The ice cream was very good, but the very long wait in line was not. I think the place needs to have more employees on the busy weekends.

Best sunset in a Holland public area, located in the beach house at Holland State Park (requires daily or annual permit, but you can enter free by foot or bike). Hudsonville ice cream ($ 3.50 beach size, $ 2.75 regular, $ 1.50 kiddie). If you’re not sure about a flavor choice, try the Michigan-​geography-​inspired Grand Traverse Bay Cherry Fudge or Sleeping Bear Dunes Bear Hug. There’s also 24 flavors of soft serve, grill food, and a small store with beach-​related items.
