Pretty atmosphere and unique drink flavors. I really like the lychee coconut milktea. It was really hotside and I don’t know if the air conditioner was broken, or if they just didnt feel like turning it on, but I felt like it was actually cooler outside. I would have definitely stood inside a while longer had the a. c been on. I would really like to try the coffee flavors next time I visit.

Saw the Unilocal reviews and got excited to try the drinks! So ordered a small pistachio milk tea with boba. The lady taking my order seemed little annoyed to explain the 100 different menu items. Then when I finally got my small $ 4.8 drink, It barely tasted like pistachio. So I asked the barista if he could add more pistachio powder. He said he couldn’t since he would have to ‘shake’ it again. Oh well. It wasn’t as creamy as I have had before and I think it’s vegan? Even if it was vegan it wasn’t organic because their regular milk wasn’t organic. Nice wood furniture.

My new GOTO coffee shop even though it’s not around where I live. Ambiance is great. Walked in and was greeted by Andy! This dude is awesome! He explained how everything works and his energy is just great! He had me at COLDBREW! Everything is cold brew and love the twist that it’s all flavored and can be blended too! I tried the Taro and Dirty Horchata. AMAZING! Not too sweet at all and I don’t really like sweet drinks. I wish I got the other two employees names because he called me by name to make sure my drink was good. Great great service! They also have these cool take home cold brew bottles. Wish I lived close to this particular coffee shop, but will make it when I’m off for sure or weekends!!! Must go if you’re a coffee drinker!

I’ve been here numerous of time and finally decided to write a review right now. +1 star: matcha pistachio milk tea. It taste milky and a little creamy. It’s sweet and will leave a sweet aftertaste in your mouth. It almost taste like pistachio gelato ice cream but in liquid form. +1 star: coconut coffee. Yumm and interesting flavors. The coffee flavor is strong and coconut flavor is there too. It’s sweet, but not so much that’ll make you thirsty after. There’s also no bitter aftertaste because they say the coffee is brewed for 20 hours to get rid of the acidity in the coffee.(I personally like the bitter aftertaste from a good cup of coffee). +1 star: vanilla mint milk tea. Taste milky and a little creamy like the matcha pistachio but with the vanilla and mint flavors. –1 star: mint honeydew milk tea. The mint and honeydew flavors is all there. But, it also taste like the artificial honeydew powder(that most boba tea place uses to get the honeydew flavors). I think they put too much powder in my cup, that I can still taste the powder in my mouth when I drink it. –1 star: no public restroom, not even for customers

I was on my way to King Taco next door when I passed Home Brewed Bar’s chalkboard sign outside. It listed a dirty horchata and a toddy cold brew, which caught my attention and prompted me to search them up on Unilocal as I waited for my tacos. After a quick scan of the reviews, I hurried next door without a second thought! It’s a neat space and a tad hipster– which I’m not complaining about! I chatted a bit with the friendly barista and ended up ordering the classic milk tea and a matcha hazelnut milk tea(a combination from their custom drink menu!) The barista finished up the drinks and told me to taste them and let her know if it needed any adjusting– a gesture I welcome in any boba or café shop! I was in a rush, however, so I didn’t get a chance to sip on it in the shop, nor catch her name! The matcha hazelnut was delicious! I didn’t know if the combination would meld nicely, but it did! It resulted in something reminiscent of a cake batter taste! Sounds strange, but I loved it! The classic milk tea was a bit of a surprise because it tasted extremely florally– sort of like a jasmine green milk tea. I didn’t mind it, but it caught me a bit off guard. I can’t wait to visit again! The environment and friendly baristas are reason enough to stop by!

I love this place! Everyone who works there is super friendly and always greets you when you come in or leave. I always get their iced coconut coffee with almond milk and boba. For those of you who want to change up their everyday iced coffee fix, I definitely recommend this! I realllyyyyy like their boba. I’m the type who likes soft boba that’s not so chewy so, if you’re like me, you’ll like this place. I really like the ambience and feel of the shop. It’s a very hip place, totally Instagram-worthy haha. It’s also a great place to bring your laptop to work/study or have a catch up date with your friends.

THANKSFORRUININGMYBIRTHDAY, HOMEBREW. Had a wonderful day and wanted to end the evening on a positive note since this WAS the place with the best earl grey milk my lips have ever touched. What a huge disappointment. We ordered 5 drinks and EVERYSINGLE one of their drinks were watered down. We hyped this place up to our friends and the look of disappointment on everyone’s faces was depressing. They paid 6 dollars to park at the lot next door only to enjoy dirty water. I am not one to send food back, but when someone is paying more than $ 4.50 for a drink and it tastes like dirty water, I think it merits some voicing of one’s opinion. You won’t be seeing me home again.

