L A Chinese Express

The face of this business is a VERY unpleasant lady. After my 1^st review I swore I would never step foot in this unappreciative place of a business. Would u believe this woman literally had a screaming match with me? Denied the fact that my friend and I spend at least $ 50 week with her after school 4days week. Not to mention some weekends too. She denied seeing me. I’m like really… I’m the one who comes in and get rice only bcuz I’m plantbase n don’t eat meat. She goes, «no no». I’m like really. I’m also the same one who’s friends with the person who referred me here. Who’s been coming to this suck place of an establishment for over 10yrs. The same girl who also purchased a family pack spent almost $ 50 only to be charged .50 for two sweet an sour sauces. What a petty female… This woman clearly doesnt respect or appreciate her customers. I told her she should take a look at her Unilocal reviews. Everyone talks about how nasty her attitude is. She has a very rude disposition about herself. She’s in the wrong business. I’m suggesting u take your hard earned money else where.

I personally think this is the best chinese spot in palmdale. The food is tasty and for a low price you get a lot! People need to stop complaining about the service and give them a break. I feel like people are taking it out of context. I saw that the woman was working quickly and rushing to take orders and help out in the kitchen as well, so I can see how she can come off as rude. But I had a wonderful conversation with her when she wasn’t busy. This is a small local business and it is just the cook and her working so its probably stressful. I believe they are husband and wife, but I could be wrong. She told me they’ve been working there for many years and hardly get a break! Anyways, as for some recommendations I really enjoy their mayonnaise shrimp, mongolian beef, and wonton soup. Definitely going back whenever I am craving chinese food in palmdale!

Have been here twice the food is good, however costumer service is horrible. Makes you not want to go back. She is very unapproachable and not very welcoming.

I see a lot of reviews saying the lady there is bad with customer service. My first time there (3 months ago) she was nice to me. Second time there she was still nice to me. Now I’m on my way there for the 3^rd time as I right this review. Good portion of chicken fried rice for the price.

The food is ok, not the best in Palmdale but they do have reasonable lunch specials. However, the service is terrible. The lady there makes you feel rushed. If you don’t know what you want immediately, she gets upset and makes no attempt to hide her feelings about it. If you don’t mind rude service… than you might want to give this place a try. I value excellent service above anything else.

I’ve been going here to LA chinese for almost 5 years probably longer. Always gotten the same thing |BBQ PORK FRIED RICE| great price and even better tasting (I ask for Bean sprout & onions instead of peas&carrots) only problem is the service. I mean I feel sorry for her she probably has to deal with alot of $#*+. Wish she would give people a chance to stand in the restaurant instead of hurrying them out the door.

Came here to order some food to go and it was made fresh to order. Its a small place but it looked clean. We ordered the Mangolian beef and chow mein and it was delicious, plentiful and we didn’t get sick afterwards :) which is always a good sign. Would recommend to friends and family.

I LOVE this place. I’ve gone there so much that the woman who runs it (sorry I don’t know her name) usually knows my voice when I call my orders in. This is probably the only decent Chinese place in the AV. I go to Chinatown to eat Chinese because nothing else besides LA Chinese Express even comes close to authentic Chinese.

This is takeout spot. They do have a few tables but not much of an ambience to stick around. The food is really good but the owner is rude and curt. I have been coming here for about a year because the portions are large and my family really enjoys the food but today’s behavior was borderline verbally abusive. I put in my usual order over the phone she asked if wanted the small or large container I assumed of rice since she has never allowed me to order a small container of the shrimp with lobster sauce so I said small because I didn’t feel like paying her the extra she charges me for rice (figured id make rice at home) anyways I show up to discover she has prepared the shrimp dish like a lunch special with the rice on the side. I very nicely said «no friend that’s not it» and instead of saying something like ok let me change it or I didn’t realize it was for you, she says you don’t want it fine take your money and slaps my money on the counter and takes the dishes back to the kitchen. Just like that. Well needless to say I was shocked. I went towards her and asked why do you act like that? Do you realize that people post negative comments about you on Unilocal because of your attitude? She said «I DONT CARE». Her husband said something in a language I don’t understand and she just shut him up. I was so surprised. I just said I really enjoy your food but your attitude I can’t stand. This was my last visit to this joint. Too bad they don’t give grades for bad customer service because she deserves an F.

Went and order food today! It’s actually more food than I expected. I liked the Teriyaki Chicken and my daughter like the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Not really digging the Orange Chicken.
Overall, it’s not bad and not that expensive either.

We stopped by for some take out, the cashier was very rude, and it really felt like she was rushing us out of the place. I asked her for my total and she starts saying I don’t trust her!!! (Mind you it’s my first time here) Learn some customer service if your dealing with people, if she had a rough day it’s not the customers fault. Let’s see how the food is… Since I already paid.

This place has ok food but it’s such an unattractive place. I would not sit here to eat. Ever. All I did was take out but I don’t ever want to come back. Sorry but this place looks gross.

Good deal for a lunch special. but I ordered beef broccoli with chow mein. took it to go. and i was given white rice. I mainly came here to try out their chow mein. MAke sure you repeat what you asked for because their english probably sucks and dont understand people well. I DID NOT even ask for white rice. normally they’re supposed to give you fried rice. Not worth my time and gas to drive back to get chow mein. Probably won’t come back here.

Located in the strip mall on the South West corner of Palmdale Blvd and 20^th Street east (where the 7-​Eleven is.) L A Chinese Express is on the West end of the mall next to the sidewalk. Although set up mainly as a Take Out there is seating for 10 in the small dining area.
There is a menu attached to the order counter and after going over it I decided on the Mongolian Beef Lunch Special which includes Soup & Steamed Rice, Egg Roll, Fried Rice or Chow Mein. The lunch specials are available from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm.
I took a seat and about 10 minutes later my order was brought to the table. It was still steaming hot as I began to eat. The beef was very tender, not over cooked like I have had in other places. The vegetables were crisp and flavorful.
There was more food than I had expected for the price and ended up being full with enough left over to bring home!

My wife’s work goes to this place all the time for lunch, and she kept telling me how good this place is. I’m VERY PICKY when it comes to Chinese food, so I was like ahhhh ok, i’ll finally go there, and let me just say… WOW. This place is soooooo good, I think I will go back tomarrow. From the fried rice, to the sweet and sour chicken, it was alllllllllll good. We had 4 of us there and got their meal for 4 with can soda’s and it came out to 46bucks. With the amount of food we got, we had plenty left over, so it’s worth the price for sure. If you want great Chinese food, this is your place, Enjoy.
