It was ok. The girls there were very nice. We tried the brisket sandwiches and chicken nachos. The brisket had lots of flavor but very fatty. The pulled chicken nachos was better since I didn’t have to work around all the fat from the brisket. I tried the potato salad(had only one bite because it wasn’t worth the calories because it was bland). Then the coleslaw was decent. The macaroni salad was the most flavorful. The sides come in tiny plastic side cups for)1.99 each. Outside seating was nice. Personally, having other Bbq places in the area here, I won’t be going back. It still was pretty expensive for very fatty brisket sandwich and tiny sides.

We’re always looking for locally-owned places to try. This place has been here a couple of years, but we’ve never stopped. We were in the neighborhood today and asked a local who said it was worth a try. The place looks like a throw-back to the 60’s. Tye-dye is the image that comes to mind. Only a couple of tables inside, but some picnic tables under shade outside. It’s a bit of a beer store too. The gal behind the counter was very friendly. She said the smoked chicken was delicious, and gave us a sample to try. It was indeed good, but I went for the smoked brisket and my wife had the pulled pork. The beef was pretty good, and I had the spicier bbq sauce. It had a linger, but was by no means«hot». Portion size was enough for a big boy like me. I liked the flavor of the sauce. It was not overpowering. The beans were clearly home made, with lots of pulled pork… Very good. I’d definitely order again. Only drawback was a small portion size. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with the milder sauce. Not quite sweet, but very good. Pork was tender. I, of course, helped her finish. She had the cole slaw as a side. Very different. It was almost a sweet, oriental dressing flavor. I don’t like cole slaw, but would try it again. I like this place a little better than Broken Bones in Monument, both in terms of flavor and value. The portions here were larger for about the same or less money. Down side. No fountain sodas, only cans. I shouldn’t be drinking that stuff anyway.

I had lunch here a few months back and the BBQ sandwich was great! We decided to have a party and ordered 8lbs of brisket. Everyone loved the brisket. it was tender and had great flavor. I cannot recommend them enough. Great food, nice, reasonable.
