Frederick Dirbas, MD

As a surgical oncologist, Dr. Dirbas is fantastic! He has a lovely manner so you feel as though you are his only patient. He is calming, very competent and extremely knowledgeable which is critical when you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. There are so many decisions to be made. He listens, and does not try to force a decision upon you. My first surgeon and plastic surgeon told me a total mastectomy was necessary. It was not. My decision to get a second opinion here was so releaving. I chose to have a lumpectomy, breast conserving surgery, and am very pleased with the result and care given to me by Dr. Dirbas and every member of his team from Kerry his nurse practitioner, to Violet who very competently follows up on everything. There is a reason he has been voted one of the best surgeons in America several years running. He is gentle and I felt I could not have received better care. He almost exclusively deals with breast cancer patients. He has a lot of experience. My confidence in him was entirely justified.
