Highly recommend it. Meats fresh and tasty. If low on funds the tacos are cheap and fill you up nicely.

No brick and mortar so if you are looking for them for lunch you end up in the middle of an intersection of a apartment buildings and no food it sucked. If you are a food truck sell your self as such. I wasted lot’s of time looking for you and finding nothing. YOUSUCK!!!

Delicious food! You have to get the Maui torts muy delicioso. I’ve only eaten here once but it made a lasting impression. I don’t know how to find them maybe by their website or Twitter. But it’s definitely worth tracking them down

Tried out this food truck while attending a demo ride at Bert’s a few weekends ago. We came back hungry and ready to eat. We were greeted by a friendly(I believe he was Zeke) and he was all smiles and explained to us what was popular and even made small talk about his adventures on trying to learn new languages as we waited for our food. Everyone on the truck was so nice, they even walked all the way to our table to give us our food! :) Their service was impeccable! I ordered their Baja Salad which comes with steak pieces on a bed of fresh mixed greens and drizzled with their special tomatillo dressing, it also comes with two pieces of garlic bread. It was delicious! The dressing with the steak pieces(tender and yummilicious) were perfect together! The flavors were great and we all left full and satisfied. If I see them again, I’ll definitely try out their other dishes. :)

Tortas?1 Yum yum. Had the opportunity to try this food truck when they were at the Temple City Food Truck Festival. Lots of different tortas on the menu I had a difficult time choosing what the order. The owner is super friendly and told us the maui torta is their most popular torta. Well then, I ordered a maui torta. This torta consists of grilled steak in a sesame seed and ginger marinate with grilled pineapple, carrots, cabbage, cilantro and Sriracha. I now know why it’s their more popular torta. That thing was delish. Full of flavor with well cooked meat. Each torta comes with a side so I got the pesto pasta salad. Your average pesto salad but the torta definitely makes for an average side.

Love the tortas! I’m hooked on these! Always order my tortas with a side of the pasta and the red cabbage salad! You can’t go wrong with any torta… I recommend the backyard, cuban or the Barcelona!

I have had food from Tortas 2 Die 4 on several occasions but am finally taking the time to post a review. Zeke and his staff are wonderful and friendly! They are always willing to make a suggestion(always the Maui Torta, though). The way I think, if you believe in your food enough you will change your recommendations based on your tastes for that day. BarcelonaTorta — I expected much more flavor due to the Chorizo. Maui Torta — Delicious and has a nice bite from the Siracha. Korean Steak Wrap — My new favorite! The Mediteranian Salad — The tomatoes and cucumber are marinated in the balsamic vinnagrette making them mushy and tart. The Cactus Salad — the tomatoes are marinated in the vinnagrette with the cactus making them mushy and tart. Baby Green Salad — «Creamy Tomatillo Dressing?» this tastes like Ranch Dressing. Can I get a discount if I do not get the side salad?

LOVE Tortas2Die4! Not only is the food juicy and delicious but I love the customer service. The staff on the truck are friendly and will really make you feel like a regular! As far as the food goes my favorite hands down is the Baja Torta. I’m a sucker for avocado so it’s my go-to. I’m obsessed with the tomatillo dressing that they make, its light, creamy, and fresh. I always order the baby leaf since they include the dressing in there. The meat is tender, juicy, and well marinated and the bread is always perfect since it’s baked fresh daily. I also love that every time I eat one of their sandwiches I don’t feel guilty, they really know how to combine healthy food and taste :)

Awesome food truck! right up there in terms of quality, flavor and creativity with my other favorites. i had the maui torta w/sesame ginger marinated grilled steak baby greens tomato grilled pineapple julienne carrots shredded cabbage cilantro & sriracha w/mango jicama tequila vinaigrette salad, plus a side of fruit and a real home-made lemonade, all for $ 12! They even had plastic wrap and bags to go which many places do not have. also, the dudes were cool and the separate pick up window away from the order window was appreciated, and they were fast! bottom line… i could reliably meet my special lady friend here for lunch and she’d be impressed, and she had very high standards(in food at least LOL!) ps. and i was even starting with a diminished appetite since this older pervert guy i work with insisted on showing us his elmo chones today!

Ohh emmm geee! I kick myself in the butt for not coming here any sooner. I mean, I live down the street from the truck for crying out loud! Tried the Maui and the Valley Girl tortas. I liked the sweet/savory/spicy mix from the Maui and the mushroom meaty-ness from the Valley Girl. Jicama mango salad was very refreshing and the pesto pasta salad was light. The agua fresca of the day was watermelon with lime. Talk bout thirst quencher! I just found my new summer spot…

I saw this truck parked inside the Renaissance Pleasure Faire last weekend. I have been to the faire many times so I have tried all of their food so I decided to give Tortas 2 Die 4 a try. I asked what they would suggest and I was told they had an off menu item for the faire called appropriately enough the«Special Renaissance Torta» which had as it’s main ingredients, Chicken, Steak, and Portabella Mushrooms. That sounded good so I went with that. My order was ready in about 5 minutes, I found a shady spot to sit and started to eat. Both the chicken and steak were tender and jucy, the bread was crunchy on the outside and most importantly didn’t become soggy or fall apart. It was quite filling and held me for the rest of the day. I enjoyed this truck and am looking forward to trying more of what they have to offer!

