The chicharrón burrito was disappointing. I love chicharrones. But this burrito hardly had any. It was MOSTLY beans. I had to open it up and just eat the few pieces of chicharrón it had. My son ordered an asada burrito. After 3 bites he threw it away. Also didn’t have meat and mostly beans. Torta cubana was good. Not great. I’ve had better. Taco fundido was good. That’s why I’ll give it 2 starts. If I wouldn’t have tried my wife’s torta cubana it would’ve been 1 star.

I don’t really favor Mexican food restaurants but the Fish Tacos Fundidos with extra avocado are Amazing!!! And if I am in the mood for a torta I always get the Cubana. One of the rare times I make an exception for pork… It has ham. This hole in the wall restaurant is the best. Most of its core customers don’t use Unilocal… Thats the only reason it does not have 5 stars. Everytime I meet somebody that lives relatively near this area they are familiar with the restaurant and know its a great place to eat.

A big part of their menu is not so great. The only thing I liked were the tacos fundidos. They are unique and taste great. The tortas had very little meat and the flavor was not great either. I also tried the huaraches and was disappointed because it was dripping in cooking oil and the taste was very bland. Furthermore, the workers are not to friendly at all. The only reason I would return is for the tacos fundidos.

This is the mecca of hole in the wall restaurants! Got the torta ahogada with mushroom cream sauce and an order of potato tacos! Holy shit! They were amazing! My sister got a carne asada taco that looked amazing. The red salsa is so on point! And they have a wide selection of refreshing Aguas frescas. Ps. Peep the aztec art pieces in the back of the restaurant, dope af!

The location of this little place is very tricky. I had to make a u-turn when I tried to exit the parking lot. It also took several minutes to make a safe and clear exit because three cars were stuck in both directions. In regards to the food, I ordered two carne asada tortas and an horchata. I was so disappointed with the meat because they do not chopp it up. Also, the meat was very thin as I felt I was eating a veggie torta. I really wanted to like this place, but it’s a SKIP for me.

It’s alright. Pretty dirty around the cooking area and beans looks all dried up inside that warmer

Was driving by when this place caught our eye. We went inside and attempted to decide on something to order. The employee there recommended their Cubana Torta, saying its their most popular item. We decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. It was so good! Definitely give this place a try if you haven’t already. The food was also prepared quickly, it probably took about 3 – 5 minutes to receive our food(3 tortas). We’re definitely coming back!

Thier tacos fundidos are off the chain! It’s not a quesadilla filled with meat, it’s more like a quesadillas used as a tortilla.

Needed to kill some time… Felt kinda hungry so I decided to try this hole in the wall spot. Ordered the Torta Cubana drowned in cream of mushroom with an Horchata. Wasn’t the best torta I’ve ever had but definitely wasn’t the worst… A good place to try something new if you’re in a hurry.

Thank you all for the very nice comments. My dad took over this restaurant from my uncle in 2000. Since then he has been working very hard to keep up with the business. Thankfully people like YOU all come and eat and for the most part enjoy this restaurant. We have significantly changed our menu items with real pictures, and have added new menu items. We constantly are trying to add new things according to what the people want and buy most of. Please keep posting good and bad comments(hopefully there are not a lot of bad ones) as myself and my sisters always relay the messages to my dad. In case you didn’t know my dads name is Francisco and he is always very friendly. Sometimes he is so busy he could come by as rude. But that is not my dad at all. He thanks all of you who take the time out of your day and stop by. Thanks again for reading this. Anthony

You can get a most delicious veggie torta ahogada here, just like in Guadalajara, made with queso panela and everything. I’m in heaven. Not however, for the faint of heart; sometimes they actually make me cry.

My favorite mexican food place in Paramount. The tortas here are delicious, especially the torta milanesa with ahogadas sauce. I also like the fish torta and frequently get the super tacos with guacamole. The steak rancheros here is also quite nice. And while you’re waiting, there are 3 arcade machines here: a street fighter 3 one, a multi-game neo geo cabinet, and a sit down pac-man machine.

The torta de pollo is delicious! Nicely grilled chunks of chicken, cheese, chile curtido, creamy avocados, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, all good. The bread was nicely toast as well. Pretty good service too.

I used to work near this place and it was a frequent lunch spot. I have since moved on, but still make the drive every once in a while to come here, hence the 5 stars. I don’t normally drive miles just for a restaurant. My typical fare is the Carne asada con habanera, but my friends have tried others on the menu all to their liking. The habanera is really hot but with good flavor. What I like; the asada is in one piece not just chopped up left overs, The cheese is a good queso fresco, a nice amount of avocado, and the bread is really good. I’ve tried many tortas(in Baja and locally) looking for the best and I believe they have it here.

It’s not often that I issue one star reviews. This place is one of them. I sometimes drive past this place and again I blame my curiousity. I’m embarassed to say my choice once again failed me. It’s located inside of a small strip mall across from 99 Cents Only store and next door to La Pizza Loca. Walk in and the signs on the wall are all hand written. Good guest service doesn’t exist here. I ordered the carnitas torta. Comes with mayo, lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, cheese and carnitas. First the bread was burned. Then the carnitas didn’t taste like carnitas. Seriously. I ended up pulling the bread apart from the lettuce, tomatoes and everything else. I actually discovered beans in there, too. Too bad they had no flavor. Not sure of what I was eating. It just didn’t taste like a true torta. This place is an embarassment. On my way out I saw a sign for the Best Philly Cheese Steaks in Town. Yeah, I’ll pass.
