contrast to the last visit that we had. Pros: Free Breakfast offered with stay, Reasonable prices for rooms purposed, bathrooms clean and well stocked Cons: At 8am *checkout is at 12pm* there was a brief knock and the cleaner opened the door and abruptly woke us up when the door slammed into the metal security clasp; this happened again at 9:14am despite us letting them know that we were still there, and once again at 9:37(in hind sight part of this could of been avoided by putting the DND outside the door); having said that we both felt rushed and haven’t had that experience anywhere else before. The breakfast offered was absolutely terrible, we got there at 6am as they were putting the ‘buffet’ style breakfast out and the eggs were rubbery, bacon like chunks of razor thin salt, and the sausage tasted microwaved it was soft and chewy with no snap, all the flavor had gone. The place is really showing it’s age, and for such a large establishment I am surprised that the building maintenance isn’t being handled well. Our elevator at entrance C was of course out of order, and the stairs had a dirt trail to the worn carpet. The room we stayed in actually had the floor trim pulling away from the wall, which needless to say didn’t inspire confidence in cleanliness.

A strong recommendation for the lunch buffet. Very consistently good on my business trips to the TriCities. I have been frequenting it regularly for over 20 years. Very good rib roast carved like you want it, Good salad bar, sides, gravy, and an outstanding dessert offering. If you are into those sort of things. You’ll probably see me there.

Dirty and in disrepair – that’s the description of my room. The best part of the room was the newish vanity and tiled bathroom. Bed was comfortable and clean. But carpet, upholstery, woodwork and doors had stains and grime. There was only one wall that didn’t have peeling wallpaper. Staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good. Recommend you preview room before accepting room key in hopes that all rooms were not this bad.

Stayed there for 3 nights. Requested room to be cleaned, and new towels and trash to be taken away. The hotel receptionist said sure. They never came. They never restocked our room, emptied trash or gave us new towels. The hotel is run down, and dirty. There was used floss by the bed in the room when we arrived. Gross! The bed had stains on it and was very uncomfortable to sleep on due to a huge indent in the middle of the bed! The free breakfast was disgusting. Eggs were not real, runny, tasted like chicken buttholes. The hotel was basically a polished turd. And who wants to stay in a turd. I would never recommend this place, or any red lion in fact. They should just shut down their doors.

Old hotel so I know hotel will not be perfect. But I do expect good customer service, which we did not receive. 1st phone call to front desk was to ask for soap, shampoo etc. not one thing in the room.(6:30pm) Returned about 8ish. Nothing in room. I couldn’t even wash my hands still no soap. 2nd phone call a little irritated now. Told them still no soaps, they said they would get ahold of house keeping. 8:30 went down to get a quick bite at bar came back to be able to go to pool before it closed and there was a bag of 8 shampoos 3 conditioners and 3 body shower gels. NOSOAP. What the hell. Like I’m only staying one night. What a wasted of products. They showed me. Guess I will be donating to someone who needs it. 3rd call. I call and pretty much yelled and asked how do I get soap does the housekeeping think it’s funny to wasted the hotels money. I just want to wash my hands.(Which at that point I just used body wash) they pretty much said they will call housekeeping and have a talk with them. Then all I heard was a click in my ear. Went to the hot tub came back at 10:15 and still no soap. So my husband went to the front desk and got me a bar of soap. Point of this Unilocal to say would of had a decent stay but due to the customer service I give it 0 stars. Stayed sat 8÷15÷2015

