Ask and you shall receive… wanted a fruit flavored iced tea, wasn’t on the menu but created me something delish. Love this place and staff is always friendly :-)

When you want food to please the eyes before you dig into what is a big surprise. Lol Their waffles are excellent. half order usual seems to be enough. I enjoye that they actually have a waffle made out of eggs that way you have protein and not just a big plate of calories. A small place to relax and sit with their friends for a while have a cup of coffee. My husband really enjoys their affogato, which I believe they call their dessert expresso drink. Very friendly and comfy. They use real dishes and not just throw away stuff. They have art up on the walls that are actually available for purchase. Seems they are very connected to the community in helping out and supporting which I enjoyed very much.

This place is great. I stopped by here to pick up a cup of coffee and didn’t really know what I wanted. I usually get some sort of caramel coffee at Starbucks and the girl recommended a certain coffee that ended up being REALLY good. I wish I could remember her name. She was a very nice young girl who was eager to help. I will definitely be returning to this place in the future because of the service this girl provided, She even brought the cup out to the table that I was waiting at. Perfect attitude!

I went here 3 times in a day and a half! Love, love, love! The coffee is smooth and very tasty. Unfortunately, I live in the Bay Area and won’t be going back until I go out that way again. This place would do VERYWELL if it were in the Bay! The atmosphere, service, menu choices, etc reminded me of City-like cafes, except they are in the desert. BTW, those new little protein cup/ball things are FAN-tastic!

I love this place. It is so unique that I love it. The drinks are great, waffles are fabulous, staff is friendly! The atmosphere is refreshing in that it really reflects the local community. You can tell that this is a popular spot because of the involvement in the community.

My husband and I LOVE this place! Healthy alternatives and the chicken and waffle plate is amazeballs! Lol I think I’ll go here for dinner. Service is always great and I believe that stems from the owners, they go above and beyond to make us feel appreciated as customers… you feel like family. Seriously, starbucks who? They even showcase local artistry on their walls and support others’ businesses. You get the feel from them they genuinely care about community, that it’s not a business but their heartbeat being lived out. Thanks for being awesome! Blessings

Oh the waffles and the cinnamon rolls are worth the price of going there. One of the biggest pluses of this place is that they have gluten free waffles which made my daughter yodel with glee. Their coffee blows Starbucks out of the water, then again, mud in a coffee cup blows Starbucks out of the water, but really, their coffee is very good. Staff is great and I have been there when it was busy as all get out and they still took care of everyone with minimal delay. Great place to come in and relax and chat with your friends or family.

5 point(star) review: 1) Kid friendly with games for the young & old to play. 2) When it comes to coffee options, so many to choose from. 3) Like waffles? My favorite: the Chicken Parmesan 4) Supports local artists. 5) This is not a profit center, but the goal is about helping kids get a start in the real world.

Cute little coffee and Waffle House. If you happen to be fit and find yourself in this waffle shop, there also happens to be protein waffles as well. But we, my friends, are not those people. We got the chocolate chip waffle and the Nutella banana waffle. Both came with whipped cream and lots of it. There was a heavy amount of Nutella on the waffle but nothing a good chug of coffee can’t fix. Lots of coffee options to try. Will be back!

Tried Perkies for the first time, Had a Black Forest waffle and a Sugar Free Vanilla Moster Coffee. My hubby had an Apple Pie waffle with a Mocha Coffee. Absolutely delicious. Everyone in this place is very helpful and friendly. There are many Sugar Free options to choose from. I definitely recommend this place.

I like that the owner hires youth. He gives back to the community and the food is good. Lots of coffee and tea flavorings. We like to meet in the back room with our groups because they don’t charge you a ridiculous amount to meet there. Great waffles and coffee and tea!

I have recently visited Perkies I thought it was cute and unique. But when it came down to the menu I was a bit confused. So my cousin and I decided to give them a try still. We ordered some waffle sandwich the picture looked nice… so we both gave it try. I was so lost when it came to the table it was more waffle than sandwich the inside only contained spinach, three slices of avocado, two thick slices of tomatoe, bacon and sandwich meat… ok so I took a few bites & that was just it for me I couldn’t do it. All I can taste was a waffle. I was just disappointed & we paid $ 20 for that. It’s just not my cup of tea.

