My favorite bar to go to. Love the people, vibes and music. The bartenders are amazing. I come here all the time and always have a good time with my bartenders and regulars. Highly recommended.

I ordered the moscato, cheese plate with pepperoni, margarita pizza, and fries. These is quite a crowd on Thursdays since its drinking night, they also tend to close the patio earlier so moving inside when you get the chance helps if you want to stay long till close. The music is really good which I enjoyed, and its a great place to unwind after a long day. The moscato was on point and has a good taste to it. It was not too dry I did have a sip of the riesling and it was pretty dry and I did not like that. The cheese plate was perfect for my diet since I am on the low carb diet. The cheese tasted ok it didnt have too much taste to it but the pepperoni was really good. The margarita pizza was good and its actually made from flat bread so you dont get too many carbs when eating it. The fries tasted really good I only got to have one since I did not want to over do it. I liked the ambience and vibe their and their service was also pretty good.

This is my favorite bar ever. The bartenders are super friendly and make you feel at home. Many people that go are regulars, but don’t feel astray, they will easily befriend you(and you too can be a regular in no time). Wednesday’s are $ 20 bottle days. Totally my fave.

This is where we should’ve started our night. Great little gem! Service was quick and attentive. They have two happy hours; an early one and a late one. Love that! We made it to the late happy hour. Had three dishes… delicious! They don’t serve hard alcohol so sadly no vodka tonic for me. Nice wine selection though. They serve lots of soju and some beers. Music was a smidge loud, it was hard to hear my sexy husband over the music. Eh, what’s that you say, sonny? Overall, will definitely be back!

Stopped by here for happy hour drinks only. We didn’t have a chance to try their food cus we had dinner plans elsewhere. I like the modern/rustic classic vibe of this joint. They have a large beautiful outdoor area. We were there a lil after 6pm and it was easy getting a table. Happy hour was still in session. Park near the Equinox. Bodega is on the 2nd floor. There’s a relatively large garage, but one extreme disappointment was the fact that the mall’s garbage offered 90 min complimentary parking with validation. The staff didn’t asked for our parking stub!!! :(by the time I got back to my car, it was already too late. There goes an extra $ 6. Sigh

Bodega Wine Bar is a perfect wine bar for date night. The atmosphere is very intimate and classy. That I believe is the big draw to this place and of course they have a diverse wine selection. Food is Tapa style, which is awesome when paired with wine: Tres Tacos and Margherita flatbread were pretty good. The Spiced Chicken & Bruschetta was so so, probably would not order it next time.

Cute restaurant to come to and spend a little time at in Paseo on a nice day. Bodega has a lot of outdoor seating which is nice on a spring, summer, or fall evening. I’m sure it gets busy, but it wasn’t busy at all on the Saturday night I went last weekend. The staff are friendly and were prudent as we mentioned that we were in a little hurry. I ordered the sliders and was pleasantly surprised with them. 3 of them were filling enough and the meat itself had a nice flavor to it. I would certainly order them again if I came back. The flatbread also looked good too. They delivered the bill timely which was appreciated since we were in a hurry. Overall a cute quaint little place to eat in Old Town.

This was another happy hour stop for me. I thought they were ok. The space inside is nice but I found it to be way too dark and this was at 5PM. I get that they are open primarily at night so the darkness doesn’t really matter but still I think some ambient lighting would go a long way. I did not partake in their wines, instead I went for the soju drinks which I found to be ok. I did have their pizza which was not bad at all.

I definitely would give Bodega Wine Bar four stars because of its flexibity in terms of offering food and drinks in low prices during different nights of the week. For example, Bodega offered Taco Tuesday, which consisted of $ 2 tacos(chicken, beef, and potato) and 50% off beer(which mostly had craft beer in bottle form only). I ordered the Ten FIDY by Oskar Blues Brewery, two beef tacos, and one potato taco, which surprisingly tasted wonderful! In addition to Taco Tuesday, Bodega also offers Happy Monday(happy hour prices all night), Andrew Jackson Wednesday(all bottles of red and white wine for $ 20), and Sunday Funday(board games all night). Now Bodega Wine Bar not only has wine and bottled beer but it also has soju, sake, and mixed drinks in addition to appetizers galore. Furthermore, service was good and the ambiance was nicely done with lights dimly lit and heat lamps keeping us warm. Overall, Bodega Wine Bar is a magnificent wine bar for date night or for people catching up over happy hour, wine, or drinks. P. S. Park at the Paseo. P. S.S. I wished it had beer on tap, but bottled beer is okay!

It’s really small they play movies and music, very good place to just to hang out with friends. It’s not too loud where you can still hear your friends. They have appetizers which are very good yummmm

FOOD: I love this place. They have awesome wine Wednesdays where they have half off bottles. One of my favorite bottles to buy is Reckless Love. Such a rich and amazing red wine. I love a lot of their apps especially their Fig Challah & Brie Grilled Cheese, the Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates w/Manchego, their Roasted Brussels Sprouts… I really don’t know any that I can say I dislike. Their Brie & Apple Pizza is sooo good. AMBIANCE: This is one of the cutest wine bars in Pasadena. The vibe is really relaxed. The décor is modern and chic. It’s a pretty cute spot for a date and good for groups. CUSTOMERSERVICE: I’ve always had great service. Their servers are always really awesome.