We called the Red Lion to reserve a room for Boat Race Weekend. The person we spoke with advised us that our ONE night stay for Saturday with two boat race tickets would be $ 140 total. We agreed to that price and provided our card number. I made sure to ask him if it was ok that we were only staying one night, he replied that it was completely ok. I asked for an email confirmation and he assured me I would recieve one. We never got a confirmation email, waited a couple days and called back to again ask for a confirmation email. This time a different gentleman told us he would again send a confirmation. We did not recieve it. We waited 5 days this time and called the Thursday before the weekend event. I spoke with JOANNE who assured me I did have a reservation. I wanted to verify price with her again since the previous two gentlemen failed to provide me with accurate information. Joanne confirmed we had the room. I let her know that we would be arriving that Saturday and leaving the following morning. She assured me that was fine and I would be set to go. I asked her to notate my reservation saying that she assured me of all this information. We arrived Saturday around 1pm to check in. We checked in and went straight to lunch, heading back to the hotel later than night for the event. We spent about 10 hours total in the room(which was disgusting to say the least) and departed out of town at 9 am the next morning. I noticed a $ 309 charge on my card and immediately called the Red Lion and asked why this charge was applied. JOANNE assured me it was Red Lions mistake and that she would have the manager call me first thing in the morning. Now today(7⁄28) the manager of course DIDNOT call us, we had to make ANOTHER call to the hotel and asked to speak with him. He was extremely rude and unproffessional and proceeded to tell me that we were charged for both friday and saturday $ 130 each. We explained that HIS employees advised us differently. He was aboslutely no help and told us he could give us $ 30 back. That does not suffice. I am now going to be submitting to the Better Business Bureau as I do not want this happening to any future consumers. Red Lion owes us almost $ 150 and NOONE at the hotel is able to give me a contact number for upper management to take care of this. I would avoid this manager(his name is Mark) at all costs as he has no interest in providing customer service or taking ownership of his employee’s mistakes.

Older hotel but clean and well cared for. Friendly staff and great pool. It’s nice to have a balcony. Definitely don’t see many hotels with them anymore. If you are looking for a comfy bed this is a good place even though it is older.

Would like to give this more stars due to good staff, but can’t bring myself to do it. Terrible room, terrible internet, terrible hotel. Go to Best Western.

Don’t forget to check all the blankets and pillows. You shouldn’t be surprised to find a few yellow and brown stains everywhere. I hate this hotel. It’s absolutely disgusting. I come here for work and I can never sleep. I’ve experienced«carpet beetles», stains, hair… all in my bed. The best Western just across the street is better. Go there.

Pretty consistent in being average. This time I didn’t get my wake up call. However, I did not freeze to death like last time.

We went for their Christmas Buffet A little Mr Jackyl and Dr Hyde… Lets start with the good… The food — rated 5 stars A wonderful selection to start — lots of seafood, shellfish and small sides. All the stuff my wife loves! Started great! The buffet WOW OK so i am a meat and potato guy… This wowed me and my wife was pretty happy as well Roast beef — the carver had a selection of beef from what appeared to be medium to well done — all VERY tender — loved it, and a great carver Ham — beautifully cooked Turkey, Salmon, Pork Loin and Prime Rib, Great mashed potatoes and sausage stuffing… Nice sides Desert A selection of sweet deserts, pecan and pumpkin pie… Only area I felt could have been better — more pies! Both of us loved it! Great kitchen and chef to have this put together So no the bad — 3 stars Trying to make a reservation took three different phone calls Get there, the hosts/seaters argued over where to seat us… VERY disorganized Service — OK… glad it was a buffet though Paying — FAIL — didn’t get a check, back to the seaters… Back to a different pay station in the middle of the buffet that would normally be a coffee shop — VERYDISORGANIZED. Probably had people walking out without paying Overall a beautiful lunch, slightly marred by disorganization at the front of the house My wife loved the hotel lobby — the restaurant is in the Red Lion

This review is strictly for the Red Lion’s Season’s restaurant Christmas buffett. Unilocal doesn’t have Season’s business page but it’s located in the back of the hotel lobby section. It’s different from Bin 20. So, hubby and I made last minute reservations and had no idea what this restaurant was about. We were in for a pleasant surprise with the food selection and quality. Their offerings: Apps– Cold shrimp, mussels and clams. Pesto shrimp and scallops. Cheese plate and crackers. Charcuterie plate. Fresh fruit and salad selection. Pasta and potato salad. THEBESTPOACHEDSALMON I’VEEVEREATENINMYLIFE. Main course– Fresh-cooked on the spot shrimp scampi. You could smell the garlic. Mmmm… Prime rib, ham, crab stuffed salmon, pork loin with apples, turkey drenched in gravy, cheese blintzes with berry sauce, sausage dressing and mashed potatoes and gravy. Desserts– Chocolate fudge cake, orange crème cake, dulce de leche(I think) cheesecake, pumpkin pie, mousses, mini-cupcakes, chocolate cream pie, and pecan pie. All the food was fresh and seasoned well. My favorite was the poached salmon. Moist, tender and so naturally salmon sweet. My least favorite was the prime rib since it was overcooked but it still tasted good. A couple of suggestions for their dessert selection. They need to be served in smaller portions so people can taste and sample most of the options. It’s such a waste to slice up such large pieces of cakes and pies where people take only a few bites and move on to another selection. Secondly, all the desserts were achingly sweet and almost inedible after two bites. Please offer some desserts where it’s more enjoyable for an adult’s palate. Lastly, the service was excellent. The waiter and busboy catered to all our needs. We left totally stuffed and satisfied minus the desserts but that’s ok, we BARELY made room for them.

