This is one of the only 5 star lunch joints in the area, and they lived up to their rating. I had the special tuna stuffed avocado salad. I loved it the best part was the dressing dejon vinaigrette. Oh and they actually give you half an avocado. My boyfriend got a chicken sandwich with bacon. He was very happy with the hefty serving of bacon on this sandwich. Everything was served with fresh bread. This is a perfect lunch spot.

We arrived near closing time, I ordered the Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich combo, side and drink, and my friend ordered a hot dog(I know, he’s funny!). My sandwich was made to perfection. The potato fries were excellent, finished them all which I don’t normally do. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. We will definitely be back.

Where to start? First off, it’s located off of El Paseo and The Name is El Paseo grill so first thoughts are $$$$ which is not the case ;) The lot is a nightmare during lunch hours so expect that for sure, it shares the same lot with many other business and is snuggled in the back between the last of them, but once you fight your way through the droves of cars, you are set for one of the greatest lunch experiences ever ;) It was much more quiet then expected upon first walking in, very large quaint dining room area that leads up to the cashier/kitchen. About 20 tables and there where only about 10 patrons max. They offer awesome sandwiches and salads with minor. Misc. Deli items here and there as well as Beer ;) There where the owners in the back prepping an cooking as well as a chef, and then the lady at the register(KR) these where all down to earth people and although obviously from different walks of life, they got along like a family back there! I got the Bacon Ranch Club combo with Fries and a drink, $ 14 and some change and they broke $ 100 no issues ;) it took some time to get to the table — about 10 mins but as with BOMB, FRESHFOOD, the wait is inevitable;) My sandwich was so good! I DO believe it was on a Fresh Ciabatta bun as well but that chicken OMG, grilled to garlicky perfection and the Bacon was thick cut oh man with the fresh house ranch this sandwich was magical! All the ingredients flowed together so perfectly creating one of the best sandwich experiences for me in a long long time. And the friesh, thin crispy shoestring fries not dry at all with hardly any ketchup needed, I want to venture to says these where freshly cut then fried potatoes, if not you could have easily lied to me;) On the way out once again they asked me how the meal was and one of the owner even offered me a to go cup for my Fountain soda, just extremely over the top courteous to their patrons for sure! Stop by if in the area, one of the many greats to try but as the chef exclaimed when I told him it was my first time(he said oh you will definitely be back;) and that I will!

This place would have a line down the block if more people knew about it… You would probably drive by it several times without noticing it… The food is always amazing here .very fresh. Highly recommend it

Great tasting freshly made food, the way we should eat. Non-GMO, some organic, grass fed beef, non-arsenic chicken, you know the way food should be, and it tastes good. Win win! But it’s not just for the food snobs, there’s something for everybody and the staff was very polite and generous. Will definitely be eating there again.

I stopped in here just before closing one day to just«get a hot dog.» If hot dogs can be done to perfection, they did it! Plus the person serving me was extremely friendly and accommodating! I look forward to my next trip back to the desert when I can try other things on their menu.

Everything is wonderful here, from the prices to the décor. The food actually tastes like food — fresh, perfectly prepared, and will actually fill you up. If you’re there for breakfast in the morning — definitely try the Belgian Waffle I do not normally eat fries, but the fries here are SOGOOD! Five Stars goes out to this awesome best kept secret restaurant for being hands — down my favorite breakfast/lunch/bakery(how could I forget to mention the fresh baked cookies???) place in the valley!!!

My family and I were browsing around the El Paseo area looking for a new place to try until we came across El Paseo Grill. The establishment is very clean and gives a nice vibe the second you step through the door. The service is outstanding, very nice people that are very helpful with the menu options. I had the Mediterranean chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries and it totally blew me away. The chicken was very juicy and the bread was soft with just enough crunch to it. The sauce and feta cheese took it to the next level. All in all it was a great experience and I will definitely be coming back very soon.

The reviews, location and price had me intrigued. We dropped in today for an early lunch to see what all the hubbub is about. It was a little taxing to find but we had LOADS of time so we kind of meandered around until we struck gold. It is a small establishment and very clean. There is also an urban feel with the décor without being too young OR outdated. We skimmed the menu board and decided on sandwich number one. The SPICY Chicken. We then asked Chris about what else we could compare to the first selection. His recommendation was the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich and a side order of Fries sounded great. Our lunch came out and it looked FRESH and DELECTABLE. Both sandwiches were warm and the bread hugging the contents was perfect. After cutting them in half and trading our next mission was to bite and swallow. The SPICY was very good and had a little twang of heat immersed in every chunk. I was really happy with # 1. While engulfing my first half I heard my wife cooing with HER first half. She started with the Mediterranean and I found out why. The aioli they utilize for this hoagie takes it over the top. In our opinion it was definitely the better of the two. One would receive a score of 10 and the other a 9. We arrived at right around 11am and we were out the door within thirty minutes. The service and preparation was quick and efficient. I wonder if the timing is slower after 12. Oh, the fries were OUTSTANDING. They did not seem to be frozen and they were crisp, without grease or residue. For our return trip we were already given the what’s up on their Chicken Bacon Club which sounds fabulous. If you are looking for a FANTASTIC lunch without cutting holes in your pockets this is the place. Give this place a shot as it will not disappoint. Keep in mind that they do close by 3pm.

