I am from La and i visited here with my aunt. I found this place best sushi place I’ve ever been in Amerca! I cannot even compare this place with other typical cheap sushi restaurants. All sushi and sushi rolls are fresh and perfect. Other plates, especially Grilled octopus taste really good. You should check this place if u are near here !! Yumm

Best sushi place in the area. Better than yuki and Johnny imo. Not only is the food excellent but the service is great. Very friendly staff and they have given us complimentary dessert several times.

I went there for lunch and ordered chirashi. Based on other Unilocal reviews, I was excited to try out this place. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectation. You cannot expect to have authentic Japanese food here similar to other«Japanese restaurants» in this area. Fish is not cut in a way you can enjoy the flavor of fish. You would understand this if you have had traditional sushi before. A slice of egg omelet on chirachi tasted like powder. I do not believe it’s made in house. Even the imitate crab stick tasted dry.

Just had dinner here for the first time. It’s located right off a main road so it was very easy to find. The restaurant itself is a bit small but they set it up so that the tables are not on top of each other. They have on very soothing music which isn’t too loud which is good because you can have a conversation without having to talk over it. There weren’t any other dinner parties there at that time so I don’t know how that noise level is. After we were seated, the waiter came over right away with menus. He let us take our time looking over them & when we were ready he quickly came over. The food came out in under 10 minutes & it was absolutely delicious. When we were ready for the check the waiter also brought out a complimentary desert(mochi ice cream & strawberries). Overall it was a great experience & I definitely will be going back there!

This tiny BYO is Hands down, the best sushi place in the area. Specialty rolls are tremendous — there are many excellent choices. Everything is prepared fresh and carefully, so don’t come expecting everything in 5 minutes. Quality food is worth waiting for. Staff was friendly, accommodating and genuinely appreciative of our patronage . I look forward to returning very soon.

This place is great, always always great! The people who work there and the food are equally incredible. One cold afternoon I was given hot green tea while I waited for my take-out order. It was just such a kind gesture. I just received their new menu which looks amazing — although there was nothing wrong with their old menu! I ordered a special roll from their old menu(not realizing they had a new menu) but the chef was kind enough to make it for me anyway! Every roll is perfect, delicious, and fresh. I really want this restaurant to stick around, it’s truly different from all others in the area. Order the avocado sauce on the side… you won’t be sorry!

Good selection of both Japanese and Korean fare here — the lunch special portions are very generous(katsu don comes on a massive plate, and sushi rolls are overflowing with fish), and the owners are nice and attentive. Would definitely come back again for lunch!

Was just expecting a normal sushi place coming here but by the time I got my food, my opinion changed. This place is very small, only has four tables and a big sushi bar. I got the any three rolls lunch special with salmon, spicy tuna, and salmon avocado. The miso soup and salad were just like anything you would get somewhere else, I would have liked more salad dressing but I always over do it with dressing on my salads so that’s my opinion. There are photos of food all over the restaurant, makes you want to buy more, be careful. I never really understood how someone could have better sushi because it all tastes good to me but once I got my three rolls, that all changed. The fish tasted so soo fresh and was absolutely delicious. My favorite roll was the spicy tuna roll, by far the best spicy tuna roll I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend that. Will be trying he spicy salmon next time I come. Midway through our lunch, the waitress came over with a small bowl, we didn’t order anything else. It was three pieces of a fried roll, looked to be crab and avocado. As she walked away, she said«on the house». That was an awesome gesture and by the way, they were delicious! One of the people I was with got the chicken katsu and it looked amazing, the portion was way bigger than any of us had thought it was going to be and he said it was really good. Need to come back for that as well. A great restaurant is one that makes you wanna come back and this one, well I already have my next two meals picked out

This place is awesome! I could get to know that the chef went all out for every plate. Even for the simple plate like a salad, he put a lot into it so made it little bit special. Yes, all the plates of this restaurant had something special like special sources or secret ingredients or decorations and those things make the plates even better. I really enjoyed my lunch with my wife. It was a successful date. I will definitely come back.

I went there with my family last week. This place is under new ownership since February they said, and dishes were so good and beutiful! I go to many sushi places, and here the sauces for each dish were awesome and tasty. I like they serve sashimi on «ice-made plate». It is definitely a place to go for sushi lovers!

This place is under new ownership. I live in Manhattan but I come to Park Ridge once a week for work. I tried this place for take-out today and was very pleasantly surprised. The owners(I assume) were VERY welcoming. They took my order and then offered me a seat and a cup of tea while I waited. I hardly even had time to finish my tea before my food was all ready to go! So fast. They handed me a take-out menu but informed me that they will have an updated menu next week with more interesting rolls and such. The sushi was very fresh and delicious, I was very satisfied. The restaurant is VERY small(maybe room for 4 parties at tables and then room at a sushi bar) so keep that in mind, but I will definitely be back for take-out or sit-down. I wanted to give them props for being a great small-business establishment.

Consistently great food! Freshest sushi, inventive menu and lovely staff. Must try the gyoza. They are the lightest and most flavorful I’ve ever had. I try other sushi places in the area occasionally, but always come home to Yuki!

Ate here for my lunch break and honestly loved it. The restaurant is pretty small but the food definitely compensates for the size. I had — California roll with the L16 which came with a bulgolgi bowl with mini udon and a side salad. The meal also came with green tea and complimentary edamame. At the end of it, one of the chefs gave me a free piece of sushi which was really nice. The bulgolgi bowl was huge in portion and the mini udon wasn’t that mini either. This was great because I really was getting a full meal that was delicious for a great price. The California roll was honestly the best California roll I’ve ever had. It was so fresh. The staff was nice and friendly always greeting hello and goodbye to customers with a smile. I think I found my new sushi place. Taking friends next time I come back!

It’s a small hole in a wall neighborhood Sushi place being ran by a very friendly Korean folks. I’m very comfortable ordering sushi here. Mind you, it’s not the high end«Nobu» stuff. It’s pretty average Joe(Isuzu) stuff. But what does come out is fresh. The price reflects that. It’s affordable sushi that is slightly above average. Two things tho. I’m Japanese and I wasn’t impressed with some of their cooked Japanese dishes. So, I probably won’t go there for that. But, their Korean dishes are pretty decent.(married to an korean. FYI) It’s probably not the best place for an first date to impress your new date. But, it’s a great value /quality for lunch and casual dinner.

Two stars because of service. Food was very mediocre. Absolutely nothing great about this place. My fiancé and I came to the area because we had a wedding to attend Sunday. We Unilocaled restaurants for dinner on a Saturday night. We aren’t fans of Italian so we decided on this place because of the reviews. When we walked in there was only one couple in the restaurant. They were slowly finishing up their meal. We ordered a naruto cucumber roll thing and the love boat for two. Naruto was about 12 $ and love boat was 50 $. Prices seemed average for a sushi place. We got complimentary soup and salad– both of which were pretty good. We weren’t fans of naruto roll. The cucumber was falling apart and so was some of the filling. It did look pretty though. We got the love boat with sashimi, sushi and one tuna roll. Everything was very… Basic. They served us the same fishes in the sashimi and sushi. I think the fishes were flounder, escolar, tuna, salmon and shrimp. I felt that we could have gotten some eel or a touch fancy. Friends asked for recommendations for food the next day and we told them to not go here. It wasn’t at all worth our money or time.

I had no idea you could get good Japanese food in Park Ridge. This is a cute little place and they will happily do takeout.
