This pharmacy (Monterey Sve. / Palm Desert, Ca) is the rudest I have ever experienced. I just spoke to Y_____ who was no help at all and was extremely short and rude. Obviously Walgreens doesn’t appreciate their guests. The manager of the pharmacy should send the staff to customer service training.

They are very consistent. Every time I go I am surprised my how bad the customer service is. It is not that they are mean, hey simply do not care. I would say their skills are matched with the skills of the Palm Desert DMV.
They are constantly busy, even at 9pm. They also do not fill the prescription until you are actually standing in line, therefore every customer waiting in line has to wait for everyone in line before then to have their prescriptions filled. It’s very annoying, and always take at the very least 30 minutes for a simple pickup. Same yourself the headache and go to Rite Aid across the street. I have no idea why I still fill my scripts filled here, it always ruins my day.

The worse run pharmacy I have ever been to. They lost my prescription and then said it would take 2 hours to re do. 3 hours later it was not done and no one including the pharmacist could figure out what to do. It took an additional 1 before it was re done. Staff so slow and everyone is disorganized. I will never go back.

The only reason there is a star (other than Unilocal makes you) is for the fact that there are warm bodies behind the counter here. Unfortunately that is all there is. Please save yourself an enormous amount of time and frustration and go elsewhere.

I was told on Mon. Nov. 30 my prescription would be ready in the afternoon of that date. I went back on Dec. 1 and was told my prescription wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow, Wednesday.
This Information I was told after I gave some utterly incompetent young man my last name 3 times. This is after another pharmacy technician, a woman, came to the drive through window to explain to me why my prescription couldn’t be filled.
When I asked why I wasn’t called, I was told, «Sorry. Someone should gave called you.»
Thus isn’t the first time or second time I have had problems with Walgreens, Palm Desert. Whoever hires these pharmacy technicians should be fired.
Such incompetence! Never am I shopping there again for anything.

I errantly walked in here to process a pharmacy switch. While I should have been at CVS I waited in this line of six or seven for what seemed like an eternity. I asked one of the patrons if this was common and an emphatic YES was answered.
What a nightmare.
I did finally find CVS as I was directed and the service over the phone has been top notch. This Walgreens is cool for some things due to the proximity but DO NOT come here for your prescriptions.

I drop off my prescription medication 955am. They told me an hour and a half to be ready. When I got there 11:30. They told me 15 minutes, still not ready .It took them over 2 hours to have it ready. The Lines are long + them having the drive-​through make it so much longer to get service

A MIRACLE!
A few days ago, Walgreens became my HERO!
I thought I left my credit card at a local resturant, when I noticed it was missing from my wallet. I thought the resturant was the last place I used it.
Then on my way home to look around the house, I pass by Walgreens and realized I had used the credit there and not the resturant.
I went in the store and asked the clerk, who remembered me, from the evening before, if she found the card… NO! We looked in the magazines at the counter ‚…NO LUCK… She called the store manager to inquire if the card was in lost and found… NO LUCK!
The manger asked me for the approximate time I was in the store. I told him. And then he said,” give me 5 minutes I will check the video”.
When he returned, he told me I had put the credit card in my left pocket of my slacks.
I went home and sure enough the card was in my left pocket!
A MIRACLE and Walgreens forever more shines and is at the top of my list as the ULTIMATE RETAILER.

I called in a prescription and waited on hold for eight minutes just for them to tell me that some eardrops would take an hour and a half to fill. Two hours later I called and waited on hold for 25 minutes before they hung up on me. I was just trying to check if my prescription was ready.

I would stand in the long lines if I would get decent customer service. I don’t get call backs if there are problems with insurance, I always have to call them and bug them which means going thru at least 5 – 10 minutes of holding each time. I don’t go here any more. Much better for my health.

HORRIBLE! The pharmacy has really gone down hill. I have been coming to this pharmacy for years! The last few times I’ve been there have been a total nightmare. They are a busy pharmacy, I get that, but they are a hot mess! TWICE in the last 2 months when my prescriptions have been promised at a certain time, I go to pick them up 5 hours LATER than the time they quoted me and they STILL aren’t ready. And that’s AFTER I’ve already waited in the drive through line for 45 minutes. One time, the lady just let me sit there after she told me my script wasn’t ready at 7pm when it was promised at 2PM while she took her time leaving the window for 5 to 10 minutes at a time before returning to ask me stupid questions and leave again. I was in line that night for over an hour! Tonight there were 4 cars in front of me. This time I called as I got in the back of the line to make sure it was ready. It was, so I waited 30 minutes before getting to the window, then another 10 while they ignored the drive thru line and helped customers inside the store. I had to turn off my car so I didn’t run out of gas and I called the manager while i was at the window being IGNORED and let him have it! This is becoming the norm for this pharmacy. I have since switched to Walmart Neighborhood Market in PD pharmacy and its SO MUCH BETTER! THE ONLY reason I was there tonight was because my daughters medicine had already been called in there. NEVER EVER AGAIN! They clearly don’t care to improve what has become a serious customer service issue! Its NOT ok to make us wait over an hour in line, be it in the car or inside. I refuse to deal with them again. Very sad!