I feel compelled to update my review because I just tried their breakfast for the first time and It was absolutely amazing! The French toast as others have stated is out of this world and the best I’ve ever had. They use the same fresh homemade bread that they make the sandwiches with but they add cinnamon which makes the flavor simply fantastic! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon could convert a vegan. I love this place and you should too!

I hope this place never change a thing. Food was pretty great and cheap. Nice chef/owners. It was a bit hot inside but I understand because they are cooking and grilling right there.

Awesome food, over the top service and perfect laid back atmosphere!!! We came from Michigan for a tennis tournament and decided to give El Paseo Grill a shot since we had 17 people in our group. They welcomed us with open arms and had our food out to us quickly. Everyone in the group gave it two thumbs u, and that’s not easy when you’re trying to please a huge group. Kudos!!! LOVETHISPLACE!

You know how sometimes when you order a chicken breast sandwich and you bite into it, you really have tug and pull and chew because it’s dense and rubbery? Not here. Nope. Not even close. Spicy chicken sandwich(I got it with no bread) was awesome. They said their bread was really good but I avoided the temptation. The sammy is augmented with their special spicy mayo-Jamaican jerk aioli. I had reservations about the jerk part because I’m typically not a fan. I was politely educated that not all jerk sauces are sweet, and theirs is not. I could order the aioli by the jar to dip fries in. It’s spicy and leaves the tongue slightly burning but not so much you lose the actual spice flavor so. Also they claimed their coleslaw was the best. Well they weren’t lying. I forget, living in the South, that coleslaw doesn’t have to be all light colored and swimming in sauce. They mix kale or chard into theirs. The dressing is slightly sweet but it VERY lightly coats the slaw, so it’s not overpowering(again not being a fan of sweet sauces, I was not offended; just the opposite). Owned by a couple, Chris and Carol(since both of these names could be male/female, I will not assume who is which), from Ukiah in Northern California. They have cool comics on the wall that are done by their son. They also have flyers of music shows from Berkeley, Portland and other northern venues including the Alley Grill in Ukiah which they used to own. The couple was in the kitchen making my lunch. K.R. the cashier was lovely as well. Please go! It’s a local charmer amongst chain food restaurants and the food here doesn’t have to be over-decorated to be excellent. It’s located 2 doors down from Starbucks.

My favorite Unilocal find in the desert! Been here twice now and have been thrilled both times. Excellent service directly from the owners and the food is absolutely spot on delicious, gorgeous presentation and incredible quality. You will not be disappointed. I can see it’s going to soon be a once a week addiction for me…

First time here for breakfast as a result of excellent ratings. Had the atmosphere of a Georgetown coffee house with excellent service & very fresh tasteful Egg burrito, potatoes & fruit. We will do it again! Might be a little bit on the pricey side though but worth it.

This place is awsome! Friendly staff, great food and food choices, nice atmosphere, calm music and they make everything from scratch. I would have taken a picture of the blur cheese buger and the blt but it looked so good I devoured it before even thinking about Unilocal! This place is a must try and I am definitely coming back!

–Arrival I asked if we can sit anywhere, I was kindly greeted. And told yes I can however I have to order at the front counter.(I personally am not a fan of this order style at a restaurant.) –Ordering The menu is simple large lunch menu. With a smaller simpler breakfast menu. The menus are priced almost like an al-a-carte menu combos and additional items at extra cost.(Again I am not a fan of this style menu as it gives the feel of a fast food joint) –Seating In general the seating is arranged as would be expected for a small restaurant or café. With one exception the booth are not traditional 1 table booths. They are instead split tables that one would find for 2 seater seating that are placed side by side.(I have a family so this table split doesn’t work for my family as the children see it as a game to run between sides of the booth seats) –The food The food was great simple but amazing the ingredients are fresh and breads are bakery not factory. The presentation is also done well. –The Staff All were very helpful and customer service was felt at the beginning and at time of food delivery. My thoughts. This place is definetely for the sheik, semi-hipster crowd it would do well as a café more than a grill. I don’t feel it caters to young family’s or children in anyway. But if I was here on a date or lunch with the wife it would be a nice litle place.
