I have been going to Shireen for facials for the past 9 years. She is the only one I trust with my face. She does a great job on waxing and mini facials. Highly recommend.

Shireen is the only one I trust with my face. Over the past few years I went to a few different locations closer to home for facials, and each time I end up back in Shireen’s care, there is no one else better. When I was getting married and was looking for that glow in u wedding day, I went to Shireen and she gave me the most amazing facial that my skin glowed for days following the wedding as well. She is not scared to do extractions when necessary and what I like the most is that she is careful, clean and uses top of the line products. And her bed is the most comfy of them all! Can’t wait for my next appointment. She also does an amazing job waxing. Highly recommend!!!

Shireen is amazing at what she does. She provides different services, customizes based on the client’s needs, and does so with professionalism and a gentle touch.
Frankly, I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my skin besides Shireen because I tend to break out and have lots of skin problems.
Furthermore, Shireen also waxes my eye brows, and upper lips, and contours my eye brows perfectly.

I wish I could give more than five stars!!! Alex is simply the best. My eyebrows are crazy and Alex is the only one who can tame them. I walk into the store, unable to wear eyeshadow, with lopsided brows, and a slight unibrow, I walk out with perfectly symmetrical brows that make my whole face look great.
On top of that, Alex is so sweet! I followed her from Samba Glow and I would follow her wherever she goes. If you want perfect eyebrows, visit Alex!

Alex it the BEST. I’ve never trusted someone so completely with my brows. They’re naturally a little uneven both in shape and coloring; blonde isn’t always easier. While the problem is subtle, Alex recognized it immediately and knew exactly what to do… a relief because I’ve felt silly trying to explain it to other waxers who have given me nothing but a blank stare in the past.
I refuse to go to anyone else, though I’ve never been one to demand a single professional when so many offer the «same» service. She’s very reasonably priced especially for the results.
If I could add an extra star for personality I would — she’s incredibly sweet and a natural conversationalist, never pushing or fishing to make small talk like so many estheticians I’ve suffered through. If you’re looking for someone to frame your face — she’s you’re girl.

I began seeing Alex for waxing at her previous place of employment almost two years ago. When she moved, I happily followed her to her new location here at Therapy Skincare.
Well, she’s amazing. Incredibly thorough, professional, willing to teach proper care and pleasantly quick. The formal stuff aside, Alex is spunky and kind. She has an electric personality and is full of fabulous conversation.
I can’t recommend her enough. Go to Alex for ALL your waxing needs — You will love her!

I’m not a girly girl. I don’t get my nails done or my hair did. I don’t do the spa thing or really have time to pamper myself. I’m actually the anti girly-​girl and didn’t quite understand the amount of money required to do so. Until!!!
I spend A LOT of time under the sun and in the plane since I travel frequently for work so I feel like my skin has been thirsting of some TLC. That and I’ve finally given into the fact that I need to start making time to take better care of my skin (and myself) as I get older. My skin is on the sensitive side so the thought of getting a facial frightened and intimidated me but Shireen was highly recommended by a friend of mine. Shireen is super sweet and she genuinely cares about her clients and the quality of her services. I don’t love the extractions part, but everything else is extremely relaxing. She goes through a number of steps, creams, exfoliant, etc and I literally feel my skin starting to glow and smile throughout the treatment. I also love that the cleansing facial includes hands and arms massages… bliss! My skin has noticeably improved, especially the weeks directly after I get my facial. Not only does it look clearer and brighter, it feels better!
I see Shireen every 3 months or so, though I wish it could be more frequent. I also had my eyebrows waxed for the first time by Shireen. I’ve since added a brow wax to my regular appointment and she does a fantastic job of shaping them as well. Tucked away in the back of Peninsula Beauty on University Ave, the parking and traffic situation can get pretty crummy, but she’s well worth it! Shireen has definitely changed my mind about facials.

I scheduled an appointment with Shireen based on the other Unilocal reviews. I had a facial and a silk peel. All of the products she uses smell delicious and her facial massage technique is wonderful. She took her time and did a very thorough job. When I got home I took a good look in the mirror. My skin looked brighter, super clean and best of all I was still relaxed hours later. She is a very calm person and has a good vibe. I’ll be going back regularly.

Shireen is awesome. She remembers what we talked about last and follows up with further questions. Oh, and for her service for eyelash tinting it doesn’t get better (have tried at least ¾ other salons) and her treatment rocks!

I can’t say enough praises about Shireen and her skills as an aesthetician. I’ve been seeing her on a regular basis for over two years now.
My skin is okay: typical early 30s skin, combination skin type, occasional acne, pores, some fine lines. As I get older, I’ve noticed it’s not as «glowy» and maybe because I work too much and I’m tired all the time. But Shireen has «magic hands.» She decides on my treatments after listening to my concerns and assessing my skin. My very first time I tried a peel, my skin was just too sensitive to it. I wanted to try it again and Shireen thought of a way to help my skin acclimate to the peel. The peel worked great. I love my facials, massages, and brow waxing. My skin is fabulous — more even toned, less breakouts, blemishes seem to go away faster, and it certainly glows. People definitely notice my skin.
And Shireen is friendly, easy going, accommodating. I’m moving soon and want to take her with me. I hope that’s okay with everyone else ;o) I really don’t know what I’m going to do without Shireen. I’ve been to a LOT of aestheticians and you come out with even more irritated skin or sometimes just ineffective. She is my #1! Thank you, Shireen, for beautifying me.

I was referred to Shireen over two years ago by my friend, who was the Clarisonic representative in the bay area. (If you’re obsessed with taking care of your skin, you’ll understand that means his clients include HUNDREDS of aestheticians and dermatologists.) She came highly recommended and she didn’t disappoint.
Shireen is a perfectionist and very detail oriented. I love her silk peels and she uses the best products (such as Jan Marini). I have had many many facials from expensive spas all over the country and the bay area, but think her services rival the best spas for a much better value. Go see Shireen!

I met Shireen a few years ago, and I have to say she is ahhhhmazing! She really know’s what she is taking about, she listens to you and gives you advice on how to take better care of your skin. My skin is glowing instantly everytime I see her.
I have tried other Spa’s and professionals, but I can’t find anyone who does a better job. I make the drive all the way from San Francisco to see her.
She also does a wonderful job shaping and waxing eyebrows (I have pretty sensitive skin, and I have never broken out after her).

After a few so-​so waxing experiences in the area, I asked a friend whose brows looked great who she used. She highly recommended Shireen and now that I’ve been to her a couple of times, I’m doing the same! She has a great, low-​key, friendly demeanor and totally puts you at ease. Her prices are reasonable, and most importantly, she does a fantastic job. She’s done my brows as well as bikini/​leg wax and I couldn’t have been more pleased.

First time ever at a professional salon, and I’m VERY glad I found Therapy. Conveniently located in downtown Palo Alto, Shireen offers expert and friendly service at great rates. The entire process was literally painless! Highly recommended.

Shireen is the bomb! She does the best facials and eye brow wax ever. She has a way of making you feel special and understanding the needs of your skin and setting up a plan to get you to your skin goal.
