We came here with a small group of friends on a Saturday night. We’ve eaten at a Fin’s before in the past, and it was good. So, we decided to try a look again. This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. It was a little busy, but I was not prepared for how slow the service was going to be. They must have sloths for sushi chefs. Friendly, but super slow. The dining area was dim & casual. The atmosphere would have been great if it wasn’t for the flickering light driving me bonkers. It was like having intermittent strobe light above our table throughout our meal. Food was good, but pricy. We ordered a slew of different rolls. I don’t remember what all we ordered, but everything we had, I would order again. It wasn’t the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it was pretty good. They could have potentially earned 4 stars, but the super slow service really hurt them in this review. Our server was overloaded, and management should have been on top of that.

I’ve been here twice and the food has been excellent both times. I have only had the sushi rolls but they were so good I don’t want anything else! Very creative and elaborate rolls with quality ingredients. Waiter was polite and attentive. I will definitely be back!

Love this sushi place! I usually eat mostly sashimi. You can’t hide quality of fish in a roll. This place excels!!! The sushi chef who works everyday but Monday is experienced and truly provides the beautiful art sushi should have. I just moved here in June of 2015 this was the first sushi place I went, was so lucky to find the best sushi in Panama City and pcb, as I have tried others since moving here. All portions are generous and the chef will gladly create anything for you. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the servers, very slow to respond even when there are only a couple of tables occupied. I always sit as sushi bar and ask the chef to request my drink refills, which he gets for you promptly. Thank you Fin’s for great food and a superb chef!!!

We look forward to dining at Fins whenever we are in Panama City. The Volcano roll is a gastronomic delight, arriving at the table on fire. The shopping center where the restaurant is located is misleading as to the décor inside. Wonderful prices at lunch, too.

I sat at the sushi bar and got excellent service, especially from the wakiita(chefs making the sushi). Great sushi and quiet atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.

For some reason if there are three tables or if this place is packed, the service is usually always poor. They will put the menus on the table they want you to sit at and usually walk away. It takes awhile for them to come back to ask what you want to drink. And don’t expect refills. The food is pretty decent though. The crazy crunchy shrimp roll is a great roll if you don’t like raw fish. The tri spicy tuna is great if you do like raw fish.

It only gets better every time, I always get a diamond roll and house soup but try to order a second roll I haven’t had lately or to try sow thing new. I hear the spicy seafood miso is delicious as well

Went for lunch while working in Panama City. I was pleasantly surprised I had the Lady Gaga roll it was delicious and the staff was nice. They had as a special jelly fish salad but I wasn’t brave enough to try it maybe next time. Had the soft shell crab appetizer I would skip this it was over coated and over cooked couldn’t taste the crab at all.

Service was great, atmosphere was good considering it is in a strip mall. Sushi was good, hit the spot for a sushi craving! Will go back to try out the rest of menu. The Yummy Yummy roll lived up to its name!

Horrible service, mediocre sushi. Once seated we waited more than 5 minutes just to get out drink order. Once we received our drinks it was probably another 15 minutes before we placed our sushi order. I could understand if it was busy but there was only one other table. I would even look pass the service of the food was good but the sushi didn’t taste fresh. I’ll never go again, and after hearing reviews from friends I realized my experience was the norm.

Lunch stop on a drive to Panama City and read good reviews. Very quiet when we arrived around 12:30pm on a Saturday with two other parties there. Orders rainbow roll and chicken teriyaki bento. Enjoyed the rainbow roll. Super fresh at an affordable price. The bento box came with miso soup– nothing special. The bento box has two pieces of California roll, two gyozas, salad with ginger dressing, and chicken teriyaki with fried rice(I prefer white rice but that’s just personal taste). I loved it all but the gyoza which was so crunchy and dried. The dining experience was a little uncomfortable since the two waitresses seemed bored and stared at the customers.

The atmosphere is nice and clean. Not to far away from the beach. Ok, here is my review. Overall I’m going to give them 3 stars. I eat sushi a lot. For the price the sushi is good. I expected a little more freshness due to being so close to the ocean. This sushi is similar to what you would get in Nevada. Very nice staff. In the area you could find something fresher but the sushi was good.

My first time visiting and we did the lunch sushi special which is a great deal! 3 rolls for $ 10 or 2 for $ 7 until 3:30, comes with a soup! Really good miso soup! Will be visiting again.

At Fin’s, the people are a major part of the vibe that make it stand out. Our server was super helpful, offered suggestions, and even showed us some off-the-menu rolls that pop up on their weekly specials. The sushi rocked. It was fresh, had perfect temperature and texture, and was skillfully assembled. Our table ordered The Ninja, Imperial Dragon, Spicy Tuna, Alaska, and California rolls… and all kicked butt. We had the seaweed salad, too, and it was just right – crispy and well-seasoned. The house soup(clear onion broth with mushrooms) and the standard white miso were also hot and tasty. BONUS! One of our family members has anaphylactic allergies to dairy and tree nuts. This makes trips to most restaurants a «bring your own meal» affair for her. Fin’s was a very welcome exception… the management and our server were able to clearly explain that they would use fresh utensils, prepare her sushi separately, and take note of her allergies. We enjoyed our meal with zero issues. Fin’s is a win, and we were all really stoked to find a place like it so close to home. (DISCLAIMER: If you(or your child) have severe food allergies, any trip to a restaurant carries with it some level of risk. Regardless of how awesome a restaurant is, and how careful the staff are, there is REAL risk in eating food prepared outside of your own kitchen. I accept this every time I allow my daughter to order a meal when we eat out, based on how comfortable I am with the staff. We’ve found out the hard way how important it is to ask the server and manager(or sometimes, the cook) critical questions, always bring two epi-pens, and be prepared to take action in the event of an anaphylactic reaction.)
