We hired Acme Moving and Storage to move our belongings out of our house and into storage. Our experience with them was exceptional. They sent three men… Jesse, Jerry and Jordan to move us. They arrived on time and really knew what they were doing. My husband and I were impressed with how hard they worked and how well they knew their job. Thanks guys!

Acme Moving did an excellent job moving me only 5 miles within my home city. The job was done in just about four hours and the movers were friendly, professional and very efficient. They got everything from point A to point B and nothing was damaged. I’d highly recommend them.

This moving company is absolutely wonderful. Both Jerry and Ralph removed a HUGE bed to be moved to a residence else. Ralph and Jerry called a few minutes before their arrival and arrived on time, per scheduling. Moving and loading that huge bed was not an easy task, but they did so quickly, safely and professionally. Besides which, Ralph and Jerry were very pleasant guys. I highly recommend this moving company and Ralph and Jerry for your furniture moving needs.

Very professional. Their crew worked tirelessly in the rain to ensure the job was done, and did not complain a peep. Everything was neatly packed and not even the most fragile item was damaged during our 500 mile move. Highly recommend!

We have moved a number of times, with a few disasters along the way. But our move with Acme was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.
Maurice actually looked at what we were moving and gave us a fair price (in same range as other estimates). On moving day the crew arrived exactly when they said they would be there.
David, Jessie and MJ were efficient, polite and very skillful. They shrink wrapped all the furniture and made sure all boxes were marked. Once we got to our new home they set up beds and placed all furniture where we wanted it.
Moving can be stressful and chaotic. So if you want a company to smooth out the bumps, call Acme. You’ll be happy you did!

What a pleasure to use a professional and thorough company to transport goods northbound and southbound. Their drivers were professional and businesslike in their customer relations. Very dependable and on time. Recommend them highly and will certainly use them again.

From the moment they came to the house for the initial estimate, through the careful packing up and delivery of every single thing, these guys were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond, taking care to sort things between two delivery spots and making sure that my elderly mother was comfortable as they worked in the house. I can’t say enough about their professionalism and kindness. Highly recommended!!!

This was the worst experience with movers. The driver David is clearly incompetent in driving the vehicle. He took 45 minutes to park the truck at each location. They brought a 53′ trailer to move a 1 bedroom apt and this was just the first of many ridiculous antics he pulled. They took 3 hrs to load a fully packed apt. He parked over 200 yards away which lead to longer trips to load the truck.
When we finally got to the new place, which was less than 7 miles (he took 40 minutes to drive this distance) he took another 30 minutes to park.
They finally started to unload the truck and we less than careful. He denied having ripped my mattress although I witnessed him staring at the rip and then instructing the helpers to cover it up with the box springs. When I pointed this out to him, he became very angry and screamed that he never saw the tear. I called the office twice during the move and they tried to justify the incompetency of their supervisor. I stated that I would not pay for David taking so long to park. When they were finally finished, David came to me with an invoice for way more than I would ever pay. Only after stating that I had called the office, and would not pay for his parking nor for the rip in the mattress, did he take a discount off. I only paid the price so that he would leave. I just wanted him gone.
The helpers, Aldo and Kyle were GREAT! The driver/​supervisor David was a joke and a jerk. He treated the helpers so poorly and yelled at them throughout the move. He smelled disgusting (bo/​and bad breath) and was a completely incompetent «supervisor». He should be fired immediately but given the other reviews, the owners are just as ridiculous.
Save your money, time, and frustration, and pick a different moving company.

Acme moved us competently, quickly and safely. The movers did a great job and worked tirelessly — literally all day. They had a nearly 3 hour drive each way to get our house and then back home. I will use them again when I move next.

They are the VERY best. We moved from Indio, CA to Port Ludlow, Wa. The guys who loaded us were exceptional, courteous, on time and knew what they were doing. The guys who unloaded us were the same – very nice guys with customer service as their #1 goal. Our items arrived on time and without ANY DAMAGE — this company knows what they are doing!
I have moved 8 times and Acme is the very best of all the movers I have used.
Don’t hesitate to use them. Call Maurice he is a man with moving experience and can make your move flawless. If there were 10 stars I would give this company all 10!

