I waited in line to get into this place for weeks until finally I think they took pity and let me in. Wow, was it worth the wait! The DJ never lets the beat drop, and you never fail to meet really interesting people. It is a little known fact(or at least little reviewed) that Club Rack sometimes serves food, but they always seem to run out of the ahi tuna. They also have Rock Band performances from time to time. They seem to really support local music, so if your band is looking for a gig, you should check to see how long the wait is to play at one of the crazy Wednesday 1am shows. Really, you should just show up and play til they let you in. Who knew such a rockin scene was just a few block off from downtown? They were closed for entrepreneurial renovations for a lot of the summer, but I am looking forward to the re-opening!

Club Rack recently catered and hosted the CSB department’s recruits for a Thursday night party. The Club showed them a good time, and responses have been unanimously positive. Club Rack’s catering service included gourmet pizza and a fine drink selection of delicious beers and my perinnial favorite, jack and coke. Snowboarding videos staring friends and some sweet classic rock rounded out the evening’s entertainment. Club Rack’s events planner even arranged our afterparty at Antonio’s Nuthouse, and their concierge arranged transportation. That’s the type of full service from Club Rack that got busted out especially for the recruits. Minus one star, however, for the brutally honest comments from the manager and deputy manager who moonlight as senior Stanford graduate students. «Don’t come here,» isn’t the message I thought the recruits would hear, but, the duo did redeem themselves by the end of the evening by saying they«wouldn’t rather be at any other job or at any other school or in any other department.» You can count on the management at Club Rack to tell it like it is, bad and good. Overall, a good time. I’m looking forward to more drunken nights of debauchery at Club Rack.

Fantastic! Very convenient and draws a good crowd. Get there early to avoid puking bartenders. I recommend the late night pancakes. Very intellectual bathroom reading. Minus one star for the cactus hazard and lack of bike parking.

I try to make it to club rack a few times per week(pretty much as often as my schedule will allow). The management seems to refuse to turn on the heat, but it’s a good thing because that place gets pretty steamy by about 9pm on any friday or saturday. I have found no better place to watch football either. However, you should bring a little something for the club(booze, etc) to avoid their exorbitant cover charge. I highly recommend it. E-mail them ahead of time to hear about their specials( ). I hope they’re open for the superbowl!

Always good people, always good drinks… that is if you can get one from the two-sheets-to-the-wind bartender. Club Rack is exclusive and elite… but welcoming. Show up at the door? They’ll prolly let you in. Bring hot girls? You’re their new bff.

Everytime that I have been here, Club Rack is a sausage party. I would give it one star, except for Racking out with your cack out! Compared to other places to party in downtown PA I would give it a 9 out of 10.

I can’t say enough good things about Club Rack, in large part because the place tends to leave me speechless(in that religious experience sort of way). I can’t think of a single time that I’ve not enjoyed myself there and I try to make it my pre– or post– party stop at least once a weekend. My nightlife experiences in Palo Alto have just been a million times better since I discovered this place. The best part about Club Rack is that you can just show up on a Friday night with some drinks to share and there is consistently good company, the ultimate mingling scene, and the finest men on the Peninsula(and a number of good looking women as well, but I’m not always personally as excited by that…) There are always new faces coming through and the late night Mac and Cheese is to die for. I highly recommend Club Rack to everyone. In fact, to share the secret for VIP treatment, don’t head to the front door. Go around back(watch out for the cactuses!) and get ready for the ultimate PA experience. And, if you want more information before arriving, just email .