Pros: –Variety of non dairy milks including soy, rice, almond, and hemp. –Unique flavors and blends. Today’s specials were Horchata Matcha Iced Tea and Matcha Pistachio, but you can tailor your drink any way you want. –Their flavors are in powder format, not syrups. –They carry vegan and gluten free cupcakes, brownies, and cookies from a local bakery called Whisk Gluten Free. –They are more than happy to adjust your drink if you’re unhappy with it. –Asian fusion drinks with boba and aloe available. Cons: Every time I have gotten an iced drink, it tasted watered down. I’ve tried the iced matcha and the iced coffee with their hemp milk. Even with some adjustments, I still had the same issues. Nonetheless, cute and hip boba spot. I will have to try their flavored drinks next time. Finding street parking may be difficult.

Love Love Love this place! Came in for a quick caffeine fix and was greeted with«Welcome Home!» by a super nice and friendly staff member. The menu is simple but with many options to customize the exact drink you want. The friendly staff member(wish I remembered his name) was very patient with us and explained the menu to us and made flavoring recommendations based on what kind of drink we wanted(tea/coffee or hot/cold). They also offer different milk alternatives(all non dairy based) and add-ins like boba, aloe vera, chia seeds.etc. They also have their signature drinks, less thinking involved for those indecisive consumers(me). I ended up ordering a large hot jasmine green tea with vanilla flavoring(you can ask for lightly sweeten if you don’t like your drinks too sweet, like me). My beau had a cold coffee with mexican spice flavoring and house milk. Both of our drinks were amazing!!! Loved it so much, we came back again the next day and this time I had the hot matcha tea with pistachio flavor and he had the cold matcha tea with vanilla mint flavor and house milk. Again, liquid refreshment craving satisfied! You’ll be looking to spend about $ 5 per large beverage but it’s totally worth it! Super hipster place sandwiched between two mexican joints, communal seating with lots of random books to keep you occupied while sipping on your drink. Wish they had one of these closer to home but for now, we’ll have to wait for special occasions when we’re around the area to drop in.

I love love the tea choices here! The list is small, but that’s okay… It’s really about all the combinations and more importantly I can enjoy a healthier boba with almond milk vs just watching my kid enjoy her combo. They have coffee too and one of my favorite chocolate companies sells there –Raaka. I wish they would carry the Yacon dark chocolate, but alas maybe one day soon…(it would be a bad thing for me, so don’t carry it!) And they have a rewards program which is awesome bc I’m all about stars and free stuff. I think I’ve come in here a ton of times now with all sorts of friends, but I love it with my daughter! The downside and there is one… No bathroom. There really needs to be a place to go that’s doesn’t require me buying a taco, which I have done, but seriously let us use yours…

Ordered the Blended/Pure toddy/Almond flavor. Best Almond coffee I have ever had. These brewers do it right. Plan on visiting more often with my sweety.

A cute family owned drink store located in the heart of Old Town. I ordered the pistachio green milk tea and at first didn’t quite understand the two together. But as I sipped more, the drink started to grow on me. As soon as I knew it, my drink was finished. I just wish the drink was stronger in flavor. A bit too subtle for me, but I appreciate how I can taste both the pistachio and matcha. I’m curious to come back to try other drinks.

If I was pressed to pick one coffee shop I could frequent for the remainder of my days here on Earth, it would definitely be Home Brewed Bar. The drinks are always perfect, but I’m still prompted by the baristas to try it before leaving so they can remake it for me *just in case*. They have a rewards system that gives you a free drink for every ten you order – music to a regular’s ears. Feather in their cap for linking your account to your credit card and not making you carry around one of their business cards that will inevitably get lost just as you’re about to max out your visits. I’m now one star away from getting my free drink! My coffee drinking habits at Home Brewed Bar are oddly nothing like how I drink coffee anywhere else. I typically don’t add milk and dislike sweet or flavored brews. However, nearly all the drinks are non-dairy. Also, they have other options(like almond, soy or hemp milk) if you’d prefer those over their house made non-dairy base. As for the flavors, this shop is literally the only place I will order these uniquely flavored coffee drinks – anywhere else and it’s black, just like my soul. I’ve tried the following lattes and have found each of them to be impressively subtle: — Coconut Latte — Pistachio Latte — Lavender Latte — Peanut Butter Mocha Latte — Jasmine Milk Tea As for the service, the baristas are ridiculously friendly and I still tell myself they only say ‘welcome home!’ to me. I do wish there were more parking options aside from the metered spots in the surrounding area, but realistically that won’t be stopping me from coming back every chance I get.