See my comments Nov. 2014. We moved our vacation home from La Quinta to Phoenix and were amazed with this company. So this year when we decided to sell our primary home in Salem, Or and move full time to Phoenix, we called Maurice. He had previously told us that his guys are up and down I-​5 all the time and to give him a call when we were ready to move. We were able to coordinate with a load he had coming this way. Again Doug and Ely were here on time, worked hard and were very polite. Our daughter met them at our home in Phoenix where they unloaded in a timely manner. Nothing was damaged (we had a large glass coffee table and a large mirror that I was concerned about). We will continue to recommend them in a heartbeat…

After decades of picking up and moving every few years, I’d expect it would get easier. But, that isn’t the case. The easiest part our most recent transplant was the actual move, which we credit to Acme. This was our fourth (and FINAL) move in 6 years. We used Acme on all but the first move and we couldn’t be more satisfied. They arrived each time, on time, and completed the packing process quickly while taking great care with our property. This most recent move we also used their storage facility for 7 days. Maurice worked with us on the drop off date and we received our property the day after closing. The entire process went smooooooooth and without a hitch. We don’t plan on making another move for some time. But, sincerely, if you’re looking for a trustworthy moving company you won’t go wrong with Acme.

They moved me locally in about 2 hours and have helped my friends move across country and helped me with courier service professionally. If you have a problem Maurice has the solution.

Moved my mother in law from Palm Desert to San Diego. Showed up time. Were nice, courteous movers. Charged me less than the estimate. Way less than other quotes. Maurice was a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. I would use them again and would highly recommend.

Acme is the Best! 4 great guys moved us from 4400 sq ft in Rancho Mirage to Orange County. It was a long day– 7 to midnight! Not one complaint– guys were clean, respectful, experienced and so accommodating! My husband was also very impressed! They were eager to go the extra mile– moving some of my many antiques several times to help me make up my mind– they had patience galore! Acme moved my friend & I from Bermuda Dunes to San Bernardino without a hitch. The price was reasonable based on the other quotes I’d gotten and I went with them because they had no problem answering all of my nervous questions on the initial call. The movers were very polite and responded to all of my suggestions. Would highly recommend!

Acme just got through moving us from Palm Desert to Scottsdale, Az. This has been a basically stress free move, and we will NOT hesitate to call them again. Needless to say, moving across state is not easy, but from the get go we were made to feel comfortable and secure with this entire process. The movers were kind and considerate, and went above and beyond helping us find the items were we looking for amidst the large amount of boxes. They were concerned we might not be able to get in our garage and re-​arranged boxes to make our entry and exit worked well. Acme obviously takes great care in servicing his customers and hires an excellent conscientious staff. Thank you again for helping to take the stress out of this journey.

THREATENED WITH VIOLENCE BY MAURICE, THE OWNER OF ACME MOVING!!!
Acme is the worst moving company I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. After wasting TWO DAYS of my time waiting for Acme to show up as promised, they finally showed up at NIGHT, without any equipment necessary to do the job. They promised me they would show up the next morning to do the job and would bring the proper equipment. They never showed up, never called, and when I called to find out where they were I was told they were on another job. When I called Maurice, the owner, to ask if they ever planned on doing my job, he said it was MY fault that his crew didn’t show up for two days. Then, Maurice became very angry… and said since he already had my address, he would be coming over to my house to beat me up! That sort of behavior isn’t only evidence of psychological instability, it is also totally uncalled for under the circumstances. Acme moving is the LAST company I would ever have anywhere near my house or my family. I actually had to call the police and report Maurice’s threat, since he did in fact have my address, and threatening a customer with violence over a simple moving job… well, it sort of speaks for itself. There are lots of other courteous and professional companies who can do your moving for you in the Coachella Valley. Acme Moving is the LAST company I would use. Unless you like dealing with violent people like the owner Maurice!

Acme Moving & Storage is fantastic! I was given a written estimate with something other moving companies don’t do –Maurice gave me a guarantee not to exceed the estimate! It was a great price for moving out of the Indio to Menifee CA.
I have had one of those experiences where the movers held my possessions until I paid $ 400 more than the estimate. It was such a relief to be treated with respect and not worrying if I was going to get taken. The 3 movers were polite and professional too. They were punctual and did not drag thier feet to stretch out the time.
I highly recommend the Acme Moving company to anyone needing a good, trustworthy company!
