We love not only Sue’s the restaurant but Sue as well. She is passionate about her food and it shows. Always fresh, homemade and delicious. It’s all good but my favorites are the open faced roast beef and the old classic Shrimp J Michael«Old Style».

We love dining here. The food is unique. We were sad to hear that they are no longer serving raw oysters. We’ll still be back though! Lots of other great items on the menu!

Had dinner there last night, a nice little quaint place, friendly and have to say great service, had the ugly dip, was awesome. For dinner had the best open faced roast beef sandwich I have ever eaten, covered with mushrooms. Onions, gravy, Moz. Cheese, it was so good. Very reasonable prices as well

On the way to wherever it was I was going, Sue’s appeared on my Unilocal map as a well reviewed restaurant that was still open and so here we landed. I was the last customer to come in and by the time I finished my meal, they were already flipping chairs over onto the tables to clean up for the night. I was assured that I did not need to rush. As if. I got the cheese baked oysters to start. Oh, my. They were heavenly. Very tasty, very cheesy, and the garlic bread soaked up the bits that my spoon couldn’t get. Wow. HAVETHIS! For main, I went with the Grouper Nouveau. I very nice sized filet, topped with onions and mushrooms and peppers. Very good. I had the cucumber salad and the gouda cheese grits. Sadly, the cheese grits had no cheesy flavor at all. Rather bland really. But cooked well for sure. Overall, a very tasty meal. Great service from Carol. Thank you!

I ordered sue’s oyster for appetizer, hamburger steak and seafood platter for entry. Seafood platter was okay, but the oyster was so bad. It smelled so bad and also waitress service was terrible. We ordered one appetizer, she brought two plates and was telling how we ordered two which we did not. She fianlly admitted that she was wrong, didnt even say sorry just took one plate out from us. She never had smile on her face, and i saw her talking to other waitress shit about us. worst service ever but she still tried hard to get her tip at the end it was funny.

Good old fashion, stick to your ribs country cooking. That’s exactly what you get from Sue’s. And — on top of some super tasty food — you get amazing service. I mean first class southern hospitality at its finest. The interesting piece about the food at Sue’s is the eclectic mix of Creole cooking with southern comfort food. We ordered an assortment of Cajun and southern dishes and all found ourselves licking the bowl on the seafood gumbo and the crawfish dishes. Although the food is really delicious, most of all — I can’t speak highly enough of the southern hospitality. I felt like I was the most important person in the restaurant and the staff went out of their way to make our meal really enjoyable.

Great home cooked food. If you want the specials make sure you get in an order early or else you will be stuck with one of their normal menu masterpieces. J Michael Grouper was buttery and tasty. Shrimp and grouda cheese grits was very good also. Cheese baked oysters were a sky rocket inflight. Wanted the chicken and sausage jambalaya but I missed out and had a very good burger with homemade onion rings and fried okra. 8 of us ate here and we all were very satisfied with the southern home cooking.

Sues is right down the road from the house the Mrs and I are buying and so we thought we’d give them a try. Arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday in early June. She ordered the grouper creole for $ 27.95 with a side of grits while I opted for the fried oysters platter with coleslaw and grilled cabbage for sides($ 16.95). The fried oysters were excellent. They weren’t huge oysters but were very tasty and the portion was good size. Coleslaw was homemade and fresh. The grouper creole was served on a bed of rice and was very good. The Mrs said that her gouda grits were awesome. Service was very fast and friendly. Not crowded. We’ll be back.

Went for lunch on a Tuesday. My BF had the fried shrimp platter and I had the vegetables: cabbage, squash, fried sweet potatoes. He also ordered the Bodi balls as an appetizer. All were fresh but not a cheap place to eat, but food was good. Typical of southern cooking, they like their black pepper.

Small and quaint. Friendly staff and the boudin balls are worth going for. This place seems like a cross between a tiny oyster bar and restaurant almost as if it can’t decide what it wants to be, but that’s quite okay with me. That’s kind of how a lot of restaurants on the Gulf Coast were before the chain restaurants came in. I have no problem with the chains, but it is nice to go somewhere that’s got some local personality. This place is akin to the popular J. Michaels restaurant but, as far as I know, under independent management. Not really a place I go all the time, but I always go back when the mood strikes me.

Absolutely one of the best local places to eat! The fabulous fish sandwich is outstanding! Matter of fact, everything I’ve ever had was wonderful. Super nice staff, reasonable prices and on point food. The daily specials are always fresh from soups, sandwiches and veggies to fresh seafood and everything in between! Sue’s is the place!!!

We went late at night on a Sunday We started with a doz fresh oysters, which were very good We looked over the menu which has a lot of variety from appetizers, soups, salads, baskets, dinners, and sandwiches. We finally decided on the burger, which is a ½ pound burger cooked to order and it comes with fries or chips Our burgers were cooked perfectly and very flavorful and juicy. We will go back to sample more menu items and dessert. I would recommend them to everyone and the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.

Food is excellent and reasonably priced. We chose this restaurant due to the ability of having several different Cajun dishes Their special that evening was chicken & sausage jambalaya which my husband had. I had the shrimp J Michael(old style). For starters we had the boudi balls We split a cup of the red rice and beans as well as the frozen chocolate mousse pie. The meal came with garlic bread which was also excellent Go early because it does get crowded. The wait staff are super and anxious to please
