This place is cool. I went there with my boys and my man for a morning walk. So beautiful!

The Nature Interpretive Center was closed and definitely has seen better days but don’t let that keep you away. Around back behind the center is a board/cat walk that take you out about a couple hundred yards to an observation deck where you’ll get nice views of the San Francisco Bay and the surrounding marsh land. Nice place to bird watch. Great place to take school aged children. Don’t forget to take your binoculars. Happy viewing!

As noted before the birds must really hate this place LOL. At times its so white it looks as if it belongs on the Cyclades islands. Excessive bird droppings aside its a fun place. When open the rangers are informative and most kids will love it. When it is closed you can still walk around and walk down the raised pathway out to an observation deck(about ¼ mile) and get a great view of the bay

Holy birdshit batman! I mean, really! The Nature Center is literally COVERED in birdshit! When I stopped by the center was closed, but like everyone else has mentioned, there is a great boardwalk out back that takes you out over the marshes. It’s quite an amazing experience.

Haven’t been inside the nature center yet, because it was closed. But there is a nice boardwalk by the Nature Center and you can get a feel for what it’s like in the middle of the salt marshes. I’d recommend the area as a nice walk, just bring a jacket because it can sometimes get a bit chilly.

Cool spot, little natural escape in Palo Alto. When it’s empty at twilight, and it’s just you, airplanes landing nearby, and a salty wind blowing in from the bay, it’s got an eerie, David Lynch feel to it.

There are some nice views across the Bay here and plenty of bird watching, but you are also right next to the looming county dump.

There is a long boardwalk(behind the Nature Center) that will take you out to the edge of the bay(over marshland). Walk it as the sun is setting for a romantic setting ;). The wind is always blowing, birds sailing above, and before you is the beautiful bay…
