I come here out of necessity only. It is absolutely amazing to me of the lack of knowledge and laziness of customer service you can get all in one place. Most of my know how comes from You Tube and DIY websites, yet I am a scholar compared to most of who I come in contact with here. It is frustrating and taxing for me every time.

Terrible customer service! If you are special ordering anything from the kitchen cabinet or counter dept DONOT do it here. Go to Lowes or even make the drive to the HD in Daytona. I went to the kitchen dept to order a custom counter for our new kitchen cabinets(purchased elsewhere). The girl that does all the special orders is so rude. She is not helpful. Asking questions just makes things worse. If you don’t have all your paperwork ready she gets angry and tells you to come back when you have everything ready for her. The only moment she actually was descent was when we gave her payment. Keep in mind they require full payment when ordering. I placed the order and thought everything was fine. I was told 2 – 3 weeks. Two days later I receive a call that there will be additional costs. I’m now in the hands of the special order dept. I thought things were bad before, this nightmare just got worse! Ok, so I paid the additional fees for the special edge on the counter, but wait now there is an additional $ 250 fee to deliver to a condo. At this point I cancel the install all together. I just want the original counters and a refund for all the install fees. Haha, try getting your money back. That was a week long war. Not to mention all this time the counter has not even been sent to manufacturing. I had originally asked for a rush on this which she knew. 5 weeks later the counter is delivered. Now the counter is the wrong size, and the sink is not even cutout. I called again and the rude girl in special orders just told me someone will call. Well later I did get a call. I was told the reason the sink was not cutout is because I failed to give the sink HD sku number to the girl. This is a complete lie. I gave her the sink info and the HD sku the same day I placed the order. I am sure she intentionally neglected to give this info to manufacturing. She has really worked hard to make sure we had a bad experience. Revenge for the hassle to refund us for not paying for install. I am now waiting to see what manufacturing is going to do about the second counter that is the wrong size and does not fit. Like I originally said, Do Not deal with this department. Go to any other HD or better yet Lowes across the street.

24 Hour Installation on Water Heaters(that is what the signs say all over the store and website-and yes we did qualify for all the small print). Not really, not even close. Try 5 days. They have a million and one excuses, it’s everyone’s fault but theirs. At the end of the day Home Depot is responsible for Home Depot’s claims and Home Depot’s contracted vendors. Shame on you Home Depot. My Lowe’s card is looking prettier and prettier. If you like water, water everywhere then Home Depot is the place for you!

We moved into an empty house in Palm Coast in December, and the first thing we did was take advantage of Home Depot’s «Black Friday» sale to buy a refrigerator, washer and dryer. We were impressed for three reasons. First, we got there kind of late in the day on the last day of the sale, but the staff was still very accommodating in helping us figure out what to get. Secondly, they could have pushed the higher ticket items, but we got moderately priced appliances that we are happy with. Third, after we finally decided, it was almost closing time, but Therese stayed and helped us complete our order and set up delivery. It must have been almost 8:30 when we left! Since then, we’ve been to Home Depot to purchase many other items that were necessary to get ourselves comfortable until our furniture arrived almost 3 months later. If they can’t help, they can recommend a place to look for help. Every time we go back, if we see someone we saw on a previous visit, they remember us and say«hi.» On one of our many visits, we noticed that they install gutters, which we definitely needed, so we asked for a quote, which we accepted. The contractor came when he said he would, and although the installation did not occur on the scheduled day, but they called to let us know there was a problem and rescheduled at a time convenient for us. They came on time and finished the job that day. Now we no longer have a waterfall off our roof when it rains! We also needed ceiling fans and in the end elected to go somewhere else, but staff at Home Depot spent a lot of time explaining air flow and what fans are best for different sizes of rooms. We would definitely recommend Home Depot as a source for DIY help.

Thank you Jesse for help with blinds. Was given excellent customer service. He was very informative and took the time to explain everything. Also Eddie was outstanding assisting with door knobs. Keep up the good work guys!

I purchased some cut-to-fit shades but they were cut incorrectly. 5 windows are the same size, measurements were provided for the 5 windows but only 2 of the 5 shades fit. I was not allowed to return them so I get to eat the cost. Went to Lowe’s, was easier to find help, got what I needed(cut CORRECTLY) so I will just make the rest of my major purchases for my new house there instead.
