I like this store! I’ve only read about Winn Dixie before because they don’t have them where I live. I like how many different specialty areas they had. Such as the extensive bakery and deli sections.

They are clean, decent meat and seafood section. I am always shocked when places don’t have indigenous produce and seafood. I guess that’s the way chains run, but there are so many produce stands and seafood markets, I just bought beef, chicken and dairy products. Too many options from local places to settle for their limited selection. Nice, helpful staff, plenty of cashiers.

I shop at this Winn-Dixie all the time as it is the closest place to my house for groceries. I’ve always had awesome service except for the past two times. I must also note that they do not have the same manager they did and I suspect that is why the service has gone to s*hit. First, I had came in feeling fine but my blood sugar started to drop and I needed something to munch on while I shopped so I wouldn’t faint and knock out my teeth out like the last time I fainted on a hard floor. So I go to the deli where they will let you pick some hot or cold items that they’ve already priced up so when you get to the register, whether the bag is empty or not, they can still charge you for what you got [and ate]. As soon as I approached the counter the woman behind it paid me no attention. For over 5 minutes, until a guy who was working on the cooler asks me what he can help me with [remember; this is NOT his job. he was there to fix the cooler] and I said that I was waiting on someone to help me out. He called for the woman who had just darted behind the meat slicer in the back. When she came out she explained to me that she could’t help me because AND I QUOTE«I am waiting on a customer to finish shopping before I can help you.» WTF? How and why did she have to wait for a customer to finish shopping to ring me up ONE item before I fainted or puked on her shoes? The repair man looked up at me after she said that and said himself«Did I just hear that correctly? What the? That is wrong. If I could help you I would but I am only here to fix the refrigerator.» Alright, cool. You’re here to fix something and can’t help, that’s cool. But the ONLY person behind the counter kept telling me she couldn’t help me because SHEWASWAITINGONSOMEONETOFINISHSHOPPING. Huh??? Horrible horrible customer service to a degree I am astonished at. And don’t get me started on the«children» who were minding the cash register while I was checking out. The whole time all they did was talk to one another. About 15 – 16 years old I can understand you only want a job for money but other people actually have lives to live and things to do besides listening to the cashier and the bag-boy chatter about everything BUT what was going on around them. She had to ask me 3 times what my card number was because she couldn’t stop talking to her bag boy. I gave her my card those 3 times and when she was finally done and I thought had a clear head she asked to see my card again to check my I.D. Which I had already shown her to buy the beer she rang up 5 seconds earlier. This Winn-Dixie has gone to S**T.

When it comes to firing up the grill its not happening first without a trip to Winn Dixie. They for sure have the best prices on there meats and are always running buy one get one free specials on there pork chops, chicken great and racks of ribs, and you can’t beat that! Now when it comes to everything else unless its on sale or bogo here ill usually go else where. Overall its a nice clean and well laid out store with lots of variety.

This location has recently been renovated. It has really been cleaned up. Don’t forget your Winn Dixie customer card(it’s free!). If you shop there without the card, you will get ripped off! They’ve recently reduced the price of their rotisserie chicken. Now it’s just under $ 5, which is about the same price as Sam’s Club.(Sam’s Club is still less expensive for other items, like milk and eggs)
