My daughter had been attending this preschool for two and half years. The teachers are all kind, warm and communicative. My daughter loves the teachers and enjoyed the time in school. Since it is a PACCC branch, the main center provides excellent supports. Among which, we most like that PACCC prepares lunches every day with excellent variety in menu. It enables us not to hurry in the morning. The location is just in the downtown Palo Alto, in which we could spend time after drop-in or pick-up. We loved our time with DCC and its staffs and would like to visit them again soon or later.

This review is for the Downtown Children’s Center(DCC). My boy/girl twins, 4 ½ years old, have been there for 7 months and that’s enough. I’m pulling them out. My son cries«I don’t like Big School, I don’t want to go to Big School». My daughter laments she has no friends even though she’s the most engaging little girl you can imagine. They’re bored. They can’t tell stories about what they do. I don’t go there often(my girlfriend or the nanny usually take the kids to school and pick them up) but their 2 teachers don’t show much energy. It’s weird but I’m not sure they even like kids that much. I mean, what effort does it take to greet kids and parents with a big smile and say«Hello!» or «Goodbye!»? Never happened to me. Slow and unmotivated, I’m telling you. The one thing they’re extremely zealous about, it’s the clock. Dang, these folks are more accurate than a Swiss train and as forgiving as the IRS! You pay one day late, you get a 50 bucks charge. You show up 3 minutes late(as we did today for the second time in 7 months), boom!, they’re waiting for you with a paper in hand to sign and request you pay 2 bucks a minute. With 2 kids, that’s $ 12 for 3 minutes. Ok, here are your 12 bucks, now go back inside and keep an eye on that clock: maybe you’ll catch someone else today! Well, not me. Not anymore. And I hope not you too. – PS: My girlfriend says they have 2 other teachers — one fine, one great — but I haven’t met them. We don’t know if they work full-time or if they deal much with our kids.
