The food is very good here — likely the best in the entire Mall. But the service is horrible! With average service, this would be a 4 star review. The servers hate the customers and are not shy about expressing that opinion. What an excellent place for a Restaurant Stakeout tv episode! Time to bring in Willie! Lentil soup: very tasty and the small is large enough for me. There is a slight sweet taste I didn’t like(cinnamon?) but overall a very good soup. Salads: yes yes. Plenty of good greens and other veggies along with a tasty walnut grapefruit dressing. Falafel and beef wraps: Again, excellent. I recommend eating with a side of pickles and the hot sauces. Mint infusion: hot water and mint leaves, refreshing taste and smell. We had to wait a long time to be noticed by the staff before seating, before ordering, before getting the check, before getting the food. The waitress did not write down our order, and forgot a dish. They didn’t charge us for the dish. The waitress was visibly annoyed with everybody and everything. After waiting a long time for a check, I made the ‘hand writing on check’ signal for ‘we want the check’. I thought the waitress was going to kill me. Trust me, if I had to fight her, she would win 9 out of 10 times. Even with the 2 star review, I would return when in GSP, if only for all the money I save on tips.

This place is a welcomed addition to GSP. Normally when in that mall the only place we like is Legal Seafood. Nanoosh gives us alittle more depth while shopping! Their humus is good and their new falafel is awesome. Fresh ingredients, some organic and the falafel is baked not fried. Just wish their humus-falafel plate came with some greens! Definitely will be back! This is really 3.5 stars

Pricey for what you get. After tax and tip I paid $ 15 for a small salad covered with dry chicken and what I assume was a microwaved portion of peppers and onions. I ordered Greek feta dressing and was served a bowl of some oily, yellow stuff. I was looking for something lower in carbs than typical food court fare and Nanoosh fit the bill. Unfortunately I could have gotten a more substantial, fresher salad at Chipotle or the salad place in the food court.

The only place to eat in the Garden State Mall. Great Price, Organic, Delicious & authentic Middle-eastern Food. Some of my faves are the Nanoosh Wrap, Quinoa Salad, Hummus, Tomato Salad & Rice Pudding. You never feel guilty eating here, you actually end up feeling healthier then when you walked in!

It was a perfect brunch spot today for me and my friend. We each had coffee(Keurig; no charge for second cup; nice) and shared both the quinoa salad and hummus with onions and mushrooms(sauteed; nice) with whole wheat pita and also a plate of veggies. Next time I’ll get a veggie plate filled with cukes and celery and they’ll accommodate. This time we had celery, cukes, and carrots. Normally they put broccoli but I nixed that. We were both starving and yet there was enough left over for a nice meal later for me. Nice atmosphere and in a very convenient. Reasonably priced. No rushing us. And we did not have a coupon. Totally worth full price. The 5 stars is based on the 2 dishes + the coffee and price. I look forward to going back.

I love it here. Food is delicious and tasty. I work about a mile away so this is my spot for lunchtime. So much better than the food court. And they are quick, helpful, and healthy!

Great food. Freshly made. Pleasant staff. Hummus was delicious, so was the taboulie.

I was dissapointed. The advertising and walls led you to believe it was fresh items but the tuna wrap is canned tuna, I believe the mushroom wrap is canned mushrooms. I ordered Baba ghanoush and I am pretty sure they brought out hummus with a boat load of oil around the sides; I asked to double check and the waitress said it was baba ghanoush but I didn’t taste any eggplant; only chick peas. The mint iced tea tasted more like syrup than iced tea. Everything came out so quickly you know it is not made fresh. The side dishes were good. The ground beef wrap was ok but nothing stellar. I feel like there are much better meals to be had in the $ 12/plate price range.

