Palm Springs RV Resort

Have always admired this resort when we have been in Palm Springs area, FINALLY planned ahead enough to make reservations, was so excited to get there. …OMG what a dust bowl… yes, I know it’s the desert but it was SO BAD our 2 white dogs were always brown, EVERY surface in the coach was a blanket of dusty sand! Sorry, love rving/​camping but there is a fine line & this pushed us over the top. .just couldn’t enjoy our time, left after 2 nights… won’t be back

The staff & campers are friendly. The sites are tight and some are filled with burrs. (watch out doggies) On Saturday, we spent most of the day at Joshua Tree National Park. This campground is a good base camp for exploring the area. The freeway is close to the campground. Also, I heard a train going by during the day & at night. Watch for wind alerts when driving to Palm Springs. Overall, I would like to come back here and city camp. :)

Been a Thousand trails member for some time now and have visited many of their camp grounds. First the positives: lots of near by stores such as grocery stores and fast food locations near by. Next, the camp grounds and bathrooms are clean. Now the bad: it is like camping at a retirement community. Most of the campers are old and grumpy. They get upset when they children play and ride their bikes. Most of the campers are from other states and apparently manners are not same. The camp ground is not child friendly. I am of Hispanic descent and felt as though my family was looked down upon and stared at. 90% of the campers are white if not more. Lastly, of all the thousand trails camp sites I have never had such a bad experience at one of their camp grounds. Would not recommend this place if you have children or not old.
