So pleasantly surprised! Good place for takeout. The two owners were so nice and all our rolls were definitely made with love. The place doesn’t look like much but I found the quality much better and fresher than pretty much any other place in Miami.

I was very excited to read the Unilocal reviews and was crossing my fingers to finally get a good authentic Japanese meal in the Palmetto Bay area. Alas, that did not happen. I usually do not like to write Unilocal reviews after only one visit because after all, people have off days but unfortunately when it comes to sushi, I’m less forgiving. As a person of Japanese descent, I was especially disappointed. We ordered from here because we knew it was Japanese owned and not some Thai Asian fusion joint like in so many other parts of Miami. Yea, yea– I admit I’m ethnocentric when it comes to food and I’m probably a little bit pickier than most when it comes to Japanese food so my review may be a bit harsher than those of other casual sushi eaters. This was a miss for me.

Authentic Japanese sushi. — Real Japanese owners — Great prices, no more than $ 12 for sushi — Mostly suited suited for takeout

Sushi is fresh and prepared up to par up to any high end sushi place I’ve been to. It’s a hidden gem of a hole in the wall, owner is really nice and I don’t live too far.

I used to go to this place when they were in South Beach. It was to my pleasant surprise and enthusiasm that they moved to Palmetto Bay: Cutler!!! The freshest sushi anywhere and so delicious at such a reasonable price! This will be a part of my weekly staple now!

The service was really slow. The miso soup had the best flavor but small portion. The tuna tatami was tasty. The dragon rolls were average, as well s shrimp tempura roll. The fried ice cream my daughter had to have was better than expected but last piece tasted like shrimp, clearly same oil used as the shrimp tempura lol.

Went last night because of the reviews and was disappointed. Ordered sushi rolls that were $ 10 and $ 12 each. The rolls were so small it was laughable. It was like they had to save ingredients in case someone else came in. Although the flavors were good it was a rip off. The price was normal for sushi rolls but the serving size was ridiculous.

This place is great for what it is. The service is good the food is good, it’s really a place for take out because there is only one table inside. The menu was a bit limited compared to other sushi places but it had all the basics.

Came by recently for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered their lunch special which includes both ginger salad and miso soup along with 3 items on their lunch menu of which i chose the spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, and california roll all for $ 9.75. So much food and all so fresh! Definitely a great bang for your buck!

Amazing, the food is so fresh! The places is very clean and calm atmosphere. You can literally see them cook it right after you order. The wait time is around 15−30mins and its well worth it since everything is fresh. The couple who own it are so sweet and truly take pride in the meals they serve. The miso soup, salads, and sushi rolls are so fresh and delicious. Their Chicken Yakitori & Katsu are the best I have ever had! Best japanese food in Miami.

10 stars!!!(If I could). Yoko’s is by far my favorite sushi place in all of South Florida. And one of my favorites of all time. I haven’t tried any of the regular menu items, I’m always so distracted by the sushi, but I’ll get to it soon! The sushi rice is always so flavorful and made to sticky perfection. The fish always looks and tastes fresh(no smelly/weird tasting fish here!). It’s a delight to eat sushi at Yoko’s, I find it so tasty that I don’t or barely dip in soy sauce. And, even more importantly, the sushi is consistently good. The owners are super cute, very nice, and attentive. The location itself is a little hidden, but you can see their bright sign outside very easily. The location itself is very cozy, and very clean. Only 2 tables inside, but it appears most people order to-go or for pick up anyways. The prices are awesome! Finally, some decent prices! By decent, I don’t mean«cheap». I firmly believe there is no such thing as excellent, cheap sushi, but the prices here are affordable for sushi. In addition to sushi, they also have some great bentos for lunch and dinner, but again, I’ll comment on those after I try them. Honestly, I’m in love with Yoko’s, it’s always a pleasant experience; I always look forward to going. Doumo arigatou gozaimashita, Yoko’s! :)

I am rating it 5 stars not solely on food but on attentiveness and care the owners have. I felt as if I were in their home kitchen and they were making sure I had a great dining experience. Sushi ranks among some of the freshest I’ve had in years, I remember the chef from the location in coral gables. They are a very nice couple even gave me a free green tea will be back for sure.

Delicious, fresh, authentic, great customer service. Small place but clean and neat, the owners are a Japanese couple and everything is cooked to order. Try Gioza as appetizer, udon or sushi rolls as entrée. I am so happy that we found this place close to home, Miami is not a good place for sushi but this little place it’s definitely a must try for sushi lovers.

The food is quality and authentic — made to order yet comes out reasonably fast. They’ve been in business for decades. Used to be in Miami Beach and Coral Gables. Recently re-located to Cutler Bay: quiet neighborhood close to the ocean — great people. Interior is clean as far as the eye can see. The staff is warm, amicable and very hospitable. You won’t get the same experience anywhere else, especially for the price.

Stopped by here the other day based on the great reviews here. Must say I was a little dissapointed. I ordered the Naruto Maki, which wasn’t too bad just wish it was served with more than 1 packet of ponzu. I also had the dragon roll, again nothing that blew me away. Definitely have had better at the other sushi places nearby. Service was pretty fast for takeout. But I most likely won’t be going out of my way to come back.

Noticed this little place tucked away in a plaza by our house and was craving some sushi and decided to give this place a shot. Good sushi is very tough to find in the Palmetto Bay area, but this place blew us away! The sushi was fantastic and it is owned by a very kind and generous Japanese couple. They recently moved to PB4 months ago from South Beach. They surprised us with their delicious tempura cheesecake, on the house! We were extremely satisfied with the service we received, their gratitude and the delicious sushi. My wife and I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning regularly.