I was astonished to find the comforts of NY right in a NJ mall! This place used to be my local lunch spot on the regular and now to find one in a commercial spot like the GS Plaza let’s me know there is indeed hope for the suburbs! This venue is small but the menu is the same as the city locations. The waitress was friendly and attentive and food came out fast. I ordered the hummus chicken bowl and it came with the works such as tahini, hummus(duh), a small salad, and pita. The lightly sweetened mint tea was also delicious and it did have fresh mint leaves. Everything tasted fresh and light and the atmosphere was very pleasant. It was a nice escape from the bustling mall. I highly recommend Nanoosh as a welcome departure from the typical mall food offerings.

This place is alright. I’d give it 2.5 stars if I could. I like the marinated chicken salad on greens with tahini dressing. The pita is very dry, as is the chicken. I’m not even sure how they make chicken that dry. You think a middle eastern themed place would get pita right. Some of the portions are insanely small. I’m a very small person, but I left still hungry after eating an $ 11 wrap. I have an 8 year old sister who isn’t really used to healthy food, but is impressively willing to try new things. She is very open minded, but we still ended up at Wendy’s in the food court after this. I got her the kids meal(there is only one kids meal) with the marinated chicken in the pita. It was unbearably dry. I’m used to healthy foods but I totally understand why she couldn’t eat it. Now I know this is a pretty busy place, but the service here kind of stinks. Its not that they aren’t nice, they are. But they NEVER check to see how you are doing and you can never get their attention for anything. I come back here because it is one of the few half decent healthy dining options in the mall.

I was excited to find a all natural and organic restaurant in the mall but the food is a little over priced compared to the size of the plate. I had the ground beef wrap, it was alright… a little dry. One small wrap sliced in half with like 2 tbl spoons of greek sallad. Really tiny. I didn’t get full nor satisfied. for the cost of $ 12 or something. I’d rather go have a chilli’s at Wendy’s for $ 2 – 3 which would fill me up much more, taste better, then what the meal did AND save me money. I don’t really feel like going back… I’d rather go get my all natural meal at whole foods. Our servant was nice, but I couldn’t help but to notice a couple of other servants standing around looking really lazy, shewing gum and eating at the front end, and another dude over accessorized in chains and baggy jeans slouching around, who the hell was he?! He looked so unprofessional… It annoyed me so much!

ehhhh… was very disappointed… nothing impressive about the food, and the service was just plain awful. The guy who took our order served us the wrong drinks(wasn’t worth the explanation to correct it) but we drank them anyways. served us our food and wasn’t seen again… what a mess!

Came here with a Groupon and was treated well, despite the fact. Still, I thought many of the menu items were a bit overpriced. It would help if Nanoosh was a sit-down spot like Panera or Cosi; that would offset the overpriced items. But because you have to pay tip on top of the fact that the items are overpriced, I don’t find this place to be very appealing. I definitely wouldn’t choose to eat here for full price. Also, I’ve definitely had better hummus… salad was fresh though.

The place was good, but not stupendous. But I still have to give it 4 stars compared to all the other crap that’s at the mall. Came here this weekend and the place seemed packed but we were seated right away. I couldn’t decide what to get but I finally chose the chicken hummus bowl. Chicken sauteed in onions and seasonings on top of a little bit of lettuce. Hummus was served next to it, along with tahini and I chose the quinoa side dish. Can’t lie… I was in HEAVEN. I was also ravenous by the time we got there so I know this wasn’t the best ever, but I enjoyed every bit. The hummus was flavorful and I actually liked that they gave you more tahini on the side. The chicken was cooked and prepared nicely and had a nice flavor. The quinoa salad was pretty awesome too. Slightly sweet with rasins and cranberries. I really enjoyed it. The bf had the chicken hummus wrap and said it was good. I secretly think I liked my dish a lot more than he did. Service was pretty dismal though. The waitress didn’t really help much when I was asking questions and never came by again to ask how things were or to refill our drinks. Overall though, I’ll definitely be back next time I’m shopping. Hands down beats anything else in the mall that’s quick. Plus 16 Handles is right across the way! Bonus!