This place is interesting. I’m from 626 so I know all about dat boba scene, and this place is bougier than any other boba shop I’ve been to. Not saying that’s bad, but it usually doesn’t give me a very authentic vibe lol. BUT… don’t let that deter you, cos I was pretty surprised by how good their drinks are. I ordered the… uh I forgot, but I think the earl grey. Not sure if earl grey almond or something, or just straight up earl grey. but it was pretty good! I think they make it not very sweet, so it was kinda perfect in terms of sweetness. BUT. the game changer here is their cucumber mint honeydew. WHAT??? How’d you come up with that combo? Actually sounds disgusting at first lol, but I was really impressed with how that turned out. SO good! Refreshing, and not overly sweet. I didn’t even order this drink, my friend let me have some of hers. but I would definitely order this next time.

These are the best drinks you can get in Old Town Pasadena. Heck, these are the best drinks you can get in the greater SVG area. You can fully customize your drink here and they have a divine house milk that has zero lactose and it’s all natural. They also have cold pressed juices, cold brewed coffee, and awesome teas for people who want something simple and refreshing. I made a Matcha Hazelnut Milk drink and it was unbelievably good. All of my friends creations tasted just as good, if not better, which was hard to believe. Customer service and drinks really couldn’t be better. 5 stars all around.

Can I say this is my new favorite tea shop?! I came in once and I was instantly addicted, and now they’re just emptying my wallet! The interior of the café is super cute, theres plenty of seating for people to study and work. Their drinks are unique as you can build your own, but since I don’t drink coffee, I just get one of their milk teas! I am OBSESSED with their pistachio matcha milk green tea, which is one of their most populars, and you’ll see why when you try it! This drink is actually non dairy which is crazy– they use their house creamer, and it is pure crack. I haven’t had the chance to add boba to my drinks, but I need to the next time I visit. I always take home the cold brew for my roommate, and the vanilla cold brew is her favorite! I’ve also gotten my friends to fall in love with this place, so we’ve been buying drinks for each other every time each of us goes. I’ve even invested in their growlers(glass bottles) so I can just refill my bottle every time I visit. I definitely want to try their other drinks, but I can’t seem to order anything other than my regular! Find me here when I’m craving tea~

I’ve recently become hooked on another tea place on Lake. But since we just went to Slaters 50/50, this was a much closer option. I ordered the coconut lychee with chia seeds. Frankly, I did not like the flavor. It didn’t taste much like lychee and the coconut had a very earthy taste to it. I wasn’t sure exactly why the combination didn’t work, but it didn’t and didn’t get better as I drank more of it! Plus once the ice melts, it really waters down the flavor. Overall, didn’t enjoy my experience. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but it was on the menu and didn’t wow me.

Let’s just say I moved to Pasadena so I could be closer to this jubilee of all things coffee, milk tea and boba. All drinks(with the exception of the Vietnamese Coffee) are non-dairy, which blows my mind because they all taste like the dreamiest, creamiest, milkiest things that have ever graced this fine earth. I feel like part of the HBB fam, so the staff are all my pals and each one is a peach.’

Real little hip trendy place with extremely outgoing staff. As overly friendly the staff was, they were actually very informative and helpful when it came to ordering, because the menu was overwhelming with all the options. I ended up getting the small peach oolong milk tea with boba, which was earthy tasting and really only okay. I wish I had ordered something else. My friend got some sort of cucumber vanilla mix with other things, which was surprisingly good. Overall I think this place is okay. It’s definitely expensive for boba, at around $ 5!

The customer service here was exceptional! Right when we walked in the door, we were greeted with so much energy and a smile. We felt really welcomed! We were then provided with tons of information about their drinks, like how it takes them 20 days to prepare their cold brews/teas. Wow, that’s a long time. They had a bunch of things on the menu and you were free to customize any teas or coffees with all types of flavors! I went safe and stuck with the peach oolong milk tea and he got the honeydew milk tea. They honeydew milk tea was made with their cucumber mint tea, which gave the drink a cucumber aftertaste. I’m still traumatized from the cucumber aguas frescas and juice cleanse I did a couple months ago so I’m cool off anything cucumber… The peach oolong milk tea was really good. I felt like it wasn’t too sweet and the flavor wasn’t too strong. I did try the honeydew milk tea just to see what it tasted like. You could really taste the honeydew… but with a kinda weird cucumber taste afterwards. They have a electronic rewards program so you get stars for every time you visit!
