This place was pretty good before, but it’s definitely not the same quality. My husband and I just had take out breakfast and everything about it was bad. The eggs were under cooked and had a taste like they were cooked on a dirty grill. The biscuits and gravy had an awful strange taste. It was so bad we didn’t eat it and took it back to get a refund. If you can’t even make eggs and hash browns edible you will probably not succeed as a breakfast restaurant. We will not be returning.

Went there with my wife and daughter on a Sunday morning. The informal nature of the experience was fine. Nice waitress, clean enough. However the hostess was a bit condescending after the kitchen or the waitress processed our order incorrectly. All in all, anyone can have a bad day, but she seemed genuinely annoyed to have to get involved. The pancakes were good, however the sausage(a side order was necessary as the pancakes are all ala carte) was a complete disappointment. They looked appetizing but were greasy and apparently made almost completely of fat. I really didn’t expect high quality meaty, well seasoned home made sausage, but these were no where to close to average. While I’m sure these are purchased from a supplier for quick preparation it is obvious these have to be the lowest quality choice from that supplier. In my order I received(3) links. You would have to taste them yourself to understand. I couldn’t finish these. I consumed one and that was sufficient to discourage my continuing. They were really very fatty. The cost of(1) short stack,(1) regular stack with sausage and(1) stuffed French toast with coffee, orange juice and milk was $ 40. Acceptable if the food and service are good. I may give this place another try at some point, but right now its off my list of descent restaurants. The poor quality of one of the keystones of any pancake house, its sausage, and the attitude of the hostess are enough to ignore the convenient location, as I live in Palos, From now on I’ll drive to Orland Park where the range of options are better as undoubtedly is the food /service.

We love this restaurant! We recently went there and it has quickly become our go-to breakfast place. Very generous portions and great prices! Our kids love the very friendly staff as well!

The new owner is great! The food is fresh and good! I mostly get omelettes, but have been with people who have gotten other dishes. The sausages and pancakes look delicious and the soup is great. They are very accommodating as well! I highly recommend taking a trip — you will like it!

Second visit to this neighborhood spot tucked off 107th and Roberts Road. As a lifelong Southsider, I’m used to small, family owned, dineresque places, so my first visit was par for the course — décor was a little dated, lighting was a little low, food was good enough, and price was great. Welp, there’s a new owner at Palos Hills Pancake House and she’s making all the right changes! Brighter space, welcoming atmosphere, flavorful dishes — the only thing she hasn’t changed are the generous portion sizes and very reasonable prices. And while PH Pancake House has a new owner, it doesn’t feel that way — I saw several customers come and go during my breakfast, and all were greeted with familiarity and a smile. One patron didn’t even have to say his order, they knew it from memory! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at the changes at this Palos Hills staple. The team here knocks it out of the park, and I definitely recommend it. Whether you’re a local family, hungry worker, or weary traveler, stop in and support Kris and the new Palos Hills Pancake House!

This place was always great with the original owners Omar and Sam. The food was perfect and they had great food portions. I always order the French toast special because it was my favorite. The menu also was shortened and there aren’t as many options. Last week I went in and ordered as I usually do and I was upset to find out Omar sold the business. It all went downhill after that. I ordered my French toast special to only receive 3 pieces of French toast instead of the four that is usually pictured on the card on the table. Not only was I underserved but it was almost burnt. The scrambles eggs were runny, but the hash browns were good though. The new owner didn’t seem too friendly or excited to be there, but the waitresses there are the sweetest.

First time here and it was a great experience! My girl friend and I will definitely be back on the regular. Menu is simple, but has all the breakfast favorites. The food tastes amazing, and portions are perfect! The best part however was the service! Everyone was so friendly, and they make you feel like family. We highly recommend this place! We were told its under new ownership, and hope they continue to succeed.

Food is great but when ordering for take out give it 30 minutes. I ordered this morning and was told 15 minutes, I picked up 20 min later and my order was just starting to be made. Of course I am late for an event now that it took 35 minutes.

