Got an awesome rate and paid for PMI insurance(prepay) upfront to alleviate monthly mortgage insurance surcharges. This tip from them saved us a great deal of money. Process was easy to follow and my loan officer was on top of his game, always prompt to respond and perform periodioc communications. Everything in the end turned out as expected, if not better! Still can’t getting a better rate anywhere, and this was about 4 years ago. Will most likely convert to 15 year through them if rates continue to drop. Recommend to family and friends all the time.

I’ve been a loan officer for 13+ years and have worked for the giants in the business like Chase and GMAC, as well as a for a small community bank. In my experience, eLEND has the best underwriting and processing department that I have ever dealt with. This allows them to get loans closed faster and without any of the major hiccups that I’ve seen with other lenders. On top of that, eLEND’s rates and fees are always well below any other lender that you compare them to when you shop. I would rather work with eLEND because they are a small company who will value you and your business more than one of the soulless corporate behemoths in the industry. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic in my recommendation of eLEND!

Amazing customer service and rates! I used them for my mortgage and have recommended them to all my friends and family. Couldn’t be happier with this company.

I have been working with this mortgage company and it has been an absolute disaster. 1. I was researching companies to use and I found these guys. Their INITIAL rates were better then most companies so I attempted to reach them. Getting a call back from them took days and 2 inquiries to people on LinkedIn– this should have been a HUGE red flag. 2. I dealt with one of their lendors and explained what I was trying to accomplish. We spent 2 days working on it when he comes back and says«Whoops, those aren’t the actual rates because of abc…» I was like, «Hello I explained exactly what I wanted.» 3. It was a constant barage of emails asking for this and then for that. No matter what I sent them, they constantly kept asking for more paper work often things I’ve sent before… many times before. 4. What I was quoted was NOT what I ended up with in the end. A lot of people consider this BAITANDSWITCH. 5. The process took about 3 months. IFYOUAREIN A HURRY, DONOTUSETHEM! 6. It seems they do not have their communication down very well between them. I was hearing different things from different people. For example I gave them my credit card to do the appraisals. It took weeks before even one of them was done delaying the refi. THEN they said that the credit card they had didn’t work for the other two that were already suppose to be done? Well why did you have my cc for one and not the other 2? 7. I was sent a CONGRATULATIONS email within about 2 weeks from starting. DONOTLETTHISFOOLYOU. Who knows why they sent that because here we are about 5 weeks later and STILL going through the process. 8. They called my company three times to verify my employment. HR had to ask me if they were going to keep calling. 9. The person I was dealing with has a voicemail that is full so you can’t leave voicemails. Seriously? He was also extremely slow in returning emails. 10. Communicating with them is herendous– I have an entire inbox full of back and forth emails. Bottom line I would NEVER do business with this company. Definitely look into other companies because I know there are tons out there that can do this MUCHQUICKER and a similar rate. A month ago paperwork indicated I should expect about $ 1k in closing costs. Monday I got a phone call. «We’re ready to close». «Thats great. How much will I need at closing?» I asked. «I have not got the final numbers yet, but its about $ 1300». Wednesday I got my paperwork. $ 7000 in closing costs. Thursday my paperwork was revised to include $ 7500 in closing costs. I wont be using eLend.

Horrible place to do business. They«stall» thus causing you to miss your lock period and then they want to charge you for extending the lock period. Shady company… stay away.

Avoid eLend at all costs. They have no intention of actually closing any loan. They offer one delay after another and more excuses than we can count. Ultimately, after preparing all the paperwork, doing the appraisals, doing credit checks(our scores are in the 800’s) and verifying payoff amounts, they delayed again for an unexplained reason which then caused our mortgage to roll past thirty days on one payment, for which they then declined us the next day. So not only have they cost us the amount of the appraisal, our credit report now shows a late payment. I wish we would have read the reviews first!

I wish I had read the other reviews before I began working with Kyle from elend. My realtor suggested I use zillow to find a lender and elend had the best rates with the least fees. However, as with others, this lender was not responsive. Kyle told me he would get me a good faith estimate by noon one day and call me once it was ready. However, he never called that day and it took two days to get an estimate that looked like it took five minutes to put together. Every time I try to communicate with him, I don’t get response for approximately 24 hours sometimes more. I wish I had not permitted him to run my credit or to give him all documents because his poor service was apparent from the beginning. While other lenders call my phone non-stop, Kyle sent me two form letters to get started and I only heard from him after a concerned message. I wouldn’t ever recommend elend. You have too much to do when buying a home and they are not helpful or responsive and could cost you the deal.

We are currently trying to finalize a loan on a home. We have had one delay after another. The loan officer will tell me that she’s waiting on a document from the insurance company or title company, etc. and she’s waiting hours or a whole day. When I try to call these same insurance or title companies I can get the document in minutes. We are currently two days past our closing. When you call the loan officer, her voicemail is full. When you email the loan officer she will respond one time out of 3 to 4 emails. We had a 60 day escrow, plenty of time to get this done. Very unhappy customer.