I love this pharmacy and all the staff know me by name. Yes, it is a busy place but that’s because it offers the most services. I don’t know any other retail, yes retail pharmacy that has the pharmacist give travel vaccines, health testings (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar), compounding, drive-​thru, not to mention 24 HOURS, 365 Days a YEAr! I mean all of that… wow! When I hear people complain, it makes me cringe. I mean this isn’t McDonalds… come on people! Do you complain when the doctor is seeing another patient and you wait 1,2 sometimes 3 hours??? I think not! Then they come to the pharmacy and want the prescription filled like a hamburger. Really people… Open your eyes!!! All the staff work so hard trying to make each customer feel well cared for and people don’t care! They would rather complain about this, that, and everything under the sun. I am very thankful for this pharmacy. Not only do they text me when my prescription is ready but they also notify me when there is an issue or when I am ready for a refill. The one time my prescription was out-​of-​stock and one of the staff personally called and told me when it would be in and if I was unable to pick it up they would deliver it or mail it to me! I was astonished! A high volume, 24 hour pharmacy and they actually had time to call me!!! I love this pharmacy and despite all the negative comments, Walgreens is my place at the corner of happy and healthy.

I waited in a line of 4 cars at the drive thru tonight and about 40 mins later finally got to the window (Yes. they are that slow and now I know why). I came for one item only which was discussed when I dropped off the prescriptions days before. They then handed me an item I didn’t request and then told me the item I needed (a box of lidocaine patches) wasn’t ready despite my phone call prior to the stop.
They then brought me the wrong patches despite my request for the brand name upon drop off. So then they tell me it will take a while so I needed to go around and drive thru again. Now there are 7 cars behind me waiting. I refused as I waited my turn but this was THEIR screwup not mine. Three different employees including a butch bitch told me to go around and be #8 in line. No way! I burned rubber, drove around to the front doors and walked in despite wearing my «at home» attire. Then there are 6 people in line so I go to the Consultation window and there is the bitch pharmacist. I explained it to her and she told me to go ahead and get in the line of people. I said, «I have waited my turn once in the drive thru and WILL NOT wait again.» These people are the most incompetent jokes I have ever dealt with. Attitudes are a screw you type attitude. OK, I get it you’re busy but don’t make me wait an hour for your mistake when all you needed to do was pull the correct box off the shelf. No dispensing, measuring, etc required. Just pull the prepackaged box from the shelf and I’m out of your way.
Based on some of the other Unilocal ratings of 1 Star this is not an uncommon experience. Do yourself a favor and go to CVS, Rite-​Aid, Walmart, anywhere but here. I thought I was going to have a stroke on the spot having to deal with stupidity and attitude on top!

The pharmacy doesn’t even deserve one star! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I quit going there years ago but decided to try again because of the location. I’m happy to say that today was the last time I will ever go into that store.

Busy busy busy. This is ground zero for senior-​citizen-​medication-​pick-​up. Long lines in the middle of the day, but the staff is friendly and fairly efficient. I grab a magazine before I go to wait in line. Cleanliness could also be improved at this location.
Pro tip: drive thru for your meds, save some time!

This store is open 24 hours! Which is a plus. The staff is semi friendly, kind of sarcastic. Not a bad thing Haha the only real negative thing about this particular store is the pharmacy. That part off the staff is very rude, have no personality and are extremely slow. I’ll be transferring my prescription to Rid-​Aid! Will return for household items and other goodies though!

The employees at this walgreens are in one word horrible. They have no sense of urgency especially in the pharmacy. The cashiers also never tell you if you have any cash built up on your rewards card, so that you cannot redeem the cash towards any of your purchases. I am going to transfer all my prescriptions to Costco. If Walgreens cannot hire proper employees, then they do not need my patronage.

This store never closes! Not hard to find on Monterey/​Hwy 111 and perfect when you need something last minute. You’ll find plenty of items here — and remember to ask for their monthly coupon book! If you have the rewards card, you can also get more discounts!
Staff is very friendly and helpful. They know their store inside and out.
Only thing is the store isn’t new. I feel like I’m walking into an old, dirty drug store.
The pharmacy staff is really cool though. They have such a great sense of humor and are so down to earth.

This is a 24-​hour location with the pharmacy also open 24-​hours a day, seven days a week. The employees who work in the store are great and go out of their way to be helpful and help you find what you need.
The pharmacy is usually backed up and if you are going to wait for a Rx that you just are dropping off the wait can be anytime from twenty minutes to two hours and they are always understaffed at their peak hours. I suggest if you need the Rx and wait for it you should go to another pharmacy, but if you are going to pick it up later than this location is perfect for that! The pharmacists I can say are well qualified and very competent with what they have to say.

Walgreens pharmacy is always busy but thank goodness for drive through. I recently switched to this store because of a insurance change. I spent a month in and out, also on the phone just trying to get 1 prescription approved. No one there gave me any help or helped me until Adrian waited on me and took it on himself to find the answers I needed. It took him about 3 days but he came through just when I needed it.
He saved me! Thank you Adrian! Give that man a raise, it’s ashame everyone there isn’t that helpful!