My fiancé and I didn’t know about this place until we made a wrong turn into the little strip mall it’s in. It’s small, like a ma and pop type of place. As soon as we walked in we were happily greeted by the host and a few waitresses. Most places treat you like you’re an inconvenience so this was a pleasant surprise. Overall the food was really good and our waitress, though you could tell she was new, was nice and efficient. She was a little pushy about us giving the restaurant a good review, slightly annoying. The place is kind of expensive for it being so small. 2 coffees was almost $ 6. Overall, it was a good experience but we’re not sure if we would go again simply because of how pricey it is.

Just discovered this hidden gem when I was looking for breakfast and had a break between classes. I’ve been here the past three days because it is so good!!! There menu has such a variety and the food comes out quick & is delicious. Owner is very nice and really cares about his customers and makes sure your dining experience is great. $ 4.99 for two egg, two French toast, and two strips of bacon! Can’t beat that!

The pH2 was packed wall-to-wall Sunday morning with everyone trying to get their breakfast on. This establishment is slightly smaller than initially expected, but they kept churning out guests as quickly as they could and after a short wait we were seated. Me and my friends all enjoyed our food there, the skillets were made with skill and the pancakes were pan-tastic! I do regret spending my bacon on their bacon as it was nothing that great. If I was only rating their bacon this place would get 1 star. Thankfully they have much more to offer than mediocre bacon, the pH2 deserves a friendly pat/rub on the back for their hard work and quality food.

First time visiting this establishment with a group of friends. It was my suggestion for a group breakfast Sunday outing, so I was very attentive to the quality of our visit. The first thing we noticed is the host/manager that greeted us at the door immediately said«We are understaffed today, because my son dissed me.» This was a bit of a confusing start. Despite the obvious scrambling around to cover for the understaffing, I thought the servers did a decent job covering for it and they were definitely trying and hustling. My favorite staff member was a hybrid busboy/server gentlemen who made a couple jokes and gave a nice friendly touch on the back to at least three members of our party. It’s not every day you find this kind of comfort and forwardness in a pancake house. The food was definitely very good. Our table ordered a variety of skillets and pancakes, and there were no complaints from the group. I thought my food, a Hobo Skillet, was quite excellent. I also noted the bread used for the wheat toast was very tasty and sturdy enough to withstand an aggressive jelly spreading. The rest of our group reviewed their food with a range from«good» to «very good.» I personally saw at least three or four other items on the menu I’d like to try in the future, and the pancakes served to our table looked very appetizing. One minor quibble, the butter and cream were placed too close to each other on the table. Don’t want anyone getting a buttery cup of joe! Overall, the rating has a chance to be bumped up to 4 stars, as I think another visit when the restaurant isn’t understaffed would improve the dining experience.

Went to lunch at this charming clean and bright Palos Pancake House and I had the best Patty Melt Sandwich on marble rye that was so tasty and done just right. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Have also been here for breakfast as well and they have a very nice variety on the menu. The French Toast is great. .I will definitely be back.

Truly disappointed from this place Food sucked, we got cheese omlets and the cheese wasn’t melted Eggs were not cooked well, hash browns weren’t brown, it was raw potato My wife got toast and it wasn’t served until she was completely done eating and about to leave I got pancakes and they were not cooked right It was crammed and almost no room to breath The waitress told me «what» when i tried to call her and ask her for my wifes missing toast and water? All in all the worst experience ever Not going back here again The only good thing was the place looked clean

While shopping in this little shopping I spotted this restuarant. Very small place that seems to be ran by the entire family. Opted for a skillet and coffee. The skillet though very tasty was a little on the small side. While most skillets I have eaten come with three eggs, here it only contains two. I love coffee and I likes lots of it during a meal, after you get done with the meal they seem to cut you off. I like to decide when I’m done with the coffee and not the waitress, if a place is busy I can understand being cutoff. All it is small the place is fairly clean. The one odd thing I will report on is that the men’s room was very hot on a cold day. I have seem some restrooms that you could store meat in being so cold. Would I repeat, most likely give it a second chance.
