Great beer selection. I go there mainly for the Tired Hands local brew, and the fantastic burgers and pub food. Never disappoints.

While not close, this place is a go-to for good food and always a GREAT selection of craft beers. There are 2 distinct dining areas — one sports-bar-like(large TV’s, noisier), the other more appropriate for families and quiet conversation. Staff is attentive & knowledgeable. I LOVE that they keep their beer list up-to-the-minute on their website and use twitter whenever something kicks and lists what replaces it. This trip there were 4 of us so, since we share, we tried lots on the menu– appetizers, entrees, & desserts. ALL were freshly prepared, promptly served, and delicious. BTW, we DID get a booth at a busy time by making a reservation(usually not necessary).

Good selection of beer. Menu is a step or 2 above regular bar food. Everything tasted good. Service was about average.

I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect qualities of my salad. Ripe tomatoes and fresh greens were a healthy choice I didn’t expect from this pub. The sweet potato fries and dip were amazing. Nice lunch!

Excellent draft selection, including lots of different ales. The sweet potato fries are the best I’ve had — although my wife dissents. Good food, good beer, good place — I only wish it were a bit closer to home.

TJ’s is a true jewel in our community. They really want you to have nice experience. They should do the hiring for all restaurants– the staff is always kindly and well… lovely…frankly. Anyone wanting to start a restaurant should hang out in there to see how it’s done. Great selection of beer! Makes it so fun! It’s a cozy, respectful drinkery that relies on very fresh ingredients– simple, delicious pub style foods. Some with a zing. It is always clean. Great energy in there. Hazelnut ganache chocolate pie is very worth the calories. Even the crust is delicious on that. The patrons are always mannerly too. must be the good good good .good vibrations… : D Thanks TJ’s for providing this great place in our town-you’re really exceptional. Only con? The only thing I would improve… more light in the restrooms please.

They have a large beer selection and overall it’s a clean environment. I appreciate the $ 10 coupon they send every year on our birthdays! The one complaint I have is their lack of bathrooms. What restaurant/bar only has one bathroom for women and one for men? Also, there is no changing station in either bathroom which makes it hard on parents.

I was traveling for business and looking for something local and stumbled upon this place. LOVEDIT! So I had the Roast Beef Hot Brown(I think that is what it was called). GLORIOUS! Seriously unique and amazing and so decadent! I will most likely come back on another trip.

this is one of my go-to places because… 1. wait usually isn’t too long and you can make reservations but we never do. 2. amazing beer list. always. the have probably 20+ different beers on tap at any given time and they change often. just like Teresa’s next door in Wayne, I’ve had beers here that I’ve never seen anywhere else but they also are big supporters of local breweries as well so you get a good mix of foreign and domestic. 3. bar is large with several tables so if you can’t get seated at a table right away, you may, at the very least, be able to grab a beer and hang or, at best, be able to sit in the bar. 4. food is GOOD, really food, for bar food. Take bar classics and add a little spice and creativity and you have tj’s menu. the pretzel app with beer cheese(& jalapeños!) is delicious. the guacamole is pretty good. the sweet potato fries are probably my favorite sweet potato fries ever and the Korean BBQ wings are one of my all-time favorite foods. entrees are equally as good– my sister always gets the chicken mac n cheese dish, I love the BLTC&E and the hangover burger. the tacos are all delicious. I’ve had a couple salads and they’re great too! the also always have specials and recently they had my most favorite special dish to date: pork shoulder chili and corn bread waffles or something like that and it was incredible. 5. staff is friendly, helpful and courteous 9⁄10 times. we have been her probably upwards of 15 times and we have rarely, if ever, encountered a bad server.

Went in for dinner with husband and son. Asked for a booth and I was told that there was an hour wait for normal seating and they refused to seat us in the bar as my son was with us. First and last time going!!! Went to Great American Pub instead and had a great dinner.

Been going to TJ’s for years since moving to the area. Always had great service in the dining area and at the bar. Beer selection and turn over is outstanding but food is just OK. There are a few«safe» items on the menu. One of the main reasons for writing this review is that my family and I were turned away on Saturday night because we didn’t have a reservation. The bar area was half full and we were the only folks that would have been in the«waiting» area. It looked like there were a few empty tables in the dining room. The hostess was very nice and told us we’d have an hour wait. I was pretty taken aback by the fact that there were no people waiting to be seated, a few were tables were empty, the bar was half full and yet there was a hour wait. It just didn’t make sense from a business standpoint. If that’s the new business model good luck with that. What happens if reservations don’t show and you’re turning away walk-ins? Ended up going to the new Smash Burger in Malvern which was absolutely terrible. Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with TJ’s and the way the situation was handled.