Good not great. We went here with a «Groupon Now» on a Tuesday night. The place was half filled and it definitely beats being IN the food court but not the food itself. After spending two years in the middle east I find their take on middle eastern is lacking. Middle Eastern food is bold and flavorful. I didn’t find the soup(tomato) or the salads(Israeli/Mediterranean) to be indicative of this. However, I did enjoy the Nanoosh beef wrap I ate and the price I paid for it. Given that I was at the mall, I think the pricing was fair. I recommend the tabouli and the flavored teas. Warning: they say it’s lightly sweetened. I’d ask for a second cup with Ice and cut the drink with water. This is because ours was very sweet given its description. Service was fine and the waitress wrapped up leftovers with an additional side of tabouli after we mentioned our distaste for the Mediterranean salad. Good customer service.

Would not go back. Waitress had a major attitude(has something against 2 year olds?), food was unexciting, no refills on water, nobody checked on how we were doing, very tight quarters with loud music. Not authentic Mediterranean food although tasted good.

Was doing a little Christmas shopping this afternoon and decided to try Nanoosh because my friends and I wanted something healthy. My first thoughts upon walking in were that the staff was very friendly and the place was so cute and extremely clean. Now on to the food. Everything sounded so good so we decided to order a few things and share. We had the hummus mushroom plate, quinoa salad, and the Nanoosh salad with citrus dressing. We all agreed the hummus was the best we’ve ever tasted. It was so light and creamy and the mushroom onion topping was also good. I really like spicy food and they have two kinds of homemade hot sauce on the table that were so yummy with the hummus and pita. The quinoa salad was a huge portion and had a lot of flavor without being heavy. I love that there were dried cranberries In it. Last the salad was so fresh and light. We all loved the citrus dressing and the crunchy edamame. It was so much food we couldn’t finish it. We left full but not feeling gross like after a heavy meal. I will definitely come back again and both of my friemds agreed. Nanoosh is definitely a great addition to Garden State Plaza.

I tried Nanoosh this past weekend with a few friends. We all love hummus and wanted to give this place a try. Unlike the other restaurants at GSP, this place was not packed. The atmosphere is very clean and light… the chairs kind of hurt your ass after a little while, but the decorations are cute. The food at Nanoosh is not made to order… everything is prepared ahead of time. My friend’s husband wanted his hummus Nanoosh wrap without onions but the waitstaff told him that it was not possible since everything is already prepared and already mixed together. Hmmm… I got the mushroom hummus wrap in a bowl(you can order a wrap in a wrap or «naked»). It was a pretty small serving and the mushrooms tasted like they were from a can. The hummus was pretty good, though. They give you the tahini separately and we could not understand why. If you add too much, your hummus will turn into a very pasty consistency… go easy on it. The half-of-a-pita that comes with the hummus was thick and cold. It had a multigrain texture and it was very bready. I would have preferred just a plain pita. The quinoa was very good, albeit a very small side order. The good thing about Nanoosh is that we did not feel overly full upon leaving. We had plenty of room for frozen yogurt afterward, which is conveniently located right outside the door. I might come here again if I am looking for a healthy alternative to the food court, however, I would not go out of my way to come back here.

So I gave this place another shot. I got the Hummus with Tahini(when does hummus not come with tahini???) and I liked the hummus. They gave a good sized portion. The pita bread however was«bready». I prefer it to be thinner.

It definitely beats the food court and is a nice healthy alternative. The place is a nice size and it did not get overly crowded while we were there for lunch. Everyone is very friendly and the manager checked up on us. My mom and I split a large lentil soup and a nanoosh wrap. I loved the wrap! They have red and green sauces on the tables which I lathered on the wrap making it even more scrumptious. The soup was nice and thick. My sister had the hummus with sun dried tomato which was a large serving but at $ 9 I would expect it to be that size. I did not like the pita that came with the hummus because it was very thick and cold. I also had the pomegranate raspberry iced tea which was unsweetened and very refreshing with floating mint leaves on top. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would definitely come back if I was shopping at garden state but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. It will be a good choice when the CPK line is too long for that growling stomach.
