New Nails

SNS nails were fast and easy! Love this type of nail, and all of the staff here always friendly! I suggest making an appointment, they will honor it!

This is an extremely dangerous nail salon! I never posted anything because I worked with one of the nail tech’s Mother but I got a Staph infection and it caused me tremendous pain. They used dirty instruments on me. I went to the Podiatrist but I couldn’t wear regular shoes for over 6 months. This place needs to shut down. I’m warning you so you don’t go through what I did. O stars

They have SNS. I searched high and low for a place in Maryland that has SNS nails. These artificial nails are much better than acrylic. And esp good if ur allergic (like I am). It doesn’t use liquid and it doesn’t use nail polish. The coloring is all in the powder. And this salon has several powder colors to pick from.
The tech discussed SNS in great detail — it was nice to know that he knew his product and the method for applying.
I will be back on a routine basis.

This place is awesome. I don’t live near here but found it coming back from the beach a few years ago. This is the only place I go to for pedicures and worth the drive. Tom and his staff are SO friendly and welcoming. The place is also very clean and reasonably priced. They are one of few nail salons open on Sunday’s except during the winter. I highly recommend anyone in the area to give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Took their time correcting a broken nail. Explained SNS process and how the salon I previously went to mislead me and applied acrylic with SNS on top. They seem to have a real knowledge of what they were doing. Nails came out really good.
The salon is very clean. Did not get a pedicure but the chairs looked newer and comfortable. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Tom and his staff are always so pleasant and a joy to spend time with. My nails are always top notch and I have never been disappointed. Also the nail salon is super clean and very professional.

TOM IS AWESOME! Have been looking around for over a year to find a place that was clean, friendly and can do a good job on my nails which are horrible from lots of manual work, chemicals, age, etc. Had «gel» nails done by a salon near me and it started peeling off within days. Our waitress at Mother’s Restaurant recommended Tom at New Nails for the SNS system. Sort of like acrylic but your nails are dipped into light powder with very little burnishing of the nails and tips can be used (unlike gel). It’s a little more expensive, but according to our waitress – it’s worth it especially if you’re hard on your hands/​nails. Tom is meticulous and did a super job – my nails look better than they have in years. And, the salon is clean, nicely decorated (serene as opposed to stark atmosphere) and I really felt appreciated as a customer.

I was on my way home from running some errands and really needed a manicure. I saw New Nails, which looked pretty much empty (they had just opened a few minutes before), had never been in, so I stopped in to give them a try. I was quickly greeted with a friendly «Welcome!», and was immediately taken back to a table. There were two girls working side by side, while who I assume is the owner was working with a customer up front. One young lady started on my manicure while the other worked on her own nails. I got the impression that both of them were relatively new to their trade. The one who did my nails was VERY slow, and not as skilled as most manicurists I’ve been to. The girl sitting next to her had to keep giving her tips about which tool to use and how to properly file my nails. I got a gel manicure, and she was a bit stingy with the polish, painting the layers very thin. Then she went back and filed my nails AFTER they were already painted. Before I left, the owner wanted to stop by to inspect my nails, giving even more of an impression that this girl was very new. Overall the manicure was OK but I’ve had better.
The facility was clean, with plenty of polishes to choose from. They had a good amount of pedicure chairs, although none were in use. The staff kept up a good conversation, as we discussed the TV show that was playing behind us. So I think with more practice, the girls here will get better. I’ll check back with them a little later in the future and see how they’re doing.
