A dirt road, an off road vehicle and a bar in the middle of nowhere… I’m in! Then add live bands, cool t-shirts, food and great company. Oh man! This is my kind of place! We had a blast! If you are adventurous and thirsty, you should definitely venture down the dirt road!

When things require a little effort and planning the rewards are all the more sweeter. So we were hanging out at the river looking for something different to do and someone said, «Anyone know how to get to the Desert Bar?» I had never even heard of it. We stopped in a few places along the way to «get directions» from the locals. If you have low clearance take a different vehicle. If you enjoy dirt roads, this one isn’t bad, in fact we had fun on it. Although we weren’t sure if we were on the right dirt road, eventually our quest ended uphill at a steeple. Plastic cups and paper plates with classic picnic style food, this place is a twist on your typical Americana. The food isn’t bad, it’s just not the main reason you come here. The Structures are in contrast to the desert surrounding. I love the view from the women’s room and the heavy metal stalls. I can’t compare it to anything else. It certaining has a lot of character all it’s own. The giant tower swamp coolers really work as the push out a cool moist breeze over the bar area. We were so surprised to see so many interesting types of people who like us just happened upon the place. Worth another trip back. I’m interested to see what other improvements have been made.

What an experience. Great time, great music. The drive in and out was nerve rattling. 4.5 miles in 20 minutes. Take a truck, your car may need a wheel alignment afterwards. If you are looking for a great time that is the place.

Had a great time enjoying the desert ambiance, inexpensive beers, live music, people watching and nachos… amazing! Good times in the desert!

It’s not likely you will ever have the place to yourself and a few small groups. Still, it’s a fun place to take someone that has never been here. This Valentines Holiday it was nearly fully packed at Noon. It’s obvious that the bar expands a little every year but, it’s still totally off the grid which is cool. The solar panel installation is epic though. Provides a lot of shade and power. The service at the bars and food area is good and friendly. They were definitely well prepared for the crowd and seemed to handle it with ease. The Nachos are good, the TriTip sandwich was ‘really’ good.

Ok, I get it, this place is a great hang. But the food and drink is average at best and over priced. The music is top notch and the people watching is, too. Bottom line, it’s worth the 4 mile drive, but only once.

Wow! Would never have known about this place had it not been recommended by our RV camp host. It’s a desert experience 5 miles off the main road on a fire road. Can be driven in a regular vehicle slowly. We were there in early March so the weather was good. Good music, good fresh food, interesting building design… an ironworkers dream with lots of steel and welding. Lots of people and a unique experience.

Enjoyed the unique experience and creativity of the way the bar was designed! My boyfriend and I tried their«best bloody Mary’s around». AWFUL… Best around cuz they are the«only». Took them back to the bar and the bartender was rude and showed no customer service. Might suggest he receive a course on good customer service training.

If you are in the area, swing bye. Unique oasis tucked away in the Buckskin Mountains. Cold beer, warm food and live music. Definitely worth the trip. Bring cash because they don’t take plastic.

It’s called The Desert Bar for a reason. If you don’t like off-roading, the outdoors, live music, cold drinks, or friendly people, dont come. The place is cool. The food is horrible. Worst chili ever. If you come for the food, you’ll stay for the atmosphere. Ride a dirt bike there, or drive your wife’s new BMW like my friend did.

I just don’t think I get it. You take a dirt road(which you could do in a sedan if you go slow) to a bar that is open 6 hrs a day for half the year. They sell cans of crap beer(bud, miller, Coors and their light brethren) for $ 3, and there is fried food at crazy prices. $ 9 onion rings or $ 17 nachos for example.(CASHONLY) Scenery is decent, but I have seen nicer with less of a headache to get to. I really think this is just a place to see and visit once.

5 miles. + of rough dirt washboard road. In the middle of no place it appears. The DESERTBAR. Not quite fine dining but quite acceptable. If you have been here you will return. If you have not been here it’s your loss. Live bands on weekends.

Not one bad thing to say about this place. Terrible drive to get there Crappy beer Hot as heck Loud Music Packed Crazy people Fried food Small stone restrooms I forgot to mention that these are all of the reasons I went to this place. My grandparents are from Washington state and travel to Parker to stay for the winter. They discovered this place through their friends and take their jeeps to The Desert bar. My grandfather had told me about this bar in the middle of nowhere and that there is live music. I envisioned something that turned out to be exactly what the Desert Bar was. My family had a great time when we went over a year ago. They also have helicopter rides there as well. I would recommend everyone to check out The Desert bar I have not had that much fun in a long time with the family.

Unusual but awesome place to go out here in the desert! After a long rough dirt road for 5 miles which takes about 30 minutes you pop out at this bar in the middle of the mountains. Everything is run off of solar generators, they have a live band, and a full bar, and grilled food. This place is unique and a must do when visiting the area. Be careful with your car so you don’t pop a tire!

A combination of Mad Max, Water World, and Easy Rider. The Bar in Desert – as I like to call it – is a very special place. After a 15 minute dusty off-road ride, you arrive thirsty and ready to party with some awesome live music. I like that the place is totally off the grid. The giant towers are actually swamp cooler systems. And the eletricity comes from solar panels and is stored in a huge collection of powerful lithium batteris(near the restrooms). Check it out.