This place has potential for Pasadena. I went here on a first date setting — we had wine on Happy Hour and 2 appetizers. Decent enough place to come back when it’s not NFL season. Once 9pm hit, it literally turned into a quasi-lounge with football on the tv screen, loud music, and a bouncer.

Came here a few months back and had a quiet little dinner during Happy Hour. I recently returned on Saturday night and it was turnt up. Hadn’t expected the crowd or the DJ. The vibe was chill and classy… A little over croweded… The crowd was a mixed crowed equally disberesed and more on the dressy casual side… The waitress found my group of 5 a table and was very attentive checking on us eve so often. The music was a mix between hip hop and pop, pretty much the popular music… We really had a great time, we danced and ordered a few bottles … The door guy was very nice as well, He allowed me to sit in his seat as we waited to find a table.

I have not been to Paseo Colorado in such a long time that I didn’t know there was a wine bar here. It was our meeting place of a casual date night. First, parking was quite easy to find as it was a late in the night, however depending on where you park, you may still have to walk quite a bit to get to where you need to be. Bodega Wine Bar is located near or across El Cholo on the second floor closer towards Green Street. It was not overly crowded, and a seat yourself. There is two sections, more indoor closer to the bar, and the patio. We decided to plant ourselves in a corner out in the patio. Plenty of heaters to keep you toasty. We decided on Cabernet Sauvignons and for food, I wanted the Margherita flatbread. The wine and food was lovely but my experience here is why I’m giving the 4 stars. It was an amazing time. I definitely think it’s good for an intimate night or a night filled with friends. Tips– they do validate for the first 90 minutes. I still paid $ 6. And on Wednesdays, it’s $ 20 a bottle for wine!

Gave it a shot… Poor service. Leaving for el chollo so I can at least get served. Great atmo, no crowd. On business so I’m just a single diner looking for a decent glass of wine. Sat myself per sign, never greeted although staff was aware as I noticed eye contact. After 5 min, a gal passed by and said, «i’ll get you a menu.» A few moments later, she wordlessly dropped(not dramatically, but also not in a welcoming way) a wet paper menu in front me. I hadn’t paid much mind until this point, but then nothing, she appeared at two tables surrounding me, but never mine. Mind you, the place was 25% full at most. At the 6th minute of waiting for a second encounter, I got up and walked out. Perhaps they only cater to friends and family and not those of us traveling on business. Or maybe it was something else…, Dah well.

Uncomfortable seating. Insanely hot lamps overhead on a warm summer night. Distracted servers and useless hostess. Expensive food that tastes like it was pulled from the garbage. Salami salad was sparse and wilted. Very oily and unpleasant. Struggled to finish. Tomato Mozarella pizza was bread and oil and salt. The food here is boring, really boring, which is worse than food that tastes bad because food should at least have character, good or bad, but never boring. So many other choices nearby. Walk away and try something else.

My bday rolled around when my baby turned 5 weeks old, so my options were limited and my husband suggested I do a girls night out. I knew I wanted a glass of wine(I watched a lot of scandal during my pregnancy and Ms. Pope always had her jumbo glass!) so I did a quick search for ideas for a group nearby and Bodega came up. 5 minutes from my house, validated parking, and good for groups? Sold! I filled out the request online and Ginger, the event coordinator reached out via email right away. Group reservations are for parties of 10 or more, and they offer a 10% on select food items ordered in advance. Ginger was able to honor my request for a few substitutions(group menu is not a full menu). Favorite items were the beet and avocado salad and the bacon flatbread. Our waitress was really sweet and covered my one glass of wine and surprised us with some soju bday shots! Ginger also stopped by to check on us. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t anyone to greet us at the door, and they weren’t great about bussing our table full of food. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and convince of a reserved table and ordering ahead. I would recommend it for groups.

I’ve come here a few times and have always had enjoyed it. I’ve never been blown away by the food, but the service is great and the wine selection is pretty good. They have a great happy hour and it’s a perfect setting for a date. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area and want to relax at the bar with a glass of wine.

Came here with friends and loved the outdoor area. The long tables with bar stools were just the right setup to hang out with a group. Wine was tasty. Service was pretty good. I almost never hang in Paseo but will definitely be back.

Over the past year, I grew an affinity for wine bars and I can see why so many adults drink wine so often! This is a wine bar that I found on Unilocal one day and I’ve had it bookmarked for about 6 months. I finally made a trip to Pasadena and visited! We ordered the Malbec(I don’t remember the name!) by the bottle for about $ 29(?) and the Pepperoni & Cheese plate. The Malbec was pretty strong and had very bold flavors, but I definitely enjoyed it. The Pepperoni & Cheese plate is easily sharable between two people. It comes with white cheddar, pepperoni slices, and bruschetta. It was so divine. The atmosphere really speaks for itself. At night, the lighting is gorgeous and it feels sort of bougie(lol). I think this is a great environment that I would come again with friends!

