I always get my Asian Supplies here… I know Some items cant get pricey but what do you think? They will give it away or not make any money? Seafood City is about an hour away so I think their prices are reasonable… if you think about the gas and the time driving to the closest seafood city. The old guy in the counter is friendly not because they don’t give you the fake California greetings they are not friendly no more… He’s just not phony! I am so happy the store is here and I will keep on supporting this store.

Being a new resident to AV, I decided to check out this Asian/Thai grocery store for the Southeast Asian dishes I like to cook. I was surprised that they had alot of the items I usually use to make phở, curry, papaya salad, and many other dishes, so I was super happy. The only thing that’s unfortunate is that their products are alot more expensive than other Asian grocery stores out of town like Ranch 99, etc. Also, their herbs and vegetables will be fresh depending on what day of the week you shop there. The owners are very nice though. Will be back because I NEEDASIANINGREDIENTS.

Came here because I was looking to try out my new Thai cookbook. This place is legit– they had all the ingredients I needed, plus fresh seafood for my Tom Yum soup and I got some fried catfish with a side of fries for dinner. This was some of the BEST fried catfish I’ve had-crispy, seasoned just right and their fries were BOMB. Will definitely be back to try their fried shrimp and oyster.

My husband and I came to this store on a recommendation from our Thai neighbor. We visited Thailand and Vietnam earlier this year and had the opportunity to take some cooking classes. We had the recipes for some delicious Asian food but were unable to make them because local grocery stores are limited on their Asian selection. This store is an eye sore from the outside and not that much more impressive once you walk in, but boy do they have a selection. All the noodles, sauces, mixes, vegetables, seafood, etc. We bought ingredients to make green curry, thai chicken, and phở. The prices are obviously more expensive than what we paid in Thailand or Vietnam but not ridiculously expensive either. I will return when I get the craving to make some stir fry, sushi, or winter melon soup.

I’ve been going to the same place for about 5 years. I’ve tried all of the Thai places in the AV, but this has got to be the place that stands out. It’s a family-owned business, and although some things are a bit pricey, it’s well worth it(for both the market & the restaurant). There’s not many Asian markets around here, and the market they have if filled with things like fresh fish, boba, spices, noodles, mochi(regular & ice cream), and much more! The staff is friendly and almost like family & the food is incredible. They serve delicious vegetarian-friendly food as well, and it tastes as delicious as if it had meat in it. I highly recommend the Coconut-Seafood Soup(with extra shrimp) if you love seafood. Get the heat level at «911» if you love spicy foods!.. If you haven’t tried this place, you should really go sometime, you will surely not regret it.

I want to give a fair reply. Not write something because I am annoyed or bother with the place. I live in whittier and wanted to make my family out there some Tom yum Koong soup. WHen I buy my products around where I live, they are always fresh and well priced. At this little market, it was really hard to find all the things I needed for my soup and not only that but everything was well OVERPRICED!!! It was not fresh at all! The service was horrible but I guess that comes from Asian people, sorry to say but they are never friendly. Sorry in advance for that comment but that has always been my experience! SO if you are looking to buy products for your THai or Asian receipts look somewhere else, if there is another place in Palmdale. Good luck!!!

I have been to the Siam Market three times now and I just love ‘em! They have all the ingredients I need to experiment with Asian food. I also like the whole fried fish they serve. Parking is a little tight. IMHO, the best Asian market in the Antelope Valley.

I first was introduced to this place by a co-worker named Geronimo who used to moonlight there in the afternoons working the Fish Market portion of the business… I say that because this place also has a restaurant side that makes good food… I like the Salmon and Tilapia dishes the most! When first walking into the building it’s the usual store with Thai made products you know seasonings cleaning supplies, freeze dried goods, juices, etc… My favorite product being the Ginseng candy they are soooo soft and the wrapper is made with rice paper so you can eat that too!!! Sometimes I like to heat a cup of water and drop a few in for a Hot Ginseng drink… Too the back of the store you will find the Seafood portion of the Market were you can get anything you want… When it comes to fish they will cut, clean, filet, prep with seasonings, even deep fry if needed!!! Not too many Markets will do that making them a hot spot in the AV. I have purchased many fish from Whiting, Cat, Rainbow Trout & Salmon with no complaints… You will find that they are priced very reasonably compared to the major grocers in town… The restaurant can be accessed either inside or outside the building for those shoppers that need nourishment or for those just wanting a night out!!! If you are in the AV and are looking for some good products from Thailand or Hungry for Great Cooking try them out…

Whatever you do, AVOIDTHISPLACE! This is the 2nd time I purchased seafood from this place to come home and find out it was spoiled.(The first time was a few years ago and I thought I would give them another chance.) I live not even 2 minutes away from the store, so it’s not like it spoiled in the car on the way home. I took it back immediately(within 10 – 15 mins. after purchasing) and the guy wanted to just replace it with the same thing(since they had just restocked the tray in the display case, as I had taken the last of it). Not ever wanting to trust this place again and because they put the new seafood in the same place as the spoiled one, I refused and wanted my money back and he acted like he didn’t want to give it back. At first, they offered to cook it for me and I considered it, before deciding against it to make this new recipe I had. I’m so glad I just took it home, because if it had been cooked and I had eaten it, I could have gotten really sick, not to mention others who had gotten their food cooked after that in the same oil. The connected restaurant smells horrible inside, and I’m not sure how people can even sit in there to eat their food. I will NEVER, EVER go back again.

There is nothing better then a local Oriental grocery warehouse. They’ve got stuff you’re definitely not going to find a Von’s across the street. Great family owned/family oriented grocery warehouse. They also have fresh fish which they will fry or cook for you anyway you want because they are conveniently connected to a Thai restaurant.
