I am quite surprised that the reviews here are so low! Looks like the bulk of them reference the former owners and the Unilocal sort keeps the more recent and positive reviews hidden. What a shame!
I have been using Emerson Cleaners for close to two years now.
I am always greeted promptly by the friendly female owner (Jamie). My clothes are ready to be picked within two days, but they have always been able to rush items if I come in with a last minute request.
Everything is always returned to me clean, pressed, and looking great.

I had nothing but positive experiences when I went to Emerson. I believe management changed a few years ago, which may explain some of the earlier, more negative reviews. I had my suit dry-​cleaned in less than a day, and they did a wonderful job with a few stains on the shoulders and sleeves. The day-​turnaround was also affordable, especially when compared to other dry cleaners in the area.

They do a great job but I had to stop going to them as they kept putting large holes in my shirts using pins. Suggest you watch the front of your dress shirts closely.

I wanted to put in a good word for Emerson Laundry because the « Unilocal Sort» option is sorting *quite* old bad reviews — and describe a very different experience than I’ve had. Plus, it looks like there was a change in ownership about 3 years ago?
I’ve been going here for about 6 months regularly and have been very impressed with the service and commitment to quality at Emerson Laundry. I had a white pashmina badly stained by coffee — and as a last ditch effort, I brought it in to be cleaned. The first round the pashmina came back 90% clean — a miracle! I pointed out some additional stains and the cleaners marked them and re-​cleaned. When I picked up, the pashmina was 100% clean — with no additional charge. I was *impressed* and have been bringing my clothes here ever since. I bring tough jobs and they really come through!

I have been going to Emerson since 1963. Over the years it has just gotten better and better and I am very happy with their work. The new owners are great. I highly recommend them.

I have two requirements for wash and fold:
1) Don’t ruin my stuff
2) Make it smell clean
This place failed in both cases. Everything in my big batch of laundry shrunk– and badly. Long t-​shirts and tank tops are now almost belly shirts.
If this hadn’t happened I would have perhaps thought that the «washing» part of the wash & fold had been left out of the process.
I used to love this place (I took everything here when I lived in Palo Alto), but it must have had a major change because now I will never return.
