Cute gift shop with some unique gifts you probably won’t find anywhere else. They let you know where the gifts come from and they’re usually countries like Japan, Nepal, Guatemala etc. There are a lot of scarves and bags here and most of the prices are reasonable.

I’ve passed by this place many, many times through-out the years but surprisingly never went inside until this week. I don’t know why it took me so long but I will certainly be back. The woman running the shop on the day I went was very friendly and chatty. She told me that the shop was run by volunteers and that the proceeds went to UNICEF(at least they did at the time I visited). Most of the items are fair trade. Shopping for beautiful items while supporting a good cause? Count me in.

I have loved this store for years. The assortment of products is very well selected and I feel good shopping here because of its fair trade policies and friendly, volunteer staff. It’s the best kept secret for gifts in palo alto.

I stopped there once, and then twice, and then three times… and now I am a volunteer at the store on Saturdays… that’s how cool I think is this store. You will find inexpensive gifts from local handcrafters from all over the world, friendly volunteers who love spending time there and a great place to share with your community… plus is good karma since you are getting gifts but helping local economies from other countries. As someone said before… this is cost plus with a social purpose… and extremely happy vibe. Stop by !!

I went shopping for nice gift basket, and after several stores in Palo Alto, stopped in here. I end up buying several things, and was really impressed by the variety and quality of service. Will be doing much more of my gift shopping here. Thanks UNICEF!

This place is a really cool place for unique gifts. How this place works is that they buy fair trade goods made by craftsmen from other countries, and resell them here. I’ve purchased Tibetan prayer flags and Hindu prayer bells here, which was on the lower end of the price range, admittedly. Some other products, such as African ornaments or various bookends, are a bit pricier. However, it’s great that this store encourages fair trade souvenirs, and should definitely be on the radar for unique gifts this holiday season!

Surprised for no review before me. I just passed this place because… I thought, it’s a UN place(I’m not that crazy with UN. I learned about it at the school. That’s enough.), and it’s a gift shop — in another word — a suvenir shop for UN. But for unknowned reason, after the lunch my co-workers and I decided to check it out. We were very impressed. It’s not just a gift shop. Yes, there are many things related to UN, but also very practical — like bags, shirts, toys and many accessories. Most of them are hand-made. The shop was operated by the volunteers. Very muti-cultural and diverse. One of my friend bought the Polish and the US flags for his wife and son. And the other got a bag, tow ring and more accessories for herself. I bought finger puppets and a bag-pack for my kid. I’m sure I will be back with my wife and kids. I know they will be surprised.