It’s all about the happy hour and the intimate and beautiful interior and of course good wine. Came here to catch up with some friends for their Taco Tuesday and their special Happy Hour on wines, beers, and appetizers. Bodega is located in the Paseo Colorado shopping mall. I’ve always been to Old Pasadena down the block but had never ventured out this direction before, and I absolutely love this place. They have parking underground but I hear there’s free street parking in the area. I love their Syrah and Merlot wine as I’m a fan of full body wines, and these definitely hit the mark. A carafe is about $ 16 and a bottle is $ 20; you can’t really beat that at such a great wine bar. I also took the opportunity to try their $ 2 taco specials. They have 3 types: carnitas, chicken, and potato. The chicken was dry as expected so just go for the carnitas!

This place is totally a five star place! Great location, good food, great ambiance. Re best part was great happy hour, reverse happy hour and appetizers to go with the delicious wine, sake and Soju!!! Why missing the fourth star… Bartender service… Maybe because in not from Pasadena or maybe accustomed to a little more upbeat personalities, but these bartenders were RUDE. We went there with a group of 20 only half were drinking, out of those half only half at the bar. My boss was asking what they had and what he recommended, he LITERALLY put menus down and walked away! Not even a word!!! They were rude throughout the night, then he realized our tab was about $ 400, so I think I witnessed a smile at one point. Anyhow, maybe all three bartenders were having a bad night. I would return for the venue itself. I’ll just keep drinking until the bartenders seem nice. Lol!

Everybody loves this place, but I’m not too much of a fan. Before about 5PM it’s really alright. After that point it gets way too busy and WAY too loud. The music itself is pretty obnoxious and the patrons are often even worse. The staff is usually too busy to keep track of their sections or remember orders properly. The prices aren’t outrageous but aren’t generous by any means. The portions aren’t satisfying. The food is alright.

I love loved loved this wine bar. Its is an amazing place to hang out and talk with some music playing in the background. They have an inside area and a patio, both purty awesome! Service was great and very attentive!!! Prices were decent too. We had the cheese plate which had very little cheese to be honest i wish they had done more cheese but they were good, we also had the bacon everything flatbread and that was delicious!!! Overall great experience, i will be back!!!

Wine and dimmed lighting? It cannot get much better when defining the ultimate date place. SUPER romantic. Boys, take your girl to a spot like this and she will be impressed. Service is really nice and they definitely know their wines. Tell the server what type of wine you are leaning towards and they will come out with options. We wanted a red wine that was sweet but not dry, and our server brought us samples to taste and choose from. We chose the Malbec which was really good. I can’t vouch much for the food, but the BBQ chicken pizza was super good and crust was perfect texture of crispy but soft center. Sooo good. It was more of a personal size but good if you want something light. Overall, loved the atmosphere. It would also be perfect for a GNO.

This place is bomb! We came here to celebrate my sister’s birthday on a busy Saturday night. We made reservation for 13 people at 8pm. We were seated even before everyone arrived which was cool. Service: good — around 9−10pm, the place got really packed, but the service still maintained. Ginger was very accommodating. She even got us a round of soju shots for free. Food: WOW! Everything was amazing! Their Brie grilled sandwich is to die for! Their varieties of pizzas are a must! Hummus and pita appetizers was also delicious. But overall, my favorite would have to be the Brie grilled cheese sandwich! Drinks: we had a few rounds of sangria, bottles of wine(cab), and pink champagne. I would highly recommend the sangria! Sangria is a creeper but it was refreshing. Ambience: even though it’s in Pasadena, it was very casual. Everyone there is super friendly and down to earth. I think I found my Friday night hang out spot. I would definitely come back again so I can write a better review.

It’s more of a 3.5 stars. I came here for Galentine’s Day 2015 and sat in the patio area. It’s really beautiful outside where you can see strings of lights and people passing by. There’s great ambiance here and definitely a cute date place. But we definitely weren’t the only ones celebrating Galentine’s here. The entire group ordered a variety of dishes. I did steal a taste of the brie grilled cheese($ 10), which was so yummy! It had a nice crunchy bread holding the soft cheese and fig inside. The sad thing is that it only comes in four small squares, some sliced apples, and walnuts. I also tasted the three cheese plate($ 13), which was simply three blocks of cheese, crackers, apple slices, walnuts, and honey. Nothing too extraordinary to me, but my friends loved the honey paired with literally everything. As for me, I ordered the roasted fingerling potatoes($ 8). They come in potato wedges form and was quite flavorful. It also came with ketchup and aioli sauce. Food wise, everything was good. I just find it on the pricier end for such small portions. It’s nice for a drink and some snacking, but it’s a wine bar after all. As for drinks, I got the El Ray($ 8), which is a cocktail of soju and passion fruit rockstar. If you’re looking for something where you don’t taste the alcohol, this is a good choice. I also tried my friend’s fruit beer(I forgot the name of it), and it was sweet. You could almost mistaken it for a wine. The best part was their in house sake bottle for only $ 10. For a group of 8, we had at least 4 – 5 rounds for each bottle.

A tester !