Been going here for a while. Very good food, Specials rotate weekly, always something new on the menu. Some items are a little too exotic for me, but there are still plenty of good options. I have not had anything bad from the kitchen. Free Bingo and Trivia on Tuesday & Thursday, with prizes of gift certificates, can’t go wrong there.

The reviews made me want to try this place. Today’s lesson: Don’t trust everything you read on the Internet. For the past few months I have been working on losing some weight. I’m down about 50 pounds and really feeling good. I allow myself to cheat 1 or 2 times a week and eat something that isn’t too healthy. I try really hard to watch my calories and when I cheat I want the food I am putting into my mouth to taste like I am cheating with something that isn’t too healthy lol. I read the reviews that other Unilocaler’s wrote about TJ’s and I looked at the pictures, and I thought this would be a good spot to try since I was in the neighborhood. What a waste of calories… :( I’ve never really gotten mad at reviews before. I never got mad at bad food either. This time was different though. I was pissed. What are some of you thinking with the high ratings you gave the food? I’m lost right now. I really don’t understand. The menu has some creative foods on it. It seems as though they are trying too hard. I’m completely disappointed with what I received here. The pictures I saw were very deceiving. They looked tasty. I ordered what I ordered because of the pictures(and reviews) because they looked decent. WRONG! Stout and Onion Soup — Crostini, smoked mozzarella, shaved parmesan(see picture) $ 6.25. This was probably the best out of everything I had, although it doesn’t mean it was great. It was a basic onion soup. It was hot. It had some onions, bread, and cheese in it. In my opinion, there was no way near enough cheese or onions. Nothing about this was worth the money I spent. Bangin’ Shrimp — crispy fried salt and pepper shrimp, hoisin sauce, sriracha-kewpie sauce, sliced almonds, cilantro(see picture) $ 11.75. I don’t know what they were trying to accomplish with these, and I seriously don’t know how they have good reviews. They were dry and had zero flavor. I don’t know what was going on with the outside. Probably the worst shrimp I have ever had, and I have had lots in my lifetime. Pictures are deceiving. Korean Boneless Wings — sweet and spicy gochujang sauce, house blue cheese, celery(see picture) $ 10.00. Another fail. Way too much breading and barely enough chicken. Dry. Weird flavor. It had a weird taste to it. I asked for a side of sriracha sauce to help me put these down, but it was still a struggle. The blue cheese also had a very weird taste. It was kinda sour. Did not taste like blue cheese to me. The only two things I liked from this dish was the celery and the fact that I didn’t have any more to eat. My server was very nice and helpful. He was great at his job and timely with everything. Did you ever eat something horrible but not want to tell the server because they were so nice to you? That is how I felt. He asked me how everything was and I had to lie. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings. Bottom line: Great service, horrible food. Go somewhere else.

Can’t say enough about this place. I attended a birthday dinner for my friend’s son a Sunday after church. About 10 adults and 5 young children. We split the cheese fries and chorizo nachos for the table. Both were fantastic, especially the cheese fries. Seriously delicious. I ordered the Boar Chorizo Tacos. They were served with guac and tortilla chips. The tacos came out hot and were very very good. I would definitely order them again, but I can’t recommend the tortilla chips that were served on the side. They were very crunchy and far too thick. Order something else for the side. The guac was great as well. The overall experience and the wait staff was FANTASTIC. I don’t have kids myself but I’m always mindful of the way a restaurant treats my friends’ children. Our waiter was patient and kind when interacting with the kids(and even laughed at their jokes!) and excellent about refilling drinks and taking orders. High chairs, kids menus, and kid-sized drinks and apps were readily available. This place is fantastic whether you are grabbing beers and apps after work or whether you are looking to have dinner as a family. I will definitely be coming back!

O.M.Goodness. The hangover burger could easily be called the Heart Attack burger. If you are ravenously hungry and have lipitor on hand, then try it. I ate ½(and a side salad instead of fries) and I need a nap.\ Perfectly cooked burger on a brioche bun with bacon, cheddar cheese and a fried egg. My diet has been calorie bombed! Took the other half home. So good. So bad. So good.

Great food, great service, great beer. Wish I lived a little closer, I’d be here all the time. Update: the rotating draft picks are quite impressive and there’s always a really nice selection with a number of deep cuts that you might not stumble upon elsewhere. I’m a big fan of the dishes with the boar, it has a lot of flavor and manages to go well with a lot of the beer imo. Stop in!

Food is good. Water was constantly refilled. Lots of beer choices. Service was friendly. Mac and cheese with grilled chicken — creamy, cheesy, delicious. Spicy chicken and waffle — cornbread waffle is so good. The chicken was alright. It becomes a little too sweet after awhile.
