I finally stopped in after hearing how wonderful it was from other folks I know. I ordered Lumpia as well as the Pancit(rice noodles) and was very pleased with the quality. I did wait just a few minutes but that is to be expected when your food is served hot and fresh. He assured me that if I called ahead next time, it would be ready when I got there.

Excellent and fast service. Absolutely awesome Phillpino food. Everything cooked to perfection. Great for picking up dinner for the family when you don’t want to cook, or for a ballgame, etc.

This was my 1st time ordering food here. We were all very pleased with our meals. I called in the order and it was ready 10 minutes later. The food was hot and freshly prepared. The menu is small and it is only for pick up but well worth it. Everything we ate was delicious, pork pancit, pork adobo and pork tocino and lumpia. We will be back to try more.

A necessary preface: I have never had Filipino food of any sort before visiting Manila to Go. That said, I think this is a great addition to Panama City and especially the eateries available to downtown workers. I think they could improve certain things to make the storefront more inviting(ex: currently the order window is also where drive-thru customers in theory pick up their purchases) but I’d definitely recommend at least trying this restaurant. It took me a while to decide whether I was going to try this restaurant, both because it was an unfamiliar ethnic cuisine and because of its unfortunate proximity to the Rescue Mission and therefore the possibility of a run-in with people from Panama City’s large transient population. I’ve been twice, as I said, without any problems(ok, a guy offered me a car wash, but he was very polite and looked like he did it for a living, so I’m not going to get upset about that) while waiting for my order. Expect to spend around $ 10 for a meal here. I have only ever ordered main dishes, which cost around $ 8, but if you want lumpia/spring rolls and a drink you will be looking at at least $ 10 for one person. Fortunately portions are generous so just a main dish will do you. The owner/order-taker is very polite and helpful, and gave me some lumpia(very thin«egg-roll» type things which are quite tasty), and normally offers a half-order of four lumpia for $ 4.99. I think they should consider offering maybe 2 – 3 lumpia and a soda as a combo for an extra $ 2.50 or something. The two dishes I’ve tried are pancit and lechon kawali. The pancit was a safe choice — chicken or pork with noodles and veggies. The pork I chose could have been more flavorful/bigger, but the portion was super-filling and the noodles and veggies were great. I’d order this again. I got bolder on my second visit and got the lechon kawali, which is like deep-fried pork belly. I don’t normally do belly or offal or anything, so I was skeptical, but it seems to be a popular item. The chunks of meat were served with a nice big portion of rice, dinner rolls, and a dipping sauce for the meat. It was good enough I’d get it again, but felt pretty unhealthy(duh) and tasted a little like pork fatback cracklin’ — which I happen to like — and was juicy and delicious with the dipping sauce. As the name suggests, this is a take-out joint. There’s a picnic table, but I wouldn’t really want to eat in. Again, service is friendly, prices are reasonable, and you can call ahead for faster service. They also offer daily special dishes you can’t get the other days of the week, which I believe you can see in the menu pictures already on Unilocal. Bottom-line: Anytime a new cuisine comes to Panama City there’s a risk it won’t make it. Appetites are not refined around here, let’s say, but Manila to Go is a welcome addition with a new but accessible cuisine I think you should check out for yourself. Oh, and they do take credit cards.

The pork adobo here is one of the most succulent dishes I’ve ever tasted. The meat is so tender it just falls apart with the slight push of a plastic fork! Will eat here again, and often.

We were visiting the city and saw this place and guess what? We all ate outside and had a great time. Met the owner and coincidentally enough, he was from our province of pampanga… best food in town…

Found this place by surprise when driving down business 98! It’s a small little shack but the owner js very nice. So happy to have found a filipino restaurant being that I am also filipino and homesick lol. Would rate 5 stars if their menu was bigger but still, this place is great. Lumpia is awesome and the pork bbq

Found this place while driving on 98. We were so happy to find this place where we can get some awesome Filipino food. We ordered the Lechon Kawali which was so crispy, just the way we like it. Also, ordered the lumpia and it was good. Most definitely will be back to try out the other dishes!
