I have a 1000 sq foot house and needed rain gutters cleaned(gutters just on front and back of house). Was told when I called they charged $ 95 and hour. Well, two guys came by for a little over an hour, cleaned them out just fine, but I received a bill for $ 230. When I called to complain, was told the $ 95 per hour charge was — ahem — per workman. Guess I should just count my blessings and be glad they didn’t send three or five or ten gutter cleaners out. Not happy.

I’m surprised to find that I’m the first person to write a review for Ashcraft. I’m glad to have the honor of being the first to giving a ringing endorsement of the company. We have the dryer in the middle of the house and a run of the flexible ridged vent line that goes through the floor in the crawlspace and winds around nearly 20 feet to the outside. We were having issues with our dryer venting and we called Keith Ashcraft on the recommendation of our neighbors two doors down. They had had some work done and were very pleased. It was easy to reach Keith and he arrived right on schedule. He examined the line and the house and made a recommendation to replace it with a custom line made of smooth sheet metal. We asked him to give us a quote and he did so within a couple days. We opted to have the work done and during the fabrication period Keith again came over to our house to double check the measurements to ensure it was all going to be right. The actual work was performed by Van who arrived right on time and was careful to lay down protective tarps. The job wasn’t terribly easy because of the tight spaces and routing that needed to be performed, but it was about a ¾ day job(including lunch) and we were pleased with the quality of the work all the way around. He cleaned up well, and our dryer is running like a champ again. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Ashcraft Co again for any work I might need done.
