Fran’s Market is a great to have in the neighborhood. Friendly owners and a big supply of Ben and Gerry’s ice cream !

this is a convenient little market in downtown palo alto, near all of the shops and restaurants. aside from whole foods on emerson st, there are no other grocery stores in DTPA, so this is a convenient place to pick up a pack of beers, a gallon of milk, the daily paper, or a quick snack. the interior is quite small, no more than a few customers at a time and selection is fair at best.

Total local’s dive. Back in the day before Sancho’s existed, I’d hit the barber shop and this was where to get beverages post hair chop. Still seems to be going strong with the locals. However things like this in PA are a dying breed

I’ve been going to Fran’s for 35 years. As a child I remember when the candy bars were 10 cents, soda came in a little 8oz bottle and you pulled it from an old school Coca Cola machine. Frank and Cal do a great job running this place. No matter what you need, this place seems o have it. I appreciate this corner store and am pleased with what it has to offer. Ignore the other reviews…

Small place, limited supply of goods. I shop here to support a local business, but it is a little more pricey than the 7 – 11 down the street. This is your basic bodega.

Pretty shady place with a weak selection dirty and small as hell. A nice place for crackheads to hit you up for rides. Trust I go to the sevee elevee across the street, its worth the price!