Note: this review is for the new location on Lancaster Boulevard. This is the worst coffee I have ever paid money for. To begin, when I asked for an iced decaf coffee, she pulled out a can of some kind of store bought, pre-ground coffee(think Foldgers). She informed me she’d first have to brew a pot. In order to avoid the horrors of such nasty coffee, I asked for an iced decaf americano instead. Next, she explains to me what an americano is(because I somehow didn’t know what I was asking for?). She explained to me that it has«expresso» in it. No good barista should ever mispronounce espresso. But it gets worse. From whence did she get the decaf espresso? Out of the tin of coffee! For those of you who don’t know, espresso requires a finer grind. And pulling a shot is a work of art. She haphazardly spooned the coffee grinds without measuring. When the shots came out and were watered down, my drink looked like tea. Maybe I should have said something, but she sure didn’t seem to notice that anything looked off. Besides being weak, the flavor is exactly what you would expect from a Foldgers-like coffee. I can’t even drink it.

Love, love, loved this place! It’s a tad bit far from where I love but I just had to make the drive and try this place out and it was absolutely worth it. You walk in and are greeted by very friendly staff. Super cute ambience. Cute art work comfy seats and cute tables. We got the Monte Cristo, the plain maple, and a Thai tea. It did take a little bit to get our food but that’s really not a negative got more sister time with my sister and that’s always a plus! The Thai tea was really good and I love the ice the used kept the drink super cold! The Monte Cristo was yummy as was the plain maple waffle. Over all a 5 outta 5. Must stop by again and try everything on the menu !

Where to begin… Perkies is amazing! Not only for the iced Vietnamese coffee that I recently drank or the caramel walnut waffle that I ate, but for the message and goal that they are working to achieve. Travis, the owner of this fine shop, is a wonderful soul. His vision of giving back to the community and giving kids a chance and a job really hits home for me. If in the Palmdale area, stop by and enjoy not only the delectable products here, but also the idea that every purchase you make is going towards something in the community or to the beginning stepping stone of a kid learning to hold their first job.

Travis and his staff have a made a little piece of heaven in Palmdale. Our family just loves the waffles, desserts and drinks and it’s often difficult for us to choose sweet or savory, healthy or sinful, with all of the variations there are to offer. My personal favorite is the cherry baby waffle and large coffee milkshake, while my hubby appreciates the menu dedicated to body builders. Perkies is community oriented, having helped a list of small organizations throughout the neighborhood through donation nights. They offer days to host local group talent, such as improv and musicians and they also display artwork for sale from local artists. They also use punch cards to earn free drinks and waffles. Travis treats everyone like he’s known them forever and he is always looking for ways to improve the customer experience. We are very happy to recommend Perkies for any time of the day and any occasion.

I have been to Perkies a few times since their grand opening in 2014 and I was waiting until I had enough experience here before leaving a review. I was hoping things would improve over time, however, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Upon my first visit, I ordered a mocha frapp and it was completely watered down. No flavor whatsoever. My friend’s frapp was the same. We also shared a cinnamon roll but it was too sweet for me.
On my second visit, I ordered a coffee with vanilla flavoring. Despite discussing the vanilla flavoring multiple times, it ended up being forgotten. Which I thought was really odd as it was the only thing I ordered, not too complicated. I visited for a third time yesterday morning. I ordered a coffee with vanilla flavoring(actually received the vanilla this time), one ½ Banana Nutella waffle and one ½ Don’t Go Bacon My Heart waffle. These were for my mother and her friend so I didn’t actually try any of it(looked far to rich and sweet for my taste.) However, they really enjoyed the waffles. My only complaint with this particular visit would be with the two men working at the time. They were chatting very loudly, using foul language. At one point they kind of complained about wasting bananas when people order the ½ Banana Nutella waffles, like I did. It was just slightly off-putting. I agree with previous Unilocalers, the owner is very nice. He tries to provide jobs for high school/college kids, supports local art and music, etc. I think that is all really great. Unfortunately, any future visits to Perkies will be on behalf of my mother as I don’t personally enjoy what they have to offer.

This place tastes like shattered dreams and disappointment. Husband and I decided to try his place after the visual stimulation of the waffle sandwiches posted on here. I ordered the peaches & cream, he the black beauty, and we shared a cinnamon roll. All of it was either ridiculously plain and simple or copiously sweet and artificial. I would like y’all to know I am an enormous fan of cream cheese and even though it was slathered on all of our breakfast items, I disliked every bite. Oh, and we were instantly sick with topsy-turvy tummies. One thing I will give them props for is it seems they are very invested in the community and support their youth organizations with abundance.