I have driven by this food truck many many times before I finally decided to try it out after reading some pretty promising reviews. I got the Maui torta like most people have suggested with the jicama salad. The jicama salad i thought was ok. not oh so delicious like some people hype it up to be. The torta was ok as well. I have had better ones(ahem cooks torta xD). Sadly it didnt WOW me like I wanted it to. Maybe I just need to try some other ones that their known for. until next time…

Finally got to go to this truck after trying to get there for the last 3 months… I found them at the Pasadena Firemen’s Credit Union… Walk up and guy says ‘first time?’ After I give him a confirmation, he starts to sell me on the Maui as the most popular torta, but I cut him short and say ‘give me an Aztec torta with the mango/jicama salad’…less than 5 minutes and it is ready… The Aztec torta is a chicken breast with Mole sauce and red onions in the bolillo… I love mole and usually will judge a Mexican joint by the mole… now, I know this is a ‘fusion’ truck but this one is pretty much one of their non-fusion selections. The mole has good flavor to it considering it is a skinless, boneless chicken breast… if you like mole, you know what I mean. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the mango/jicama salad… the best part was when some of the mole sauce dripped into the salad… mmmmm…I would say that I thoroughly enjoyed the food and by far, they have been the friendliest of all the trucks I have visited. I will definitely be back for a different taste… they also have wraps and tacos but I didn’t partake… I was a bit full…

Zeke and Tortas2Die4 is one food truck experience you can’t pass up. My Wife let me sample one of her Tortas and I was instantly hooked. The bread is soft and fresh, the meat is lean and top quality, and the flavors are bold and refreshing. 9⁄10 times I grab the Maui or the Baja(both steak proteins) but on occasion the American(lean turkey w/pesto + cranberry sauce) or awesomely cheesy Belgium(Brie and almonds with orange marmalade!) are my optional go-to choices. The Jicama salad w/mango(+ tequila vinaigrette) is my favorite side, but the Aloha Salad(greens w/julienne papaya + is a close #2. Cannot miss the aguas frescas — how can one resist the magical combinations of: watermelon + mint + lime, blueberry + papaya or my fav. pineapple + celery(incredibly refreshing with a slight kick of sweet). Becoming a fanatic: Yes, I’ll admit to subscribing to their Facebook page to know where the Truck always is, we eat here on average 2−3x a month.(easy justification right?) Conclusion: Tortas2Die4 is a hidden gem with attitude. Kudos to Zeke and his staff for producing such high quality, great tasting food at a reasonable price. Check’em out, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed ;)

I’ve been driving up and down Hill for the past two weeks seeing a red food truck parked at the corner of Hill and Walnut. Initially I was skeptical after I read the name«Tortas 2 Die 4.» I’m not too big of a fan of short hand writing. However, seeing how frequently this truck is parked in the same area, always with customers, I thought it necessary to at least give this place a chance. I asked the owner for recommendations as to what to order. Every sandwich and wrap comes with a side salad. According to him, the Maui Torta was the most popular, and he strongly recommended that I try the Jicama and Mango salad. I am not a torta aficionado, nor do I typically like fusion cuisine. However, this truck is definitely an exception! The freshness and quality of the food is outstanding, and the flavors are pronounced and not overpowering. The torta bread is fresh baked everyday. It is crunchy on the outside, but not so hard that it hurts the upper palette of your mouth, and the inside is soft. The bread has also slight amounts of herb and possibly onion or garlic on the outside. My only complaint is that if you were to eat the bread alone, it would be dry, however, complimented with the sauce and flavor of the meat, it went very well together. The steak was tender, very flavorful. Personally, I like when my steak has a little tendon in it making it chewy, and this had it! However, if you are someone who likes spicy, you will probably be disappointed that the sriracha flavor is not really present. Out of all my bites of my sandwich, I only tasted sriracha in one bite. That being said, it is pretty balanced; you wouldn’t want sriracha to overpower the rest of the sandwich anyway. The salad was refreshing, very well seasoned, and perfect in this hot summer weather. The aguas frescas was the cherry on top of my meal. It was not watered down in the least bit, and drinking it made me feel like I was actually eating watermelon. Even after the ice melted and diluted the drink, it was still very good. This, too, is made fresh with evidence being tiny slivers of watermelon seed, and lime pulp. I didn’t really taste the mint though. The owners are EXTREMELY friendly, and, if you so choose to eat by the truck, will strike up conversations with you, and get to know you personally if there are no other customers to be waited on. The owners wished me a good day and to take care, which was very, very sweet. I am definitely coming back to this place. Did I mention that $ 8 gives you the filling sandwich and the side salad? And a 24oz. aguas frescas is $ 2. So for $ 10, you’ll be eating healthy and feel satisfied.

I’m usually not a fan of fusion food. Americanized ethnic food is usually a big no no. But, when it’s done well and the food is good, the food is good. Ya can’t deny it. I live right around the corner from this place and was surprised when this truck/trailer pitched itself on the corner of Walnut and Hill. You can’t really miss it! Bright red, people waiting for some good food. Tons of great combos and even some vegetarian options for my vegetarian friends. Yes. they even have wraps and salads. It’s hearty, and yet it feels healthy. Top it off with their aguas frescas and you’ve got yourself a lil yummy lunch
