If you are looking for fine dining this place isn’t for you. If your looking for a watering hole with good food, cold drinks and a friendly atmosphere you should give it a try. Sports themed, more than enough tv’s and friendly service

Al’s is the bee’s knees (yes, I’m trying to make that cool again). This review is pretty simple. If you’re looking for the best wings in KC, this is it. If you’re looking for cheap beer and a relaxed dive-​ish place, this is it. If you want to eat good, basic food in come-​as-​you-​are clothing, this is it. I’m not going to complain about the service, the atmosphere, or anything else — because Al’s just is what it is. An awesome, relaxed dive with the best damn wings around. They get their food delivery on Tuesday’s, so Monday dinner can be hit or miss depending on how busy the weekend was. Bye BWW, see ya never.

Good food, good drink, good service and good people. Have been going to Al’s for some time and all of the above has always been true.

Been to about the wings here and I’m a wing junkie. Reports were right on, wings are some of the best I’ve had in KC. A must stop for wing and beer lovers. PBR on tap!!!

Love this place! They have the friendliest bartenders, and Al speaks to all of his customers. It’s a great place to watch the games.

I love the chicken wings here! Triple crispy with the sauce on the side is the way to do it. Always friendly service, and the owner is super nice.

Get the wings. Have them ‘extra crispy’ and a few RBV’s…you’ll smile for days. Oh, and ask Al to tell a joke! He always has terrible jokes!

Usually good service and good prices, but there are some issues with the bar staff. Most of the bartenders we have had were attentive, prompt and courteous. We had a bartender this evening that was very drunk, and obviously disruptive to the rest of the staff. She broke a bottle and did not clean it up correctly. She continued to drink while other bartenders picked up her slack. Al’s would do much better with new patrons if they were more selective about their bartenders and fired the woman that served us tonight.

I was raised in the Parkville area, and moved away. I came back to visit a while back to visit and came here for dinner and a couple of drinks before a show. I met the owner as I walked in. He was a funny, friendly, and generous man– even bought my first drink! The bartenders were also so nice! Amazing time and will go back!

We stopped in here from Michigan & the Chicken Wings are the Worlds 4^th Best.

Basic bar. no bells and whistles. Best wings the bf has had so far and the queso rangoons where shockingly good. Def revisit for a chill night, maybe to watch a game.

Love going to Al’s. Cheap beer and food and the atmosphere is always great. The staff makes you feel like you are at home. It is a great little bar that has a great thing going.

Best wings around, make sure to ask for the beer cold, otherwise a great hole in the wall!

Post visit hugs?! Yes, that is what received in exchange for watching the game and eating their food.
A few drinks later our excited and helpful waitress suggested the queso rangoon. I would absolutely get that again. We also grabbed a fish sandwich and a Buffalo Chicken wrap.
Since the wings are raved about I did choose the wrap, it was very spicy and filling. The fish sandwich was a little over done, the bun was weird and the fries were just, eh. There were other sides I’d be willing to try next time, including the sweet potato fries.
After we ate our waitress sat down with us to chat, we also had no less than two visits from a man who I assume was Al. If not, the patrons are super friendly there too! We were informed that next time we have to try the sliders and the wings. I just might go back for a hug too.

What a great little bar! We followed some friends here for a nightcap since it was near their house and on the way to ours. How many times have I been in this area and have never seen this place… too many. It’s hiding in a strip mall. I hate to let the cat out of the bag but this is a super cool place to hang out. The owner is so nice and the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our friends were raving about the wings so on full stomach’s we had to order anyway. You know they are good and you know they are hot when they set the basket down in front of you and you just smell that smell and I know you wing people know what I’m talking about. I only ate 2 but quite frankly could have eaten the entire basket by myself. Did I mention I was full from dinner when I walked in.
And other thing — they know how to pour the drinks! I was certainly not expecting that with the first sip. This is what I like to call a great little dive bar.
Funny thing is that I mentioned it to a hometown friend of mine and he said he’d been going there for a long time and raved about the owner. Sometimes I am just the last to know… Can’t wait to go back

Wow what good wings you have.

If what you are looking for is a five star fine dining establishment — um, don’t go!
If what you are looking for is a clean ‘dive bar’ then this is your place. Lots of TV’s sports are always on — (except curiously during a 2 hour cheers marathon, which I found to be fun)
Service is quick, food is hot and reasonably priced, and the beer is cheap and cold… what more could you want from a bar?
Good: Chicken Wings, Sliders, Red Taco’s. Turkey Sandwitch, Cheap Bud Light!
Free wi-​fi too.

Love Al’s! VERY friendly staff! Great snacks, I Love the wings and Red «hot» tacos! Wash them down with a very reasonably priced pitcher or tasty beverage! I hope Al’s remains here for years to come! Close to home, fun and friendly! Yes, I would recommend a friend or two or three and I have!

This is a small, locally owned bar and grill in what I would call Parkville, but it’s listed as KC.
You’ll catch the owner there much of the time hanging out and talking to customers.
There’s several large tv’s for watching sports and you can tell this place is a favorite hang out for many people. I think one of the reasons has to be his wings. Honestly, besided the sweet potato fries — it’s all I’ve tried on his very different menu. But, let me tell you. If you like wings like I do, you’re going to love Al’s. Nice, hot, juicy, not overcooked or oversauced, THEY ARE PERFECT. Service is fine – not many servers, but they all seem to handle the business well and they’re pleasant.
I say, if you’re in the area and you’re looking to try something new, take some time to stop into this well-​kept secret.