The red lion provided me good service, they have a large outdoor pool and Jacuzzi that’s open until 10pm which is nice during the summer season and the gym is decent. The rooms are pretty standard, nothing too special. The location is great right off the freeway! Especially for people visiting and not knowing the area. The one thing that sucks is they do NOT have complementary breakfast, that would be convenient especially with individuals traveling with children and in larger groups as it would save money. You do have to pay a fee for breakfast per person, the breakfasts are pretty small as well. The food is okay though.

Red Lion is a good hotel. Nothing exceptional but overall I would stay again. Had all the amenities you’d require from a large hotel including the ability to have a large conference for a group. Also it’s proximity to the airport is excellent. You would have no need for a rental car u less you had business off site.

Stayed at this Red Lion and the Kennewick Red Lion this past weekend. Overall I liked the Pasco Red Lion better. Nicer pool, has a hot tub, and the rooms are large and have decks or patios. The overall quality of the hotels is otherwise the same. Slightly run down but the beds were comfy and clean, nice flat screen tvs, and great amenities(microwave, fridge, coffee maker, etc). The Pasco RL isn’t as close to restaurants as the Kennewick RL but does have two onsite restaurants and a bar. Plus I got the room for dirt cheap on Priceline so I was happy.

Although the hotel is a bit outdated the amenities and service is excellent; it is always a great price and they are pet friendly. We always stay in the Presidential Suite. The room is huge as well as the balcony. This hotel knows how to throw a party with live music and multiple bars.

Decent hotel with comfy beds. Very clean and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Room is showing some wear and tear, mostly wallpaper starting to peel and crack. The room was tidy and clean though. Bathroom area is nice but a little cramped. Has and outdoor pool and a serviceable fitness room. Wing 3 far rooms are along the highway, so there is some noise — request a different area if you need quiet.

This hotel has a lot going for it. But there is a lot to work on. First, the good stuff. The staff is very helpful, and very upbeat. Very much made to feel welcome. From the front desk to the door watcher at the Grizzly Bar to the bartenders themselves, these folks were all pleasant and smiling and just working hard to do a good job. Also, overall the rooms are fairly nice. Not just some closet where there happens to be a bed and a bathroom. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the shower heads are actually designed with someone taller than 5’9″ in mind. Now, what needs fixing. First, I don’t know why they bother to offer room service if they cut it off at 9 pm, even on weekends. Also, Bin 20 was closed by 9 pm on a Friday as well. So if you want anything after nine and you don’t want to leave the premises, you have to go into the VERY loud Grizzly Bar and order from the bartender. The other thing that really needs work is the wear and tear here. The stairs all had worn patches in the carpet. The moldings in the room had damage marks. And speaking of molding, that is what the grout in the bath tub was doing. For the rates this hotel charges, the facility should be maintained better. Overall, I will probably come back again. I just hope they fine tune some before I return.

Had the pleasure(insert sarcasm here) of seeing Pasco due to the incompetence of Allegiant Air on a recent trip. Of course, I was stuck paying the extra night of hotel in Pasco. We stayed here because it was close to the airport and it had a free shuttle. Pros: — free shuttle, free wi-fi — good sized rooms, clean Cons: — no breakfast and on-site restaurant closes at 9pm, so very limited food options if you come in on a late flight — very spread out design so you may need to walk a lot to get to your room — nothing within walking distance other than a small strip mall area with fast food Basic room and it serves its purpose if you’re stuck in Pasco and want to be close to the airport.
