El Torito

Excellent service! Amazing atmosphere. Jen and the rest of the crew are an absolute pleasure. Had a terrible experience trying to get into medranos next door due to the discriminating a hole management and staff and was ready to go home heartbroken that in my birthday and 8 months pregnant I wasn’t able to sing karaōke with a few of my close friends to celebrate and then el Torito welcomes us eight open arms and made my night! Thank you guys! Will be coming back soon!

I just ordered 6 dozen tamales for a party. Three dozen chicken, one dozen carnitas, one dozen shredded beef and one dozen sweet corn cake tamales. All the tamales were freshly prepared and extremely delicious! It had lots of meat, was very moist. and the corn cake was not overly sweet. I will definitely buy the tamales from El Torito from now on. The staff was very nice and did a great job. Thanks El Torito!

My family has been going to this El Torito for years and the service is hit and miss. There’s a couple of servers that are amazing, but also some less than mediocre. The things we love to eat here are the chicken tortilla soup, the salsa, and the carne asada. Unfortunately the last time we went they had changed the carne asada recipe and it not only looked unappealing, but was pretty tasteless. Usually you modify something to make it better not worse. That was a few months ago and we haven’t been back. If we’re ever in the mood for just soup we might go in, but there just isn’t anything else on the menu to keep us coming back.

We went a couple weeks ago. It wasn’t busy at all and we sat in the bar area. After we sat a waitress told us she would be with us in a moment. Instead she went back to having a conversation with the other waitress. When she finally came back she took our drink orders, but still no menus. The bartender starts yelling she is out of glasses, again no one is doing anything but taking. When the bus boy brings her a tray of dirty glasses he just cleared, we watch the bartender rinse the glasses out, not clean them, just a quick rinse, and then make our drinks in them. At this point we are 20 mins into our visit. No menus yet and they are about to serve us drinks in glasses that were not properly cleaned. We walked out. If they do this right in front of the customers, what are they doing in the back.

The new Sunday brunch is very good!!! Lots of new items for the brunch. If you can sit at the bar. The bartender Cody is very funny and takes great care of you.

The experience I had Friday night was great! Happy hour nachos are ymmy and a great deal. The server was really nice too. Fajita platters were on point!

Came here more then once Bad service. Rude hostess. Waitress that ignore. Foods great but it isn’t that good for that kind of service.

2 weeks ago I went to el torito on Palmdale there was not shrimp … For sea food fajitas, first weekend of August went back on Sunday to see if we can change our experience with out writing a review but guest
What??? Soda fountain wasn’t working!
I guest all the drinks tasted flat this restaurant getting worst … Save some money and go to other torito !

The chips were overdone. We kept asking for chips that weren’t as done, and they kept bringing us overdone chips. The refilled Coke tasted flat and warm, like it was poured from a 2 liter instead of coming from a tap.
Service was great and the rest of the food was wonderful. I’ll go back.

7÷21÷2115 @ 1800 .came here for taco tuesday… did not try the chicken tacos… i tried the carnitas and was very disappointed.. I got this big chunk of fat and i mean fat… the carne asada were good they just need a little more seasonings. .we had table side guacamole very good flavor…
I was also disappointed on the happy hour. i dont drink mix drinks but on beer why is it only the american brands that are for happy hour… why not all the beers… that would make more the sence.
The star is not for the beers… maybe 0 will be for the food. the other 2 are for the waitress. both times i have been there they have been real professional and always making sure everything is ok… waitresses keep up the good work.
Now about the food and the beer. lets have a talk with the cooks and management…

Service was terrible. We had to ask the guy if we could order because he wouldn’t ask us. And getting our drinks was a long wait. He would come by and say drinks are on the way. Food taste was okay. Carnitas were good tasting but made me sick. Not happy at all. Won’t come back here that’s for sure. Not authentic Mexican food at all.

Food was great! Didn’t take to long. The server was good his name was Victorio very attentive and continued to come in an check if everything was alright. The best appetizer was the bacon wrapped shrimp. The environment was nice and well decorated. Overall great experience.

Food is mediocre. Service was lousy. Three waitresses were serving us and kept mixing up our order. Never going back I definitely expected better what a shame.

OMG! Listen to the reviews! I always believe that you should get your own opinion because sometimes these reviews are from pissed off patrons, but!!! DO NOT EAT THERE! I had to rush home because I immediately became sick to my stomach! How dare they claim their food is the best! It’s disgusting, dry, and old! Servers suck and are rude! And if you argue with your customers, you get a big fat ZERO for a tip!
Trust these bad reviews and save yourself money and stomach issues!

Ate here Friday night and was very disappointed. The food was warm at best while the seafood fajitas were overcooked and had shrunk in portion size but grown in price. Worst of all my son’s hamburger was barely warm and he ended up throwing up an hour later. Once it was out of his system he stopped throwing up and was fine so mild case of food poisoning capped off the meal. Done with this place as it has been going down hill awhile.

Came here after walking out of Famous Daves to celebrate my husband and nephews birthday. It was 8:30pm and we were hungry! We walked in and told the manager and he got us seated and our food was delivered in less then 15 minutes! Two desserts and they sang for the boys! 1800 Fajitas were amazing! We will be back!

Long wait for less then good food. Had been sitting long enough the beans and rice were crusty On top and enchilada sauce was dry. Will never come back. Hubby 18 $ steak was so tiny and Jr had to pay extra for Rice will post pics of the food

Let me start off by saying that the main reason why I’m reviewing this at 5 Stars is
because of the service I received. Me and my husband frequent this El Torito and
every time we come here, the service is subpar at best. The only thing that really
keeps us coming back are the cadillac margaritas and the chicken enchiladas, but
now we have a new reason to come back… and her name is Sandy :~) This was the
first time we were ever waited on by her and I must say… She is Absolutely
Delightful!!! Not too many of the servers or staff here keep a consistent smile and
they are just down right rude, but she is most definitely the exception. She is very
engaging, courteous, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about making sure that
we had the best customer service experience ever. We enjoy the food very much but
the service keeps us from wanting to come here much more often than we do.
Because after all, service is everything! But if we can have Sandy as our server every
time…Then it will always be a 5 Star experience.

The food tasted pretty good. Unfortunately it was over an hour until we got our order, 15 more minutes for silverware (seriously), and my five year old had to wait an additional 10 minutes for her Mac and cheese. I wish I was exaggerating, but the restaurant wasn’t even at capacity.
The wait staff was apologetic at the end; after we spoke to the manager. They gave us a 25% discount, but I still wouldn’t ever come back.

Today I went in on my lunch break & I had an amazing visit! The service was very fast and convenient due to the fact that I only had an hour lunch! My sever Fernando was amazing! Great service and very tentative! I definitely would recommend this place to all the hard working ppl who are looking to grab a quick bite on limited time.
I had went to Apple bees on my lunch last week and it literally took them 40 mins to bring out my food! I only had 15 mins to eat!
Anyway, I loved the service today at El Torito!
