Big als has great sandwiches and pizza. The bread is soft and fresh. Actually everything tastes really fresh. You do have to wait a little while but it’s worth it. The big al sandwich is our favorite. It has a little bit of everything. This is my go to place in the lake la area

Can be slow on orders… seem to back-​up…
Even on a school night… and if they receive a large order, say 3 – 5 pizzas!
Tell you ready in 30 minutes, waited almost 1 hour. Delivery can be poor, and take forever.
Prefer to order and pick up…
Pizza is always hot, and fresh ingredients…
Salads are just okay… garlic bread is warm and doeie!
Kitchen could easily be redesigned for efficiency!
Just look at a Dominos or Pappa Johns…
For a small town hard to beat!

The pizzas are great and are affordable. The only thing that might need some work is the crust. It is plain and needs a little more crunch to it. Other then that everything else is great cheese, toppings and the amount of sauce do you use.

I was working here in town, and looked up Big Al’s, so I figured I would try it out, plus I was starving. I ordered a medium pizza, with Canadian bacon, and pineapple. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water, it was so good, and with the fresh ingredients, it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Now every time I work in Lake LA I know where I’m going to eat.

I love the pizza, delivery can take a long time,.overall great pizza! :-) I also like the other lication in Lake LA, the pizza is upbeat able. I have been ordering from Bug Als’s over 12 years and I can honestly say their pizza is yummy.

Love it or? Never cared for the pizza so tried pastrami and Philly cheese steak. Pastrami was light on the meat and OK for taste. Philly no cheese (couldn’t see any) two onions, bell peppers and little bit of mushroom. Both Philly’s steak soaked in salt one bite all it took :(. Ravioli OK Lasagna OK pizza bread good Garlic bread dry Friends love it that will be my first and last ! My best part, the inployees are polite and very helpful :)

They just recently expanded their menu beyond pizzeria to include burgers and Mexican food.
We haven’t explored them fully yet, but having been regulars for the last two year because of their epic calzones and deep dish, I imagine we won’t be disappointed.
Definitely a great go to for big groups or those nights when you burn dinner and need a quick, inexpensive meal.

This place for dine in? Uhh, no! This place for carry out? Uhh, yeah! Look, its not like this place is a fine dining expierance or anything like that, it is Lake LA after all, but the pizza is great and the crust is very tasty.

Consistently the best pizza, the best crust, soft and cheesy. Can always be counted on in a crunch when there is unexpected company or I don’t feel like cooking.

This place rocks! When I call my order in they are always respectful and attentive. The antipasto salad is delicious. The delivery times are usually between 45 min to an hour. The delivery guys are sweet and they are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you are satisfied. One time I forgot to order drinks and the delivery guy drove back to the restaurant and brought back drinks. I wish I new the delivery guys names, but no matter who comes to your door they are all great.

I’m a super huge fan of Big Al’s. I love mushy mozarella pies filled with cheese and sauce. The pizza is so greasy and delicious. Yum!
They also sell the biggest brownies you’ve ever seen. They are always pretty nice and have a decent dining facility to dine in as well.
And if you go during the summer, you can even catch the raspado man outside.
Some pizza. brownie… some shaved ice w/​vanilla and you are good to go.
