Michael Vaughn Hair

Well, my favorite stylist from this shop, Carmen, has moved to a new salon (Blown Away also in Park Ridge). I will follow this stylist wherever she goes, you know, once you have found someone who always does a great job, and does what you want, you don’t want to change. Shops come and go, good stylists do not.

Funny how I found this salon. I needed a good place to go locally. Got tired of the downtown chicago salons and prices. Found myself waiting in line in Arlington Hts– and I noticed the woman in front of me had a great hair style and highlights. Really looked top notch! I asked her where she has her hair done– and she said Michael Vaughn’s in Park Ridge. We chatted for a bit and I knew I was going to follow up. I was not disappointed!
Nora took care of me and gave me an awesome cut with caramel highlights. She is young but that is what I needed to update my cut and hair. I felt like a new woman when I left– and it was so reasonable. I sent my sister and my niece to see her– they were very happy too– and sent me their glam pic on the spot! Nora you are great!!!

My mum has been going to her hairstylist, Carla for years (and I did too when I lived in the Midwest) and Carla’s last salon (James Anthony) started going in a different direction so she switched here and my mum followed.
We were in town for the weekend and needed to get our three year old’s daughter cut for the first time. Unfortunately, Carla wasn’t in but she recommended we see Danielle who was perfect. Danielle and Carla have been working together for years and similar to Carla she also switched.
Danielle was patient and very skillful for distracting our daughter during her first cut and knew exactly what to talk to her about which made her feel comfortable and at ease. Michael Vaughn himself was present tonight and was very sweet offering our daughter a lolly at the end of her cut. If only we lived closer :).

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for years. It’s unassuming from the outside — located in a strip mall with Blockbuster and Subway. But, the stylists are talented and the staff is great. People are always asking me where I get my hair cut. I think they expect me to tell them I pay $ 100 at some fancy downtown salon. Sorry! Haircuts start at $ 35 (I think) and are fantastic… always on the style!
