I have shopped at Lane Bryant for years and years but I am starting to find myself at Torrid more and more and at LB less and less! LB’s sizes have gotten smaller and smaller and the very thin bra straps for plus sizes is ridiculous. On to the service… for the prices you pay at Lane Bryant you should get awesome service and you do not. No one helps in the dressing rooms where you need assistance the most and the staff is so busy working on the store when customers do ask for help they act put out. Take lessons from Torrid the staff is friendly and helpful and they are all over the store actually helping customers AND they have a full time attendant who helps you and checks on you in the dressing rooms also the fans in their dressing rooms are a plus.

i am here to talk about your sizing, quality, and consistency. very disappointed i have to say. i have been buying clothes at lane bryant since i was about 15 years old, loooong time. at first i would buy all kinds of stuff and then i simply grew out of the style you have to offer, but you were the only store i could buy my pants(or basics) from until your sizes started getting smaller and the lengths were getting longer(way longer). i am by all means an average, by no means a petite. if i gave in to buying petite, because i really needed pants, they would still be too long and would have to get them tailored. the jeans were just getting weird. too loose on the thighs and noticeably tighter from the calves to the ankles… harem pants anyone? the shirts, i remember where always too short. it’s like you dont compensate for the roundness that starts happening to women as the sizes get bigger. your sizing seems to only focus on width without room for roundness on everything, even your intimates, which brings me to the following. the only thing that was left for me at your store were intimates, which i really love(d) because i am by no means interested in wearing granny panties or bras. i LOVE sexy intimates! there was not a single time that i would leave without underwear. i would tell myself before going into the store, «NO underwear today,» wouldnt work. sadly, i think that there is going to be absolutely no reason for me to go into a lane bryant store from now on. my size has been consistent for a few years now but yours hasnt. not in size or quality. ive been a 18 – 24, depending on what article of clothing i was buying from you. years ago, for a while i was using your 18⁄20 in underwear and had to go up to 22⁄24 because your sizing went down(my body was the same size and the underwear i had in 18⁄20 still fit me perfectly). until my visit to your store last week, i was a true 22⁄24 but i had to buy 26⁄28. 26/28s!!! i am by no means 26⁄28! especially when comparing the underwear to the size of your clothes in sizes 26 – 28, which are considerably bigger. AND to make matters worse, the 26/28s dont even fit! they are pretty snug and/or too short and start rolling off. i bought about 15 hipsters in 2 different styles, cotton and silky ones. even the ones within the same exact style(some not the same color) were not consistent at all! because i noticed the sizes looked smaller i decided to buy a full brief to see how that fit/looked, like i said, im not interested in granny panties. i used to buy a few boyshorts because i like the idea of them but yours are pretty much a thong with a thick band wrapping around the stomach. they are not the same as pictured on your website. online, they look like they should… like really short shorts. the hem wraps around the thighs. quality is not like it used to be. i get holes very quickly, sometimes the first time i wear them. tsk tsk. bras: your cups have always run big. i am a c, your c is a d, and you hardly carry b’s. i, for one, am not interested in looking like i have really big breasts. the sizes are running a little small too and not consistent with the other bras, which doesnt make sense because all of your intimates are the same brand! i do have to say that i semi-like the newest strapless bra you have because the band is wider, which just makes sense for plus size women. thinner bands roll into our rolls and it is really uncomfortable. the wire always snaps in about a year but i do wonder if that just happens to all wired bras. customer service has always been great! theyve always been so helpful. i have always expressed my sentiments to your employees on these issues as theyve occurred and have always gotten nods in agreement, a lot of times before i even finish my statement they say, «i know, i know,» as if they hear this all the time. thank you for being one of the very, very few clothing stores that provides plus sizes but please, get it together. it’s already hard enough to find clothes in bigger sizes. bring quality back, and be(come) consistent.
